So excited to try this place. Delivery took 30 minutes on a Saturday night so I was super impressed! The sauce had good flavor, but the cheese was in one hard layer and the thin crust was thick and chewy. So bummed out, I really wanted to make this my new joint!

This is my usual Friday Lunch joint provided my boss isn't on a power trip. While this place is known for it's specialty pizzas, I prefer their sandwiches, paninis, salads, and wraps. I really like their Chicken Cordon Blue and Club grinders. I also love their BBQ Cheddar Bacon Burger on days when I have a bigger appetite. Any of the above topped off with a side of sweet potato fries and you will be leaving fat, full, and happy.
If you are fiending for pizza and don't order a specialty pie, skip the slices and grab some of their pizza bread. You won't be sorry.
The staff is always great and if Janetta is around, you will know it as she will be checking up on and chatting with you. If you have time for a beer definetly grab a Kentucky Bourbon and oh yeah...don't sleep on the Gorganzola Walnut Salad. Try it with their Cilantro lime vinagrette.

Amazing. My favorite thin crust in the city. The sauce is delicious, a little too sweet for some but I think perfect. Expert tip: ask for extra sauce on the bottom for maximum efficiency. The delivery is always quick and correct. My only complaint is the fact that they only let you use one coupon at a time when they saturate you in them via snail mail and text. Really? You have a monthly special yet you cannot use a coupon for free delivery in conjunction with that? Doesn't really make much sense...sigh...I will be back again...and again....and again...despite this issue.

Gross. Just ordered the margherita pizza and had to throw it out after 2 bites. It was way OVERLY loaded with raw garlic. The must have used a soup ladel to load it on. Literally disgusting, at one point we were actually chewing whole pieces of raw garlic. Nasty.

Believe it or not, I was actually in the neighborhood for a Girl Scout Leader training two blocks down the street on Halsted and Chicago. This place was recomended by the staff at the Journeyworld facility.

I was here today with two girlfriends/co-leaders for lunch. The restaurant space behind the small bar area is pretty sparse and lacking in atmosphere. But the service was friendly and efficient.

The $6.95 salad and garlic bread special with the order of a drink, $3 for Bud Lites and $4.50 for Blue Moon's, is a pretty good deal. I had the Tuscan. It wasn't the greatest salad ever but it was pretty good with lots of crispy fresh romaine and not too much dressing. I wasn't really too full afterward but the garlic bread helped. I would stop by again at one of their other restaurants when in the neighborhood.

I use to eat lunch at this place all the time a few years ago, from time to time we would have to give them a break because lil dude behind the counter had a fucked up attitude, but the pizza was good so we would always end up going back, i would sometimes day drink on my lunch break and they made a pretty good martini , well the other day i was hungry as hell and just so happened to pass by this place. we had to stop for a slice so i went with the usual deep dish sausage plus sauce with a ginger ale for $5. It was the same massive slice of goodness i remember the kinda sweet sauce, tons of cheese(you must eat this hot or it will turn into a big ass brick of cheese) big bites of sausage good filling slice of pizzza

Thank you D Agostino's for the horrible service and bad attitudes. You ruined a birthday surprise. Companies and employees like yours teach us what NOT to do in our business. I am greatly appreciative.

I'm not even close to being a complainer and I usually give companies the benefit of the doubt because I know how hard running a business is. But, when I call the day before ordering a basic pizza, wings, salad FOR A SURPRISE BDAY MEAL, and gaurantee it will be ready at 10:15am, please be true to your word and get it done around that time. If not, get your ass up from your chair and let me know it's taking longer than expected. Don't just let me in, sit me in the waiting area and pretend I'm not there and have me wait for 45 minutes.

My biggest gripe are companies that are defensive and put the blame on the customer. It's just funny to me. You guys clearly screwed up - take responsibility. It's called INTEGRITY and it goes a long way.

From the highest to the lowest chain in the link, you need to establish a culture. This girl would fit perfectly in the DMV.

And nothing really bugs me. I'm a pretty easy going guy. I don't rant much. But this did piss me off :)

I always feel like when I give three stars it is a little mean. Not this time. D'Ags is really just A-ok. I mean when it is 11pm where the hell else ya gonna order from? Mc'd aint deliverin' and you really aint goin out anywhere so why the hell not?

If you order traditional, known pizza combinations you are safe. Veer into their specialty pizzas and the uncharted territory becomes very murky and quite unpredictable. I mean really really unpredictable. The BBQ chicken pizza is chunks of chicken breast with cheese on top then BBQ sauce is seemingly added on top. And it seemed like where the tomato sauce should be was BBQ sauce too. I was confused to look at it and my taste buds were entirely perplexed.

Ordered garlic bread with marinara. Got charged for the marinara but not the garlic bread. Only got the marinara. Not the garlic bread. Why the hell would anyone order a side of marinara sauce with BBQ chicken pizza? The idea made me want to vomit.

Never been to the brick and mortar restaurant. Pretty sure I'm not missing much. I'll continue to order from here basically because it is in my hood and the options are limited late night. Will I like it? Who knows, it's like a crap shoot with this place.

Echoing other reviewers... I like this place. Neighborhood bar/restaurant. Good, inexpensive food for delivery, eat-in, carry out. Love the thin crust pizza.

Service is very good, and friendly. Favorite place of many locals to hang out and grab a bite to eat.

I like this place. I order take out from here often.

The restaurant is bigger than I expected. Sit down table seating on the side and a bar with bar table seating.

Prompt, friendly service. Appears they have specials (food & drink) throughout the week. Pizza is decent for a quick slice. Sandwiches are tasty. They have Pepsi products...yay.

I will be back.

I placed an order for a work meeting to feed 35 people this week. Sarah (a manager) helped me with my order even though the phones were knocked out due to the high winds! She went the extra mile and was receiving and making calls from her cell.

Anyway, the food was high quality and everything went smoothly. I finalized my order around 12:30pm for same day 4:30pm delivery. We ordered a tray of chicken parm with meat sauce, another with marinara and then a cheese lasagna. Also good was the Greek salad and desserts. We had the chocolate chip cookies and brownie bites. I am fairly certain the brownie bites are deep fried - a very nice and unexpected touch!

Thanks for all your help, Sarah! This has been the best experience of the 4 orders I have made for this group of 35 over the past month.

Loooove the pizza at Dags! I usually prefer deep dish, but the thin crust pizza here is the best in the city IMO. This is my go-to pizza by the slice place from now on. Especially since it's on the drive home from work. Never had a bad experience with Dags.

We've been loyal Dags customers for about 6 years - ordering for delivery probably 3-4 times per month. They've never been the fastest or best priced option around but delivery was always "on time", the food always arrived hot, and the menu had a large enough variety that satisfied all sorts of cravings...

THINGS HAVE CHANGED BIG TIME.

About 6 months ago was when we first noticed a shift in their customer service and delivery. Our order was about 30 minutes late and had missing items. I called and was told "they have a new computer system which is causing certain menu items to print incorrectly on the tickets for the kitchen" - um. OK. Well, if that's a known issue - maybe get the right checking system in place to get things right. Anyway, they placed a credit on our account for our next order and assured me things would be fixed. Guess what? Not fixed. On the next 3-4 orders (yeah, I guess it's my fault for continuing to give them the benefit of the doubt) - there was something wrong/missing on each and every order. And, every single time I would call back to inform them and receive what barely passed as an apology. I've had other restaurants get items wrong before and they always send a driver super fast with the replacement - nope, not Dags - on all orders they've said I'd have to wait another 45-60 minutes, so I just kept saying "fine" to the credits on my account for next time.

Fast forward to tonight - craving some Dags food and decide to drive over and pick it up thinking that would do the trick.

Wanna guess?

YOU GOT IT!

Another incorrect item.

Sooooo....

I called and the first guy who answered the phone didn't offer an apology, didn't offer a credit, just said they'd send the replacement in 45-60 minutes - told him we didn't have time to wait that long and he said, sorry, we're busy - nothing else we can do. Click.

LIVID.

Called back; someone else answered - I asked for the manager and she had the audacity to tell me "we're very busy, the manager doesn't have time to get on the phone" So, I proceeded to explain to her the above to which she nastily said she'd "credit my account" - I informed her I had no intention of ordering from them ever again and would prefer to have my credit card refunded the amount of the item that was missing to which I was told that their policy for customers with incorrect orders is to provide a credit on their Dags account as they're "unable to credit back to credit cards"(hmmm, I guess I'm clearly not the only one). She then offered the wonderful advice that "the best way to ensure that my order was correct was to ask the people at the take-out counter to check my food when I pick it up" (wait, what about when ordering delivery?) - I said I would imagine that's part of their process to which she replied "it's not".

WHAT A F'IN JOKE.

This place has been excused.

I can only tolerate eating pizza once or twice a year because it's not my most favorite thing to eat. I'll be honest, sometimes the thought of certain kinds of pizza makes me a little barfy, like say deep dish, or pepperoni *gulp* *gag* *hell to the no*

I had their thin crust recently and it wasn't too bad- it's decent.. I appreciated that the sauce had a little sweetness to it. I enjoyed that. Just zesty enough with some sweetness. Thin, cheesy enough, liked their sauce. Nice guys. The end. Til next year!

I love pizza and so does my BF. So i'm always down for trying pizza (although my waistline makes me pay for it). We've been wanting good thin crust for quite some time but somehow the universe just wasn't cooperating. Now mind you, I LOVE carbs so i usually go for a thicker/doughier crust but the BF had been raving about this place. This was a return trip for him and my first trip to D'Ags (as he so affectionately calls it) and I wasn't disappointed.

We ate in. Were told to sit anywhere. As soon as we walked in i took a whiff and thought "this is gonna be good". We ordered the special (One medium 1-topping thin crust pizza for $10) times 2; one w sausage and one w pepperoni. We always get sausage but for some crazy reason we were both in the mood for pepperoni as well... to my astonishment we both liked the pepperoni better! Whaaaaaa?! All good though, the sausage was def good too.

The lowdown:
Loved, loved, loved the thin crust. Nice and crispy but didnt hurt the roof of my mouth as i munched. The sauce was on the sweeter side .. took me back to my childhood Southside pizzeria experiences. :-) "South Side!" I asked our waiter for a side cup of pizza sauce. I thought the pizza could use a little more sauce and besides I'm a crust dipper.

Extra sausage points:
They have alcoholic drinks here besides beer. At times i need to give in to my Mexi-Italian heritage.. so sometimes i want a margarita w my pizza. I ordered your standard Margarita (easy on the sour mix) -- Yums.

Verdict:
Hell yeah i'll be back! The price is good. The pizza is good. The sauce is good. And so was my Margie!

I try not to eat pizza too often, but it always seems to be what people want when visiting Chicago. And while most want deep dish my husband and I always try to steer them in the direction of thin crust pizza instead. Deep dish just doesn't do it for us.

I've never actually been to DAgostino's, but it's appeared at my doorstep many times. It appeared most recently when a pregnant friend was visiting. I obviously couldn't say no to a pregnant woman when she wanted pizza, although I had no problem saying no to Lou Malnati's.

While it's not the best pizza I've ever had, I have to admit that DAgostino's makes a pretty tasty thin crust pizza. We usually stick with the typical toppings: mushrooms, pepperoni and occasionally even some peppers. I find their peppers to be super hot and feared during my last DAgostino's indulgence that our visiting friend would go into labor, but fortunately that didn't happen.

I always eat way more pizza than I"m planning to since it's too good for self control. However, it is nice when there's leftovers because I've learned that DAgostino's tastes even better the nxt day.

What a dilemma to have?!? To live in an up and coming neighborhood and have an array of restaurants that deliver to me. The decision can be mind-boggling at times.

However, last night the decision was made for me. As I had friends bring in carry out and they chose this establishment. I had never eaten from this restaurant before, but have seen it many times on my commute home. As I reviewed the website and the vast menu selection, I came to realize this wasn't your average pizza place. And judging from their many locations around the city, the quality of the fare must be decent. Well, I was definitely not disappointed.

I ordered one of their signature salads. I know, I know, salad at a pizza/pub, but the salad sounded too appetizing. I ordered the half salad, which was substantial, dare I see almost too large, for me and hearty to boot. My meal was tasty and enjoyable. For me to say that about a salad is saying a lot.

Since I only received the salad, I can only speak about the great quality of the meal. I look forward to placing an order and visiting this place to get a better feel for their service.

Okay this is getting a little ridiculous. You know that little box that tells you to write your next review, well it is doing a number on me tonight. I swear to Jebus that I wrote a review for Dags before. Unreal. But enough about me.

Dags has slowly become my favorite thin crust pizza in town. Seriously. I think it's the sweet sauce, it grew on me. It now has its dirty little claws in me. Dags is not even close to me, I go miles out of my way just to "pick up a pizza on the way home". Something about the cheese too.

Oh and the bar's pretty cool too. Bartenders are always friendly and attentive, service is good when dining in. Parking is usually always available. Oh they've got good ice cream too, if you're into that sort of thing.

I so wanted to like D'Agostino's. I have lived near the Wrigley location for years and always wondered, and then I happened to be near the one on Ogden and was starving, so I decided to check it out.
From reading the other reviews I see that the pizza has gotten raves, so maybe I will have to give them another try. I had the lasagne, and while it wasn't bad, there was absolutely nothing that made it different from any other dime-a-dozen basic Italian restaurant. My friend said the same thing about her veggie calzone.

They are onto something with the Tuscan salad! If they would add some broccoli and cauliflower, and take out the onions, it may be my new favorite! (although the CPK Miso salad is also my new favorite...minus the fried crap). This is what is nice about the Tuscan, is there is no junk food on it.

Of course I will complain they are stingy with the artichoke hearts, because I can never have too many. But the sundried tomatoes, pine nuts, and goat cheese were ample. Plus there were both red and yellow bell peppers. Not just one color bell pepper.

I really like the thin crust pizza, even though the sauce is very sweet.

I am now addicted!

After trying the Wrigleyville location, I decided yesterday to get delivery from this local which is closer to me. I ordered the medium sausage and the guy told me it would be about an hour. The pizza made it to me in 30 mins!
I ate almost the whole pizza because I could not stop devouring that tasty sauce! This is my new favorite thin crust! I just heated up the last two slices left over from yesterday and it was just as good

It is not safe that they are close enough to deliver to me

I just tried to order the "Monday" special listed on the DAgostinos website. Similar to, but not the same, as the "Football" special. And was told that they are no longer doing the "Football" special over and over. It's not the same kids. I explained to the woman that answered the phone then to the manager who looked at the website and said it's a mistake. Guess what? I order all the time from Dags in Wrigley and will reconsider this from now on. Always glad when a regular customer is taken care of. Way to go Dags!

Edit: Dags quickly contacted me via Facebook and offered me a free pizza for the misunderstanding. I won't be taking it as the treatment on the phone was awful but It's a nice gesture that they would try and set things straight.

Just good pizza. Probably the best delivery place in the area. I recommend the thin crust, cut into squares just like when you were a kid eating after soccer practice. Fresh sausage and that "good" cheese.

They have a wide variety of things here, most of which are decent Chicago pub food...but their pizza is just great.

Check out their special deals and order online.

Finally, a thin crust pizza in Chicago that is worthy of delivery! The thin crust is excellent!

My favorite salad is the Gorgonzola walnut salad, which you can order in half or full sizes. The homemade balsamic dressing is awesome. They don't mind when I customize the order (no Gorgonzola, add shredded mozzarella!).

I love the thin crust cheese. The sauce has this sweet flavor that is unusual and VERY tasty. The crust is perfectly crispy, and thin not too thin (Marcello's - yuck!).

The location inside is small, but has a nice casual feel with a bar and some TVs, and friendly staff. There's also a little patio outside which is nice in the summer.

When I'm feeling like splurging, this is where I order my pizza from. Their thin crust pizza is excellent. I don't think I've ever tried their pan or stuffed crust varieties, so I cannot attest to their quality. I have also not dined in so I can't comment on that.

But back to their thin crust 'za. It's some good stuff. Some might find the sauce a little sweet, but I like it. The crust is thin and crunchy and they do not skimp on the toppings. Mostly I've ordered the Dags Special (sausage, green peppers, onions & mushrooms) and the Vegetarian Special (4 veggies of your choosing). This isn't my absolute favorite pizza in the city, but it's definitely in the upper ranks.

I also recently tried their lasagna for the first time. It was good. Now I'm a lasagna connoisseur, so I can't say this was among the best I've had, but I would order it again. The portion was also huge; I got two meals out of it.

You can order from their website, but beware of a "service charge" above and beyond the delivery fee. They are also on grubhub without the extra charge. They only have a $10 minimum delivery order which is nice. It's certainly not hard to get up to $10...I think their pizza is a just a tad pricey, which is why I say this is my pizza place for splurgin'. The delivery is usually pretty quick. Heck, my lasagna arrived in 20 minutes! Only the Thai place six blocks up the street has beat that.

I grew up on Lou Malnati's, worked at Giordano's during my college days (and basically survived on stuffed pizza) , and have eaten just about every other kind of pizza in the greater Chicago area. D'Agastino's is, hands down, the absolute best friggin' pizza in the world.

The sauce is sweet - it sort of tastes like Spaghetti-Os sauce (yummy!), the thin crust is super-thin and crunchy (one reviewer complained that it was like Matzo, I think that is a great thing!), their pan pizzas are saucy and buttery, and their delivery service has never let me down.

I no longer live in the city and still regularly make the trek down to get a carry-out pizza, I've also visited their Glenview location which has been just as good of quality as the Ogden store.

I dream about this pizza. My mouth is watering just writing a review about it! If you like buttery, sweet, saucy pizza, you haven't lived until you've had D'Agostino's!!

While I can't review the restaurant experience itself, I have ordered take out from here through http://grubhub.com a couple times and have had great experiences with them.

First, their delivery minimum is only $10, which is low compared to other delivery places. This means if just you and a friend want to split a medium cheese pizza and nothing else, you're not forced into buying extra things just to be able to hit the minimum.

Next, the food has been delicious- I've done both thin crust and deep dish and they were both great for delivery pizza.. Now mind you that the times I order pizza rather than cooking are times that I am ravenously hungry and craving something cheesy, but even beyond that, it seemed pretty good..

Finally, delivery is pretty quick, and they have beaten their estimated delivery time both times: always a plus considering pizza is usually ordered with grumbling stomachs already.

Overall, I really have no urge to mess around with other Chicago pizza delivery places, unless I hear really great reviews about a particular place. For the price, quality, and efficiency of D'Agostino's delivery, it would be hard to beat.

One of my biggest pet peeves about delivery folk is that they don't follow my explicit instructions on how to get to my very hard to find apartment. No, I don't have a buzzer. Yes, you have to technically illegally open the gate from the inside and walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my coach house apartment, but I'm a good tipper. So there.

The 'za is actually pretty tasty. There's a lot to be said for the sweet sauce, and their sausage is fantastic. My pizza always arrives hot and in well under the one-hour quote.

So what's the problem, hence the 3 star review? Aside from delivery person issues, D'Ags is probably one of the pricier pizza options in the hood. I once ordered a large thin crust and 6 pack of diet coke and paid almost $30 without tip, but in a neighborhood where options are limited, you take what you can get.

So, I'm beginning to really like pizza. Seriously. I know, a Chicagoan that isn't fond of pizza is like a Chicagoan that puts ketchup on their hot dog (which I also do!)

I really like D'Agostino's pizza, more particularly I love their BBQ chicken pizza. Plus, they will make my pizza with either half cheese, or no cheese at all for me! How super nice and great is that for me!?

I will be back for delivery, carry-out and dining in! :-)

Even though we live closer to pizza meccas like Coal Fire and Salerno's, and there's definitely no shortage of run-of-the-mill joints nearby like Bella's, Pizza Metro, and Pizza-ria, we'd still rather make the trek down Chicago Ave to D'Agostino's to satsify our pizza pie fix.

I'm not exactly a Chicago-style thin-crust maven, but D'Agostino's makes a fine version that I've actually become quite a big fan of. The sauce is pretty unique I would say, a bit sweet, a bit tangy, very tasty. They aren't stingy with the toppings, and the veges taste fresh and the meats are flavorful. The Dag's Special (Sausage, Peppers, Onion) sounds pretty standard, but it's truly excellent.

The rest of their menu is pretty extensive, with everything from fried calamari to Rib-eyes and BBQ ribs. They have a fully stocked bar, and they have a nice selection of local beers, which is always a nice plus.

For us, the best thing about D'Agostino's is that they are very accomodating to dog-owners. Our six-month old puppy loves to go there (the busboy brings him out a take-out container full of icecubes!) and sit with us while we enjoy the weather and nosh on pizza.

It might not be the most innovative or most authentic pizza experience in Chicago, but they keep it simple, and they make things tasty, so we'll always be looking forward to going back again.

We got pizza delivered from here at work for lunch the other week. All around is was really good pizza. I was able to try the thin and deep. Both excellent. Their BBQ chicken pizza is good stuff but really messy.

They did say the pizza was going to be ready within 45 minutes but it didn't show up for an hour and a half. If I was with someone who wanted to get D'Agostino's I would be down but I think I am going to stick with Piece, My Pie and Art of Pizza for my pies.

I've been ordering delivery from either with the Lakeview or River West D'Agostino's for almost 5 years. Up until my Ah-Ha moment (as Oprah would say) - I proudly claimed D'Agostino's thin-crust pizza to be the best in the city! As some of the other yelpers have mentioned, their 'sweeter' sauce was (and still is) perfection in my eyes.

So like the typical girl when it comes to a relationship, we tend to overlook the bad and cling to all things that were good... well my relationship with D'Agostino's has been no different

Within the past year, I began to notice a disappointment everytime I ordered. Lately the River North's location has consistently delivered room temp pizzas that were typically border-line burnt (not a good combo)... which ends up masking the taste of their signature sauce that I love so much. I can't be the only one. Basically, I think they have some room for improvement these days... and like my analogy earlier, I'm finding it harder and harder to overlook the bad.

One of the best pizzas that I have ever had. Thin crust meatball and garlic, it was insanely delicious. I would for sure get it again. The crust had a really great chew, was firm, and just delish.
The sauce is sweet but I am not opposed to that.

you all know the routine re: pizza joints in chicago....you find a favorite, you eat it so much that it starts to fit into the "law of diminishing returns" and falls a bit on your pizza rating scale (but u still go back from time to time)...i bring you, Dag's.

For years this used to be me and mrs' fav pizza joint and we treated it as such, ordering it almost exclusively whenever "let's order a pizza tonight" came up. Well we may have overdone it, that and the fact that in the last few years we've come to love Piece, Crust, Metro to name a few.

But back to Dag's, it's more a 3.5 star and they still do a great thin crust pie. Their sauce is the highlight and we always tell them to put extra on, b/c it's a little skimpy on the sauce front, if not. It's still a place we order from but has taken somewhat of a backseat of late. Decent Wings, Mozz sticks and chicken fingers too.

The best pizza delivery to Logan Square, period.

Thin crust and thick crust are both really solid/ The sauce is tremendously sweet and the crust seems to made of semolina flour. No need to venture into the wild toppings. The regular pizza is great on its own.

I have never actually been to the restaurant, but am a regular delivery customer. Delivery is always speedy and friendly.

Not gonna be reviewed on, Check Please! Don't get me wrong, I like this place. Mostly because of the staff! Especially on Sunday afternoons/eve. You can hang at the bar and everyone is just so friendly. I've watched Bears games here, and the TV is horrible. But for modestly priced drinks nice people and well....so so pizza, check it out. After all pizza is like tacos and hamburgers, it only has to edible enough to enhance the taste of beer.

2 stars for the pizza, 4 for the staff.

I was rather disappointed after having dinner here. I had their bruschetta, which was mountain of tomatoes and olives on top of thick toasted french bread. It was ok, but not what I was expecting.

I order a deep pan Dag's pizza. Perhaps I would have been better off with the thin crust, but I figured Chicago was known for their deep pan pizza. The sauce wasn't that exciting, and the pizza was soggy.

I had a '312' beer, which is a local Chicago wheat ale. The beer was good, and came in a special glass.

Unfortunately, the beer didn't make up for the dinner, and I hate to say it, but I wish I had gone to Pizzera Uno's instead.

How can I be the first person to review this? How! There must be some mistake.

This restaurant has three locations. One in Glenview, one in Wrigleyville, and one in what I fondly call River West. I have only ever been to the River West location before. On average I'd say this place is average. I've never had amazing service or amazing food. One thing that they do well here, though, is their calzones. Ooh wee! They are good. Their sauce is so sweet and their cheese so cheesy. I'm a big fan. One piece of advice - don't get the zucchini in your calzone. They don't cook it long enough and its pretty crunchy still.

For dessert try their apple cinnamon ice cream. It's really really good too. Tastes like apple jacks but in an ice cream way. Yum.

** Convenience factor: The River West location is right off of the blue line Chicago stop. I mean RIGHT there.
