From what I remember when I lived in Sharon Hill and visited this place, it was divided into a bar on the left as you walked in and an Italian restaurant on the right.  I only ever went to the bar.  There was a dart board on one wall, between some small tables against the wall and the bar stools.  THAT was an accident waiting to happen.  I had my first Mudslide here--absolute fantastic.  I don't recall what made me order it (maybe i heard it on a TV show or something), but it came out in a seductive Belgian tulip glass, complete with a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry.  "Here's your Mudslide, sir."  My buddy with a beer just looked at me like I was nuts.  The prices were not exhorbitant (what do you expect from Folsom.)  I wished I had tried the Italian food in the restaurant area, but the whole place was just too shady for my young healthy bod to risk.

Ah, Domenico's...  At least for me, the name Domenico's may call up images of fancy Italian restaurants and outdoor patios.  Don't be fooled.  When I first walked in, I immediately felt like I was 10 years (or so) younger walking into some seedy beer joint near my hometown.  I never knew that so close to Philly such a down-home, white trash (and I say that with pride and admiration) local beer dive existed;  When we first walked in, a wall of stale (and fresh, if that makes it any better) cigarette smoke accosted us.  Right, there are only no smoking laws in effect IN Philly, not the grimy suburbs.  We sat at a table next to the bar (we were there to see a friend of a friend of a friend's band play, which is a story for another time) and ordered some food and beer.  Our waitress was pushing 18 years old and about 8 months pregnant, so we forgave the fact that she was quite possibly the worst waitress ever.  She messed up a few orders, forgot to bring us silverware, and frequently disappeared.  We gave her a tip anyway.  At least she smiled at us a lot.  The only thing that saves Domenico's from getting a two star are the quesadillas.  They are amazing.  And if you've read any of my friend Adam's reviews, that's very important to rating a restaurant.  Not only does Domenico's serve traditional chicken quesadillas (only super good ones) but they also serve seafood quesadillas which are overflowing with crab, shrimp, and scallops.  They were amazing, huge and cheap, and, as an added bonus, not one of us got food poisoning from them!  So, if you ever find yourself starving in Folcroft (I'm not sure when you would), stop in to Domenico's and treat yourself to some quesadillas!
