We had dinner here over the weekend. My surf and turf dinner was exceptional. Half a Maine lobster, stuffed with crab meat, and a steak. It was accompanied by some vegetables and whipped potatoes. Everything was excellent and the price of $27.95 was extremely reasonable. This is one of the best places to eat in the area.

Small place, excellent food.  Crab cakes are the best I have had in Florida.  Tuna appetizer is amazing as well.  High end steaks and seafood.  Can get busy and cramped.  I usually go for lunch or date night.  We have eaten at the bar a couple of times because we didn't want to wait.

We had a group of about 8 of us for a late dinner during the week. The place was not very busy but the service was terribly slow.  Not being a red meat person, I ordered a chicken dish.  My chicken was terribly overcooked and difficult to eat as it was so dry.  The others said their meals were ok but they wouldn't go back.

A friend of ours suggested this place to us an our expectations were high on the hamburger from a steakhouse... Wow we were disappointed! The service was awful since we were not drinking and not eating a $40 steak each, we were looked at as a group of hobos that just fell off the train. Out burgers were decent, but not worth $11 each! The slaw was overly peppered and the only good part of the meal was the fries... Very sad! The biggest issue came when they add 15% to the bill automatically and not tell us that they did so! The "surcharge" has always been added for some unheard of reason and the server tried to explain that he doesn't get an of that money... Rubbed my group of 3 the wrong way and we will never come back to this restaurant. Having horrible service and not being able to choose the level of tip on a group of 3 is unheard of and quite distasteful. Hire better severs and you won't have to add an auto charge!

No matter what time of the year it is this place is always packed!  Don't bother going without a reservation. We don't go very often even though it is in walking distance to our house. I have always been happy with my meal and I love the prime rib.  I like my meat rare and they run out of prime rib fast and they run out of rare prime rib even faster.  That would be my only disappointment.  They shouldn't run out of prime rib at 7:00 pm.  Oh but I feel like jumping up and down when they still have it.  Everyone complains about the gratuity added.... I understand when you are a tourist place and I know they have other places like guppies that might need the added gratuity but I really don't think they do since it is mainly locals that go there.  With that being said.... They can do whatever they want and if that is going to stop you from going then your loss not there's.  They are busy no matter what and they will not feel your missing business.

I love the tuna shashimi appetizer.  I like that you can bring your own wine (I think they charge an opening fee).  My husband and my father love the lamb and my mom loves the rodeo steak.  I 100% do not like the house Caesar salad that the meals come with... I love Caesars and it hurts me to look at it and not want even one bite.  We have been going there for at least 15 years or more and I have given into to the fact they are not going to change it.  Oh well!

One afternoon my fiance argued over whether or not he's taken me here. It took a 30 minutes but I remembered that he had, for a celebration dinner for me landing a dream job.

I think that's about all that I need to say regarding E&E- for me, there's nothing remotely memorable about this place, good or bad.

E & E has been one of my favorite spots on the Bluff in the past. Revisited with the family on Wednesday and was not even remotely impressed with my meal; Chicken Margherita. For a side I had whipped sweet potatoes which were nothing special and some broccoli.

I must admit that I am somewhat finicky about chicken and would not order a chicken dish from E & E again. I suppose I have always ordered seafood items previously.

Two at our table ordered the special salmon with sun-dried tomatoes, basil and a beuree blanc sauce. It looked good and they seemed to enjoy it. A fourth had the Chicken Caesar Salad which she enjoyed.

We did enjoy a gorgeous day with outside seating and a great server (Liz?). I will return again, but stay away from the chicken.

As Yogi Berra said, "No one goes there anymore.  It's too crowded."  Just kidding.  This is our favorite restaurant.  We've been going to E&E for years and have never had a bad experience.  They are always willing to accommodate their customers.  Our worst experience was having a waiter that seem to be a little busy or preoccupied on one occasion.  Otherwise we'd like everyone to stay away so we will always be able to get a table.

Joined just to post about E&E. My wife had a great Prime Rib and my Pork Chops was the best meal I ever had.   George provided excellent service.

We're local to Clearwater Beach and like to go "onto the mainland" occasionally for a dinner in a different area.  E&E was our destination last eve and we arrived about 7:30 PM.  we were setaed at a nice semicircular booth and "George" was our waiter.  He was attentive and efficient thoughout the meal w/o trying to talk to us like we're old friends.
We started with Steak Tartare appetizer, not everyones favorite but one of ours and it was excellent.  My wife had the grilled seafood sampler platter and I had the pork chops- both were very good.  There was a Ceasar salad with the meal, I thought it was OK , wife loved it!
Couple glasses of wine from a list of decent choices by the glass, service was great, manager stopped by at right time to check on how our experience was...all good!

The only hitch (and this is a personal peeve of mine) they automatically add 15% to the tab for gratuity.  I always attribute this to the many foreign travelers and maybe some seniors, who don't tip for various reasons.  In this case we added to the 15% because George did make it a very pleasurable experience for us!

    Highly recommend this place!

You just can't find a restaurant as consistently outstanding as E & E these days.  I hadn't been there in a couple of years before this weekend.  I had some friends in from out of town and we wanted a nice, yummy dinner.  We ordered the calamari as an appetizer which was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside with a tasty banana pepper beurre blanc sauce which had almost a lemony tang to it.

I ordered off the small plates menu:  surf n' turf (steak tartare of filet mignon, jumbo lump crab with avocado and a classic cream royale and shrimp cocktail), artisan greens salad with almond crusted goat cheese and a blue crab quesadilla with grilled shrimp.  Simply amazing from start to finish.  The three guys I was with all ordered steak or surf and turf which is served with a variety of sides (they all had veggies and sweet potato) and a caesar salad.  They literally wiped their plates clean.

The waitress was outstanding, the atmosphere amazing and the food perfection.  From the herb cheese spread they give you with bread at the beginning of the meal to the Macallan 18 that rounded off my meal, I cannot say one bad word.  Bravo E & E!  You remain at the top of my list of favorites and recommendations.

Ate out for a week on vacation and this was one of the 2 best meals we had.
The atmosphere and decor were very nicely done, and the restaurant appeared upkept and modern/new looking yet very relaxing.
We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the flavor was good but it was ever so slightly undercooked, could have been a little more crispy.  Especially since it was served on a sauce. Overall the flavor was good though!
All meals are served with a fresh and delicious ceasar salad and it was a big hit!
I ordered a ribeye and my husband got the filet tips and both were good.   I wished I had ordered some sort of sauce on the steak because while it was cooked properly it lacked flavor.  With some salt & pepper it was good enough to nearly finish.
The only reason this place didn't get 5 starts is because of the service. Our server, Monya, while attentive - completely lacked personality.  She didn't crack a smile or exhibit any enthusiasm over helping us all night.  At first we took our time ordering and she came to take drink orders and basically ran away once the words came out of our mouth, we had to call her back to order an appetizer.  After the appetizer came out we had to track her down to place our oder. From that point forward she came back to check on us and clear plates, etc, but it was really too bad bad, because everything else was so good.

Love the food here. It's a little expensive, but worth it. I love the tuna sashimi. It is paper thin seared tuna with a wasabi and terriaki sauce and some seeded crackers to top with. I opted to get the breaded porkchops with mashed potatoes and mushroom marsala sauce. So tender and flavorful. I intended to save one of the chops for lunch the next day, but it was so delicious, I just had to finish it.

Food was amazing! However the restaurant was so cold we rushed through our meal to get out of there! Also our waitress was more concerned with the table next to us than with our service. She actually kept looking at their table when we were ordering. I would go back for the food but only if I sat outside.

The star is reluctantly applied for the sake of the food alone as it was good overall. Everything else about this place is a disappointment. The atmosphere is Flintstones meets nursing home cafeteria. The real problem though is the wait staff. Imagine a 20 something girl, hand on hip, smacking gum and tapping her foot impatiently and you will have a sense of things. It took forever to simply get glasses of water. Expensive wine was simply placed on the table, not poured. My friend requested peppercorns on her steak and this was ignored. The food arrived with the server unclear on whom had ordered what. The person bringing the wine said she could not bring water because ours was not really her table and she had seven others to attend. The six of us dropped nearly $400 here and I've experienced better attitudes at most Denny's. Never again.

I have heard about this place a few years ago and finally decided to give it a try.  I would recommend making a reservation since it seems to be a very popular place.  The place can use a makeover it is kind of dated to say the least.  They have a nice menu and the food is good.   We started with the Ahi tuna appetizer which was good but had too much sauce on it.  I guess the next time I would ask for that on the side.  We then had a steak which wasn't bad.   Some entrees are served with a salad and veggies.  The salad was ok and they were very accommodating when I asked for my veggies to be steamed and not served with the butter.  It is reasonably priced too.  Gratuity is included.   Give it a try since there aren't too many good steak houses in the area it isn't bad.   We went in October and it was busy with snow birds so I am going to assume that when the season starts it will be swarming.
This is by no means one of the best steak places I have been too but for the area it is good.

Don't bother going here to celebrate a special occasion. Despite telling the host it was our daughter's birthday (which the host assured us was conveyed to our server), her special day was never acknowledged. I mentioned this to the host as we were leaving and he offered to box a cake to go .. sorry, too late - our daughter was already in the car.  We normally tip 20% for good service, however, this service was not worth the 15% that was automatically added to our check.

Service: very slow, perhaps because the servers know they will automatically receive 15% there is no incentive for great service

Food: all of us ordered the surf and turf medium rare. I cut into my steak and it bled all over the plate. The kitchen obviously does not tent the meat before serving which left me with a pretty tough sirloin. The stuffed lobster was good.

We dined on a Monday night. I can't imagine this place on a weekend!  We live locally and have taken small corporate groups with us, however, we are putting this on the "no dine" list.

This place was recommended by a hairdresser.  You know what they say..telephone, telegraph, tell-a-hairdresser.  So I went in to dine with high expectations as she had raved about it.

Located in a busy strip mall on a busy intersection, there was a challenge to find parking.  They had a small dining patio set up with a few four tops and a couple of pairs.  Although cute, I opted to seat inside because of how busy this shopping mall is.

Well decorated, hip decor with exposed brick and intimate.  Quiet and tranquil dining so the ambiance is quite nice.  Good for an intimate, special meal or perhaps a business meeting.

The food was well prepared. I had the salmon taco and it was cooked to perfection with a nice crispness on the outside, tender on the inside.  The presentation left much to be desired.  It was in a soft flour shell  with a small amount of sauce and some lettuce.  Lots of left over shell.  On the side was an eee itty bitty Caesar salad.  My conclusion is that the food is well cooked but presentation, not so creative.

The service was OK.  The waiter was pleasant enough but appeared to be quite rushed.  I was prepared to leave my tip and as I was writing it in, noticed a HUGE paragraph on the check about an obligatory 15% gratuity already added to my bill.  There was also a HUGE placard on the other side of the check billfold that explained the obligatory gratuity.  There was 2 in our party.  I've never seen anything like this.  I understand gratuities being added into large parties, say in excess of 6 or 8 people but on every check??? Sorry.  Tacky, tacky, tacky.

I went for lunch and had their special.  Would probably go back to try for dinner but wouldn't go out of my way to go back there and probably on a week night as I'm sure you'd need reservations on a weekend as it's not a terribly big place.

And when I do go for dinner, I'm bringing a party of 10!  LOL!

E&E had nice atmosphere as we came inside.  We arrived early and had a drink at the bar, which was small but well stocked and appointed. Drinks were served promptly and of good size. The bartender, Chris, introduced himself and was very courteous.

We moved on to dinner and  had a booth in the middle of the restaurant.  My wife and I shared the crab appetizer, with avocado and it was very good.  The crab was fresh and the dish was well put together, I would have this again in the future.

For dinner my wife had a filet and i had the cowboy steak.  Cesar salads arrived first and were pretty good. , as well as the fresh bread.  The steaks were of good quality, probably commensurate with the pricing value. Mine was cooked well and the cut was good , although there was a bit more sinew and muscle than I was expecting.  My wife's filet was unevenly cooked, regardless she enjoyed it.

Overall, I would come back if we are back in IRB, but I won't go out of my way to get there. Solid restaurant with a good menu.

A stake-out of this place uncovered a gem of a restaurant.

This place is great. It's classy inside and serves wonderful food. They specialize in steaks, but have other terrific options. I had "The Bookmaker." It's filet mignon medallions with mushrooms and a tasty demi glace gravy. See pic.

If you can make it to their early bird dinner, it's an incredible value. Fine dining at a reasonable price, it doesn't get much better than that.

We went there for lunch and we very surprised when we stepped inside. Very tranquil atmosphere. I was very impressed with the lunch menu, while having a couple traditional items like a hamburger they had a few wow items like grouper tacos with avocado. They were very good.

The wait staff was great. Our drinks were never empty. Food was served in a timely manor and food was also boxed up by our waitress.

E & E used to be a decent place where u could enjoy tasty contemporary american, steaks, and a variety of selected "more exotic" dishes including steak tartare, carpaccio...

My last visits turned out to be very disappointing. I had lunch as well as dinner on various occasions. My family leaves near by and umtil recently E @ E was one of the top restaurants in This area. I dont know what happened! Did they got too "popular?"
In any case if the food quality has definitely decreased, their prices did not: Too expensive for only mediocre. Sorry E&E

    This was an interesting experience.

As a party of five, we tried to order a round of drinks (after our hostess didn't  give us any drink menus) and they were out of a couple drinks that we wanted.  If this were the only problem, we would have walked out happy.

My girlfriend had to reorder her entree 3 times because of a problem in the kitchen (86'd items, items of "unservable quality").  At 8:30 p.m. they were out of garlic mashed potatoes.  8:30!  At a steak house!

Most of our table had to adjust our order again, and because sweet potatoes make me feel ill, I was forced to eat my rack of lamb- which was actually ok- with french fries.  Classy, right?

I felt bad for our server during the whole experience as he did his best to overcome the kitchen's errors.  He would have received a nice tip regardless of the mandatory 15-18% tip added to the bill (another slap in the face).

So, the manager, George I think, comes to our table and asks us how our meal was.  I proceeded to explain the problems from the low end (my beer being out of stock - it happens, I was just making a list for him) to the high end (my girlfriend ordering 3 times, the kitchen having 86'd crucial items before 9:00).

While our table wasn't looking for a handout, it was clear that we weren't happy with our experience.  So, what did the manager do for us?  He offered to pay for the one (1) beer that I was drinking because he "was a beer drinker himself" and felt bad that they were out of it.

Bottom line - $0.79 beer (their cost) purchased for our table that had a $225 bill.

    Thanks, George.

Best prime rib anywhere, seafood so fresh it will jump out at you, and the best ceasar salad anywhere. This place consistantly churns out damn good food. Desserts to die for, awesome wine list..all at what you would pay at chilis or somewhere like that. They get their meat special from a farm in Montana from what i was reading on the menu.
Ive never had a bad meal and ive eaten here over 100 times in the past 15 years.
Problem is the management and the staff.
A few nights on the evening of Oct 17th i was there with some friends and we ate outside. Our waitress was great, she was from Russia. However the waitress taking care of the table next to us was so loud, telling stories and laughing like a hyenia so loud on several occasions that we just all stopped talking and stared at her. When she asked us if there was a problem i said..yes, we cant have a conversation because she was very very loud. After that she got snippey with us.
Other then that, the host can also be rude. Im a regular customer and i didnt have a reseveration, and was told it was a 45 minute wait even though it was half empty. Excuse me i eat here 2x a week for 15 years does THAT account for anything? The manager is rather oblivious.
Like i said go for the food, everything is great...they include a 15% service charge with your dinner like it or not.

We had high expectations given the first impression upon walking in (and by the Yelp reviews), but E&E disappointed on almost every note.

We went early on a Tuesday and were seated right away. The interior is modern and hip, with cozy tall (overhead) round booths. The service was friendly and not overbearing.

We started with the ahi sashimi appetizer and iceberg wedge. The sashimi was well seared, but was drizzled with a wasabi based sauce and another mild chili red sauce. It looked great, but I could have done without the sauces. Ahi tuna is a delicate taste, and was washed out by the oversaucing. The seaweed salad and ginger on the side were a nice and proper touch.

The iceberg wedge was simply an iceberg lettuce head, quartered, and served with a blue cheese dressing and some grape tomatoes. The dressing was notable, but otherwise the dish was not.

Our dinner specials came with caesar salads (the house salad-- which I found odd). I ordered mine with dressing on the side, and I'm glad I did. What came out was some chopped lettuce (romaine), with a smattering of grated parmesan, and (inexplicably) some multicolored tortilla strips. The dressing in the side cup was unappetizing, looking like oil mixed with mayonnaise.

We should have taken the salads as a bellwether. When the entrees arrived, they were plated well, but many little things added up to a hot (overcooked) mess. The lobster tail was chewy and overcooked. There was some kind of breaded chunk atop the lobster tail reminiscent of a "Rockefeller" treatment, which tasted fine, but I didn't get why it was there. The sweet potato mash had apples mixed in, and was cloying (sweet potatoes don't need another fruit to make them taste good; take a cue from the name, chef!) The crab cake was the best part, with lump crabmeat, but it had the same drizzle as the sashimi app. Most of the spices and flavors they used were just "off." Too much going on on the plate.

The veg on both entrees was a mix of steamed broccoli, julienned carrots in some kind of sweet sauce, and edamame (flavorless and out of place on the plate).

The flounder piccata, while simpler, was also overcooked. It had the piccata sauce, but also some kind of smoky barbeque sauce drizzled alongside it. The corn mashed potatoes had a similar "off" spice/seasoning.

The burger was cooked medium well (correctly) and the fries reminded me of Checkers fries, with an extra crispiness to them (perhaps finished in a convection oven).

The shift manager walked by once during the early part of the meal to ask how everything was. He barely broke his stride to actually wait for our reply, so at that time we did not have a composed answer.

A few minutes later, we did let the server know about the overcooked dishes, and he offered one free dessert. We opted for the bread pudding, which was on the special menu. It was fine, but served in an overly sweet caramel sauce.

To top it off, there is a compulsory 15% gratuity "for your convenience" (that was actually printed on the check). They've probably been stiffed by Canadian snowbirds who don't customarily tip, but restaurants that don't respect their patrons enough to tip properly leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Couple that with the *ACTUAL* bad taste in my mouth from the many mistakes that were made on the plate, and the high prices, and you understand the two star rating.

Great food with ever changing and website published lunch and dinner menus.
The wait staff is awesome - honest input on the best specials.

If you are in the area you should eat there - I would rate it a little ahead of the Salt Rock - though viewing the inter-coastal from SR is nice.

    Try the specials.

You wouldn't expect to find a place like this in Belleair Bluffs.  Just saying Belleair is a bit antiquated. E and E is very modern and chic with lighting and color scheme similar to TAO in Vegas but seating is more intimate with booths and tables.  It's a good date place. The service is impeccable. The one thing is if you go hungry expect to be ravenous by the time your dinner finally comes.  The waiter took a long time between when he brought the menus, then drink orders drinks, apps, and then dinner.  It took 1.5 hours before we even ordered food but this is consistent and from what I was told by a regular this is how they want their customers to enjoy the dining experience. I will take it any day over being rushed. The salmon was excellent crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, Ahi tuna salad and ceaser salad were great too.  My friends said the steak was to die for.  Portion sizes were perfect.  Must order coffee w/dessert...most delicious cup I have ever had from restaurant!

This is a hidden gem in the middle of a strip mall. I have gone here while visiting from Chicago 1-2 times a trip for the last 6 years. The Chipotle Aioli paired up with a filet is phenomenal! Everything about this place is great, you won't be disappointed. Get a reservation just in case and enjoy the delicious margaritas before and after dinner. Again you will not be disappointed.

We've gone here every other year while on vacation for the past 6+ years. E & E always deliver a solid steak along with decent sides like garlic mashed potatoes. We recommend if you're going to a steak place - eat steak, but E & E also has really excellent sea food as well.

Drinks are also really good - they'll make a manhatten along with different martinis. Desserts are also solid - so you'll be set for something sweet if you need it.

Also if you like E & E - check out Guppy's - it's owned by the same people (another excellent place for the Indian Rocks / Largo area). Parties at E & E can't be that large - you're going to top out at around 8-10 people - but they do have one long table and two large round tables for parties over 10.
