Foley's Bar & Grill

Congratulations to me....I drunkenly purchased Bulls tickets because of Foley's.  Way to go bar, way to go.  You see though, that's how I know I had a good night.  Doing something stupid and not even regretting it.  

It's a dive.  There are clearly regulars (shoot, I came because my friend is one, or was one.)  The bar is small and there are TVs.  3 beers on tap, drinks are cheap and it's cash only.  What else do you need to know?

You'll have a tough time getting me to rag on a dive bar, unless it smells, but Foley's does not smell.

One of my new favorite dive bars!  I bowl on a league at the bowling alley next door so we stopped in after one night to check it out.  A very small bar made up of regulars, but cozy and welcoming with a jukebox playing good music all evening.  There was even a free food buffet on the Sunday we came in.  The manager is a great guy who right away introduced himself and bought us a round of shots while we chatted about the game.  The one downside is it is cash only but there is an ATM inside.  If you are looking for a cozy, nofrills bar with great people and cheap drinks, definitely check this place out!

Foleys is a great place to drink on Thursdays.  We watch Wipeout.  Drink here with the regulars and enjoy it.  They really are friendly if you say hi.  Also, bring your own food if you need to eat.  It is definitely a Cheers kinda place.  There really isn't anything fancy here, but it gets the job done.  See you there!
