This has to be the worst hooters I have been to. We ordered wings which were overly breaded and extremely salty. It was so bad that we could not eat them. The location is in a really weird place as well and just not totally my style. The drinks we ordered were expensive and poorly made. I guess I am spoiled from the Daytona Beach location but I will not go back here.

haven't been here in years and now i remember why. Walking in I thought I as walking into a sauna. The waitress we had was very friendly and nice but can't say the same for the others we saw. They walked around and treated each other with with bitterness and animosity rolling their eyes as they passed each other. Got the all you can eat wings and the refills came out at a crawls pace. I guess our waitress was new only thing i can think of but she kept forgetting the order and came back repeatedly cause she had forgotten the order. The shopping center it's located looks like a run down ghost town as well. Waste of money and the food wasn't good either.  Oh the cheesecake we got i think was expired as well.

    Live review folks.

Sitting here and as I sit here, the staff is busy loading dirty dishes and glasses next to me.  The counter has not been wiped or sterilized since I arrived here.

The manager's job, even though the rest of the staff is hopping, is apparently to sit at the corner table near the door, gossip and look at pictures, and has been for a solid hour.  I have not seen him lift a finger or wander the floor once to ask a customer how they are doing.  Occasionally he will fling a ticket or lift a basket.  That's about it.

Gotta give the cook staff some credit, it appeared to me that they are working their tails off.  Sorry for them, hope they get a portion of the tips.

Why do I come here?  The Daytona beach wings are killer.

Wow, he is still sitting there and the dirty glasses and dishes keep coming.

    ...and there you go.

Update:  When i left, the manager was still planted at the table near the door.  Ordered my food to go, the bartender opened the boxes and showed it to me, all appeared to be ok, then when i got home to eat it, of course the order was goofed up.  Dressings were not the right flavor, the celery was pretty much all the leafy end of the stalk, etc...

Oh well, at least I got my wings fix.

Stopped by on Saturday afternoon to watch the Capitals play and to enjoy wings n beer. Ordered 20 wings for $16 or so. 4 different flavors: Parmesan Garlic, Cajun, Chesapeake Rub and 3 Mile Island. Five each. Sauces so flavorful - I felt bad dipping them wings in bleu cheese!!!
Kuddos to our server Julia! She kept them beers coming, and us smiling!

    P.S. Go CAPS!!!!
    P.P.S. Thanx Julia!!!!!

Stay away. This place will not wait on people who don't drink beer. We ordered waters and tried to order food, but the waitress could only handle one thing at a time.  She ran off to get us the water and returned 10 minutes later.  Unfortunately, she left again and did not return for another 10 minutes to take our order.  The waitresses are rude and the food is terrible.

I used to come here often when I lived just a few miles down the road. My how things have changed. The girls here were never particularly attractive on the whole and that hasn't changed much, but the overall atmosphere has gotten even worse. When I came to this location a couple of weeks ago, it looked like I was at a truck stop. But what really ruined my experience was the only reason I come here - the food:

Wings - Still raw inside, to the point that when you bite into the wing, a rush of water precedes the drips of blood that flow out. The breading also fell apart because it never had a chance to stick to the frozen wing

Onion rings - Much like the wings, not cooked long enough. Breading immediately separated from the onion and never had a chance.

It really was a sad day for my relationship with Hooters wings. I'm breaking up with you, Fairfax Hooters. If you need me, I'm with Chantilly.

2 Stars is still pushing it in my opinion but my friend loved the spicy wings, which I didn't mind but did not paritcularly enjoy too much since I am not a big fan of wings.

Honey Chipotle Wings were too sweet and partially cold and partially warm. Spicy wings were much better.

The Chicken and cheese quesedilla had chicken in half the pieces it came with. Guacamole was missing so they gave us a side order, you could tell it was super old since the avocado was dark green.

The entire place was just stuffy and hot.

Overall, WING STOP is the place to go for wings, not hooters.

I really like Hooters and am crazy for their garlic parmesan breaded wings and loaded tots. However, when I came to this location, everything was just disappointing. First off? The loaded tater tots were not all that. There was nothing to die for about these and that's how I used to feel about them (well, at least in Chantilly). The wings were fine for me but my cousins weren't impressed with their wings. The service was okay - our server was nice and checked on us but once in awhile she'd forget things. And it was really weird to look over at another table and see another Hooters server just sitting and talking to a guy. I mean, I guess flirting gets you more tips but if I was waiting on my server, I'd be pretty mad that she was just sitting there for a long time chatting away.

I want to say it's just this location that's mediocre as I always have a good experience at the Chantilly Hooters.

The spicy garlic/cajun naked wings are best finished off the grill, the tots are always good. Avoid the parmesan garlic flavor at all costs. Service is mostly warm and friendly.

They used to offer 1/2 price appetizers late nite, then minimized the 1/2 price selection, now removed it altogether. A bit disappointing as this was our favorite place to go to, especially after 10pm.

Sad, but it's really not worth visiting anymore...

Poor service. Really disappointing. 10 min for 1st beer, had to flag down someone for a fork and knife, had to ask for the second beer after leaving the empty glass  On the table for 5 min  someone took the empty glass but not the plates Fail fail

The service here was pretty terrible. There were certainly some pretty servers, but they seemed to be all over the place and pretty terrible at their job - unless their job is just showing the busts and behinds.

We stopped on the 4th of July before the fireworks and they were pretty full but not packed. There were tables available, but the waitress by the door kept turning families of people away and was really rude to a family that was sitting near us. They had to call a manager over to get their order. They asked how long orders were taking and she just said that it would get there when it gets there and she was not going to ask the cooks because that's all they would say. They snagged another waitress, and she gave them an estimate. It was just really rude and tacky. However, groups of men did not seem to be a problem. She must not have been getting good tips from families or something.

Our waitress came to our table about two times on her own. Once to take our order about 15 minutes after we arrived and again to drop off our beers, which is all we ordered. We then never saw her again. We had to walk around the restaurant to find her to get our bill.

You can tell that this resturant is an older one.  The only real light you get is from the sun coming in from the windows so if you sit closes to the front it seems really gloomy.

Service was lacking, about 10 minutes to get our drinks which was two waters and a soda.  We ordered buffalo shirmp, a burger and curly fries which took about 45 minutes to get.  When we did recieve the meal the Shrimp was very luke warm when they came out so naturally they were cold by the time we finished them.  The burger did come out fresh and hot with the fries which means to me that the shirmp were sitting out waiting for the burger before delivery which i'm sure most know burgers take longer than shrimp to cook so the shrimp should have been put in after the burger.  Refills were difficult to get seeing how our waitress never really followed up with us once we received our food.

I think i'm going to take Mere's suggestions and visit the Chantilly Hooters.  If you're ever south Norfolk, VA also has a really good Hooters, service has never disappointed and i've been there about 4 times,  its more open and brighter as well.

Great place. Kinda smells funny. Babes present. Get the breaded wings always. The naked ones are eh. Definitely a nice place to go with the bros.

There is a lot of room for improvement for this place.  I usually come here to watch the UFC events here.  Which they are very good for smoke free and the food is good always pretty good.  Love the wings here and fried pickles but they really really need to work on the wait staff.  I been to a few hooters in the surrounding area and the waitress here are very stuck up.  The wait staff is always too cool for school.  Once in a blue moon I'll get a waitress that is nice.  They usually get an average tip from my crew.  Some of the staff just don't get it.  Oh well.

I used to come here all the time, however I began going to the Chantilly Hooters. Bf and I decided to go back since it was closer to where we were going that evening.

Service was lousy, waitresses completely ignored us. I dont care if I'm with my boyfriend and you can't flirt with him to achieve a larger tip, you can still come talk to me too!

    Not impressed.

Have been going to this Hooters since it opened.  It has had its share of ups and downs.  Past 2 years more downs.  New GM Piera has really turned it around.  With the new interior facelift coming soon it will become a 5-star Hooters.

We decided to stop here after a visit to the Patriot Harley Davidson Shop.  The restaurant was pretty empty for a Wednesday.  The daily special was 10 boneless wings and fries for $5.99.

We started with the fried pickles.  They were pretty salty, but still good. As for the wings we tried the Hot, Cajun, Samurai, Spicy Garlic, and Parmean Garlic.   The hot was not too hot, the garlic was not too garlicky and I would say the best tasting out of the selection was the Samurai.   They try to sell cheese dip for the fries.  I would suggest not buying it.  Turns solid after a few minutes.  Not very good.

It has been awhile since I have visited Hooters.  This was a pretty good visit and enjoyed all of the food.  Service was outstanding...

I like Hooters. Its trashy, however, still OK to take kids to. I like Beer and Wings.....however, I must say that it does gross me out when a wing has an occasional feather strand attached.....blah.

Food is very hooters.   I always get the fried pickles.  I do like their new chicken sandwich.  Let's face it - we go there for the beer and the vibe.

This place had it.   It was fun but it was still hooters.

I have been to this Hooters twice.

The first time I came with another girl and we got great service. The waitress was super friendly to us and the food was delicious! Loved the wings! It was a fun time to just hang out and chill.

The second time (more recently) I came with my significant other and another couple and we received awful service (the waitress wasn't friendly, service was very slow and all four orders came out incorrectly).

I'm not sure which review I should go by, but I'd come back to try it again, if even just for their wings.

I am a female so I can be biased and I am not going to comment on the girls that work here, for the simple fact that I havent gone there to get a hooters and gluters G-rated and overrated show, BUT instead to just eat.

Anyone know the country song "girls lie too" by Terri Clark? It came out in 1996.  Well, in it she mentions "we like hooters for their hot wings too"...and maybe 10+ years ago they were good but WHAT THE HELL? They are SO gross! Atleast at this location.. Some of the wings had barely any sauce and they were VERY DRY. I dont even understand how they have Hooters still operating??

Not impressed with the service either.  Our girl took 10-15 minutes to bring me a refill of WATER and NO it was not busy. Not to mention our table was not clean when we sat down.

Hooters is not and never will be the first thing that pops into my head when someone mentions GOOD WINGS. I suggest going elsewhere.

Drive the extra 10 minutes and go to the Chantilly Location!!

Parking isn't bad here, everything else is.

Ladies are either old or NOT of the Hooters quality I always put with the name.

Service...if you are not a mechanic or a party of 5...kiss the service good bye.

Food is all fried, if you mess it up, you fail at life.

TV's SUCK...they are small, or not HD (or not on HD channels if they are HD)

Get new management, get better women, and have a re-opening....I am sure there are a ton of 18-20's year olds looking for a job in Fairfax...Hire them...not their mom's and aunts!

Their wings are fantastic.  Ladies, in this day and age where middle schoolers are having sex, Hooters can probably be considered G-rated.  Men want to come here for their wings.  If they wanted to see hot women in tight tight clothing, there are far better places to go see them.

The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is that their TVs are small, the tables near the entrance give you a HORRIBLE view for their TVs.  And they don't have HD receivers.  They have HD TVs, but no HD channels.....WHACK!

I was with some friends who decided to go, and they ordered some chicken wings and beer and decided to offer up some obnoxious pickup lines to the server in return.

I was embarrassed but  life goes on. I had some of the next plate of chicken wings, and the toilet was my lord, saviour, mother, brother, sister, and father for the next 12 hours. I got one of the worst cases of food poisoning I've ever experienced (and I've eaten at Taco Bell).

Since then I have not returned to this hooters or any others.

Parking is rather annoying since their lot's in the back with angled slots and cramped spacing.  Much like our seating inside; hijacking extra bar stools to cram everyone into one of the long tables by the counter barely worked.  Average wings, served piping hot to hide the mediocrity.  Had them naked since Jeremy said his breaded ones were awful.  TVs smaller than my desktop monitor mounted by the counter and entry corner, sports paraphernalia littering the walls.  I managed to avoid this chain for 24 years and I'm not sure why I let myself get hit by the bullet now.  At least they had Blue Moon on draft; trying fried pickles for the first time and indulging in relatively forgettable onion rings made me rely on good company to stay happy.  Won't be back, the bleach-blonde crack-pale waitress with crappy service sealed the deal.

"Is everything OK sir?  Are the girls taking care of you?"  -- Manager, Hooters of Fairfax

Since none of the girls were sitting on my lap at the time the answer is "No."  But otherwise, everything was indeed OK.

Sometimes all you need is a lite snack.  Or a piece of pie.  And you want to just pop into a place, get what you want and leave with a minimum of fuss.  And it's close to midnight.  Hooters fits the bill.

They have a 5-piece Buffalo wing "Flappetizer" with a side of celery that, for me, is curiously filling.  If you are still hungry you cannot go wrong with their key lime pie.

This would not be a Hooters review without mentioning Hooters girls.  They are pretty at this location, some with nice hooters (and a few with magnificent  "booters" for you derriere lovers).

Nonetheless they can be drowned out by the big-screen TVs and the distraction of the overwhelming oak surroundings - floor, walls, tables, chairs.  The girls start to blend in like like Bootstap Bill in Pirates of the Caribbean:  Part of the ship... part of the crew...

Server, cute but seemed bored out of her mind. Another seemed more attentive & I wish we had got her.

    Wing: Greasy, flavorless, almost undercooked.

Beer: how can you mess up beer. A pitcher was about $9, a bargain.

Try the fried dill pickles! Almost as good as the beer.

I was in the mood for wings & the hubby wanted to watch the game: so off  to hooters, BOOM problem solved!
We couldn't decide on breaded wings or regular so our server suggested both. We also had a blue moon brewski w/ a slice of orange;Yummy!
The cute servers are always sweet & its fun to watch the hubby feel like he's a kid in a candy store;LOL!

Since we're in the category of "wings," might as well address that. Wings are pretty good.

My son and I go there regularly (probably every 3-4 weeks) to watch the UFC fights. (Look for the kid who'll probably be competing in WEC in a few years, along with his embarrassed-to-be-with dad.) Anyhow:

The undiscovered bargain are the crab legs. Very good value, and very tasty.

I used to have the "fish and chips"--again, good value--until they were discontinued. I now have the barbecued ribs--riblets, actually. Still, nice and tasty. The curly fries are good, though sometimes you get more, sometimes you get less. More is better.

Desserts: Key lime pie is fine.

    Beer: Good.

Atmosphere: Much improved as of December 2009, when Virginia banned smoking in restaurants. Used to be, no matter where you were, you were in the direct air flow from people smoking. Much, much, much better. And plenty of TVs scattered around if you're there to watch a sporting event.

Servers (or waitstaff, to be gender-neutral): They vary in attractiveness, but they're all very nice looking. Most seem overstressed and overworked, and never seem quite as friendly or chatty with us as they are with some other tables (but I'm way too old, and my son really isn't into flirting). And their wait skills vary from poor to quite good. But they're mostly college students (I guess George Mason, though maybe some from NOVA), and they pretty much try their best.

Location: Good. Right off of 66, and near the intersection of two other big roads (Lee Highway and 123). Plenty of parking in the shopping center.

It's Hooters, so you know what you're getting. Wings, Beer and Cute Waitresses. That being said, I've had all of these things screwed up at one time or another; over sauced wings, warm beer, and bad waits.

Not so here. The wings were done to perfection, and I always go off the menu for the style I order so it required brain cells in the kitchen. The beer was icy cold, and Sarah our Hooters Girl was cute, fun and most important an awesome waitress that I'd be happy to have wait on me anywhere.

Like everything else in Fairfax, it a chain of mediocrity. Yes--they have good wings.

I went here with my good friend's girlfriend, which interesting so to say. Probably more interesting then the resturant. Our waitress was attractive enough, but did not have big boobs what so ever.

This is the exact opposite of the lesbian bar I just reviewed, but being in there made me feel just as awkward.  I stayed at a nearby hotel a while back while my house was under really loud repairs and I had to study for finals.  I'd had Hooters wings in the past, and figured I'd grab a bucket to go.  This was my first time stepping into a Hooters, and man, it's rough.  I'm not sure whether it's more awkward interacting with the girls that are being horribly fake, or the ones that are acting like they clearly hate their lives, but neither option is a particularly pleasant experience.  Watching the dozens of middle-aged men enjoying their fake conversations is also depressing.

As a side note, I took a class at NOVA with a girl that worked here, and she told me that the taps are literally moldy.  I believe her, and would probably order bottles if I somehow got stuck here.

The wings are good, though, and cheap - somewhere between 50 and 75 cents a piece if you buy a bunch of them.  Just call ahead so you don't have to spend a horrible 10 minutes waiting for your food.

This Hooters is the definition of mediocrity. The food is consistent with the rest of the chain (I've been to at least three other Hooters) and I am personally a fan of their breaded-style wings (911 sauce all day long, baby). Many people hate these for some reason, maybe because they're uppity hot wing purists or something. F that noise.

The women here are completely inconsistent. Some days you will see blindingly gorgeous women who definitely don't belong working as a Hooters waitress. Other times, it can be a bunch of butterfaces.

The service here typically sucks. The turnover rate seems to be ridiculously high at this location, since there are new faces every single time I visit. This means stupid women messing up every order and taking extremely long times to bring checks.

Now that I've gone over practically everything that sucks here, I will tell you what is good. On Wednesdays, you can get a boneless wings + fries platter for $5 (I think. It might be $6. Either way, cheap). On Thursdays, (all day) you can order "Big Daddy" Miller Lites and Bud Lites for $2.50. They are BEAST and it is probably the best drink special in the Fairfax area.  Also, if you get too pissed off about the service, talk to the manager. Every time I've spoken with the manager, he has been really nice to me and hooked it up.

Also, the Lots-A-Tots are totally killer. Literally. Try them.

I wanted to like Hooter's wings... really I did!  I feel so bad for the college girls who work there with their shorts stuck up their asses... *sigh*  But alas, I did not enjoy my meal.  I came here for dinner this evening.  I had the 3 mile island boneless wings and my friend had good old hot wings (bone in).  They boneless wings were over cooked and as they cooled, the sauce coagulated and took on a disgusting texture.  The hot wings were meh... The sauce lacked any heat and weren't that great.  The beer was good though!  For dessert I had the chocolate mousse cake, which was good and def satisfied my extreme chocolate craving!  Overall, Hooters doesn't have awesome wings... But if you like your girls young and struggling for cash (with wedges until next Sunday), then Hooters is the place for you!

I've been here many times and no I don't go there to drool over the girls.  The wings and burgers are great, the wednesday special is a great idea.  I've never had a problem in this place, I usually go with people from work or with a friend.  We pretty much want to watch whatever game is going on but someone attractive serving you isn't something to complain about.  Most of my female friends change their attitude once the come and see that there is nothing going on here.  Others are just confident women who don't mind coming.

They have beer specials and the food is descent.  Anyway, the place has been there forever like mentioned in an earlier post and with new flat screen TVs...it feels like home.

A friend of mine won a free wing party here at this Hooters, so we came here one evening to chow down on chicken apendages. Service was attentive, our beer was always full and new batches of wings came out pretty quickly.

Though this might be Hooters across the board, their hot sauce isn't very hot. Pretty weak. However, the Daytona wings were pretty acceptable. There are plenty of other places to get better, bigger and tastier wings but hey, these were free.

This Hooters is located right on Route 50 and is pretty easy to get to, though traffic can be a little crummy...as all Rt. 50 can be.

Great for wings and burgers but the rest of their food is average.  My favorite wings are the medium naked wings, and the Malibu wings which are finished on the grill and delicious.

I am one of the people who comes for the wings, and not for the girls.  Like Matt S, I don't care about your stories and I don't want you to continually pour my beer for me.  Let my boys and I enjoy whatever game we are watching....

I have been to this location many, many times and it is the best Hooters in the area by far.  It has also been there FOREVER (since I was a really little kid), and that is a good thing....

Good for wings. Being a female, with a history in gender studies- this place can be so degrading. I mean, it's hooters- kinda tacky, but I think you'd have to figure that if you're going to subject yourself to this place. You've got college aged guys watching a game and flirting with girls, middle aged men watching a game and trying to flirt with girls, and men that really should not be there, watching a game and desperately attempting to show they've "still got it".

That aside, the drinks here were bad- stick with beer. We ended up getting a 50 piece- a whole variety of them, breaded. They were all pretty good. All their appetizers are average- they taste just like you think they would.

I wouldn't make this place a regular- but good wings.

Good wings.  Their breaded medium-style wings are tasty with the right amount of breading.  Wings are kinda small and the amount of oil that is dripping down your hand is kinda disturbing.  Good to find a reliably good place for wings.  Will have to come back to try it naked and/or with whatever other styles they have :-p
