Jimmy's Pizza Café

This place has great pizza, I'd probably order from here every week but for some reason they don't want to let customers pay with debit or credit like the rest of the planet.  So for that I don't order from them that often and dock them a star for it.  Get with the program fellas.

Like Chicago deep dish or bar style pizza?  Don't go here.  

Like New York pizza?  This is the place.

Best NY Style we have found in Chicago.  The crust is what you would expect--soft and foldable but a little sweet.  Had half pepperoni and half sausage with mushrooms.  Toppings were not skimpy.  Really liked the pepperoni and mushrooms.  The sausage needed more zip.  Sauce was good.  Overall a good NY pizza.  Best we have found in the Chicago area.  

The location is on the corner of Lincoln and Fullerton.  Parking is off Fullerton while the address is on Lincoln.  Be advised that they do not take credit cards.  (I tried to give them my Blue Cross/Blue Shield card, but they didn't see the humor).

Jimmy's is without a doubt the best New York style pizza in the city. Stop in and have them heat you up a slice and order a side of the aforementioned beignets while you're at it.  Perfect for delivery too, just give your slice a quick trip in the toaster oven.  Save the beignets for breakfast.  A quick 15-20 second microwave makes them almost as good as new.
