What a find! Great little local bar/restaurant. Â Ate there for the first time on March 16th. The food was AMAZING! Â Fresh and homemade. I highly recommend it. Â The only downfall was our server. Â Her name was Rani and she was not attentive and hard to understand (she speaks softly). Â We had to ask one of the other servers for assistance. Â But it was definitely worth it because of the food and price!
Review Source:Excellent divey little place, across from the train tracks (expect some noise if you're on the deck.) Â They're known for their pizza, but the burgers are darn good too, huge and juicy. Â Beer prices are good -- they serve it in the can, which makes it feel even more like a hangout with your buds. Â Karaoke night gets pretty rowdy!
Review Source:These guys are my neighbors, and I'm all about small business, so I had to give them a try. The flier that arrived in my mailbox that they delivered was fate and sealed the deal. I ordered a small cheese pizza and bread sticks, and holy amazing goodness. I'm usually a NY style girl, but damn, their sauce is the perfect combo of sweet and spicy. Â Their homemade breadsticks could be a meal alone. Don't bitch about the 2.00 delivery fee....it's not Pizza Hut, it's so much better. I look forward to the burgers!
Review Source:Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp! Â The 5 Families Burger belongs on The Food Network. Â 2 hand breaded mozz sticks, under a 1/2 lb ground beef patty, with a hand battered onion ring on top with a zesty special sauce and all the traditional rabbit food fixings. Â I am a big eater and the last 2 bites to finish it almost took me down for the count. Â This concoction brought on a Thanksgiving Day style slumber in the recliner when I got home. Â You can bring this over for a late night foody call any time!
A cool note about this place...all of their non-draught beer is served from the can. Â They keep all of the cans and pull tabs and donate them to charity. Â This place goes out of their way to recycle and then does double duty on the "doing good for the neighborhood" meter by giving away the money generated from the aluminum. Â That alone should make you want to be a guest of this establishment.
The drink prices are insanely cheap regardless of happy hour or daily drink specials. Â They offer plenty of TVs for sports, karaoke twice a week, and a good variety of live entertainment. Â Look for this place to catch on and be a hot spot to hang out in Lenexa.
Good food and a great value!
We stopped in for dinner tonight. It was everything a neighborhood bar should be -clean and comfortable with good food. The dining room has a couch (for listening to music I'm guessing) and tables that look like they came from our first house! The bar was full when we walked in and everyone was busy talking and enjoying themselves!! The staff was very friendly. Because it's a bar with good food, the menu is short and sweet. The mainstays are pizzas and burgers with some salads and appetizers thrown in. If you are good with those choices, you will not be disappointed.
I had an excellent hamburger and well seasoned fries. Hubby had the meatball sandwich with onion rings. The food was very fresh and we had absolutely no complaints. If you are looking for good food in a simple neighborhood bar, this could be your new favorite spot! I would love to come back and check out the live music on weekends. The prices seemed very reasonable. We didn't realize their niche was their huge selection of canned beers, so we will have to make a return visit to check that out.
Used a valpak coupon for the carryout special. Â I was on my way home from a ballgame and called. Â Unfortunately, they made me go home for my paper coupon. Â That took the first star away. Â Got home eventually with two pizzas and two small soft drinks for about $15 bucks. Â Not too shabby. Â Well, the pizza looked great, nice and bubbly but the under crust was so underdone! There goes the next star. Â I might try this place again but will order pizza extra done in case this is their regular deal.
Review Source:Kan'z City Pizza and Burgers seriously has it all. Everyone who works there is very nice and attentive, and the food is literally AMAZING!! I've been a few times and have tried something new everytime and you can really tell everything is homemade and freshly cooked- I've never not finished my entire meal! Mix that with the live bands and cozy atmosphere and I'm definately coming back with all my friends.
