Yay for a new place to eat in Springfield that's not fast food! I liked the set up of this Ledo's. You walk in and seat your self. There are tables near the TVs in the front and their bar is in the back. I'm surprised how many people they seem to be able to fit for a small space.
Had the Rockstar pizza which was delicious. Service was great too. Our waiter was attentive. No complaints from me, I'll be back :)
I looove Ledo pizza! Â I have been to several locations and was so excited to have one open in the neighborhood. Â My favorites are plain chese and the taco pizza. You must try a salad with Ledo dressing, but beware, it will become a new craving! Â After this location has been opened for several months, they seemed to have worked out the kinks and have the timing and the service down pat. This is a good place to take kids and sports fans. Â They have all the tvs on and show football on sundays.
Review Source:Mind you, I love Ledo Pizza. Â I cannot think of one that I've been to and didn't like. Â However, I can still say that I think this is one of the best. Â Mind you, it is owned by the same franchisee that runs my favorite on River Road in Bethesda, but this one may be even better.
We were here once and the first thing I noticed was that it had a very pleasant setup. It wasn't too dark and I didn't feel we were all over other people. Â The booths give it a more private feel. Â
Our server was super conscientious server when she took the order. Triple checking to make sure she had everything correct. My only complaint with the service was that my wife's water came after the appetizer. Â Otherwise, everything was great.
The food is exactly what I would expect from a Ledo. Â So I definitely want to go back.
I like the new Ledo Pizza at Cardinal Forest Plaza. Another option for a casual meal that is not fast food. Here on our second visit, I ordered the Spaghetti with Ledo  Meat Sauce  and a side Caesar Salad. The salad was very nice and was brought out before the main course as I had asked. (Too many restaurants these days bring the side salad with the meal.) The spaghetti was good, too, with that tasty Ledo meat sauce. (There could have been a bit more sauce served as there has been at the Winchester location.) There was enough spaghetti for me to take some home in a  box for a lunch.
On an earlier visit, I had an 8 inch pizza with pepperoni, black olives, and green peppers. I like the very thin crispy crust style at Ledo.
The servers are new, but they friendly and accommodating.
We've been waiting a while to find a nice, comfortable place to sit down for pizza. Normally when I want pizza, we settle for delivery....or DiGiorno.
We ordered the barbecue chicken and the sausage apple - both were good. I think they could use a higher quality sausage and remove the peels from the apples. The BBQ sauce was delicious. Â I love the crackery crust - it makes the pizza. The other thing I noticed was that they sort of put way too much bacon on both pizzas. Some might praise that, but I thought it was a bit much.
We got to sit in the round corner booth in the bar, which was great because we wanted to watch the Olympics on the big screens they have. The seats were comfortable and stylish - leopard print!!
I will definitely be back for more pizza.
We ordered take-out. Â
The cheese and pepperoni pizza was fine, for a thin crust pizza.  Personally, I am not a fan of mushrooms; however, since members of the family like them, we ordered half  with fungi.  Unfortunately, they use canned mushrooms.  There is apparently some sort of a difference between canned and whatever else it is they nomally experience.  Needless to say, very little of the mushroom side of the pie was touched.
We stopped by for dinner on a busy Friday night, and while the place was packed, we got seated outside with a short wait. Â Our friends recommended that we tried the wings and we did buffalo style! and they were crispy on the outside and tender inside. Â The house dressing for side salds we had was delicious. Shared Dixie specialty pizza with bacon, and it was loaded with more than generous amounts of crispy bacon. Â For a pizza joint, they had wide selection of desserts as well. Service was great, the wait staff were youthful and polite. Overall, this place offers great food at value pricing! We will definite go back to try other items on the menu!
Review Source:This location just opened so I figured I'd try it since I live nearby. Very disappointing. Â First, they got my order wrong, so after waiting 20 minutes for the food to come out, had to send it back. Â The replacement came out - it was wrong, had to send it back. Â The third try was 75% correct (who knew toppings were so tricky) so rather than push into hour 2 of waiting for pizza with hungry kids, I just took it hoping it was at least tolerable. Â It wasn't.
The pizza basically is like a frozen pizza heated in the microwave smothered with toppings to try and fluff it up. Â Very nasty, I didn't even finish one piece. Â My kids, who eat any pizza on the planet, didn't even like it so had to run home to make them PBJ. Â I will say the staff is very friendly and they seem to really try - not sure if the kitchen is just learning or totally incompetent. Â The manager offered my a coupon for a free pizza, I declined and just took a refund as I won't be going back.
I think they've been open a little over a month now and the service and getting food out correctly and within a reasonable time is getting better, still a ways to go, but they are definitely improving rapidly. Our second visit which was the first Friday they were open we got 50% off the tab due to the long wait. We didn't even have to ask, after we were closing in on an hour from our order being placed the manager came by and explained the kitchen had gotten overwhelmed and told us something would be taken off the bill. (I think the kitchen, if they'd have gotten orders correct in the first place wouldn't have been overwhelmed with making orders for the same customers two or three times, but that was then.)
I'm not a fan of this style of pizza, but the other menu items are really good. I've already eaten here about five times (it's nearby) and the salads, which I usually order, are always fresh and tasty. I am a big fan of the ciabatta combos -- the chicken parm ciabbatta sandwich with a side ceasar salad is likely going to be my go to. The meal-size salads come with delicious garlic toast triangles. The dessert menu looks really yummy, but we haven't ordered any sweets yet.
The wait staff, as has been mentioned, is quite young and need to find the delicate balance between over-friendliness and just-right attentive service. I am sure it will come. Food comes out semi-correct more often than not still but they are quick to make things right.
The place is usually busy and has a nice buzz already. Hopefully they'll quickly hit their stride.
Ok so I put four stars because I see potential here. The menu is great, the food is great, the bar is great. The ability to take-out is great and I love the desserts. But they've just opened and it's clear they're having a tough time working out all the kinks. They have a very young staff and they are so busy (Springfield's great about supporting local businesses and franchises), that it's easy for orders to get messed up and servers to forget something. Our server tonight had 2 tables outside and 4 inside. As a former server, that is just unfair. And we all suffered for it.
Details unecessary but the manager invited us back for a free 18" pizza, which we appreciated. It was nice that he acknowledged their weak spots and said they're working on it. So be patient and give them a few more weeks to get used to the demand because I really think it'll be worth it.
Let me preface by saying I never knew such a thing as "bad pizza" could exist. That is, until I had Ledo. The one positive I will say is the bar. Very nice bartender. She was attentive and friendly. The pizza was by far the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. It was so sparse that you could actually see the dough under the sauce. The pizza was also lukewarm. There was virtually no cheese. My family and I will never be back.
