We we were on the hunt for a good place for brunch and my good ole' Yelp App pointed me to this place. It is not exactly a cutesy brunch place, but it is a vary cozy place next to a tavern.

If you get the eggs benedicts, the Truffle oil on their version of the Eggs Benedicts!  alone makes this place worthwhile! It was heavenly! Between the truffle oil on the eggs and the prosciutto that came with it...my brunch experience was complete.

Who knew that such a non-trendy looking place had such gourmet options on their menu? Next time I cam back in my hood...I will definitely be back for brunch at this place.

Torn between 3 and 4 stars.  I really enjoyed my brunch (hearty, well prepared, generous portions), and my server was very friendly and attentive.  The space itself is a bit odd, however.  I think you just sort of need to understand what you are getting into or you might be a tad disappointed.  From the marketing (naming, signage, etc.) it seems like a quaint little breakfast restaurant.  Not so much.  It is actually just the side room of the Irish pub next door that they dedicate to serving brunch on Sundays.  That is fine and all.....actually a winning idea, I think......I'm just confused as to why they don't market it in a way that is more consistent with what you are actually going to experience.  It is a dark, Irish pub setting.  Not a froo-froo brunch locale.  When I walked in, for instance, there was no greeter, no staff, no one.  I had to walk over into the pub area to inquire about where I should go if I wanted brunch.  If they want to brand it as a breakfast experience, not just going to the pub for brunch, they should at least have staff there to greet people.  Once I got someone's attention, however, she checked back with me often and was very friendly.

The food was A-OK.  Really pretty good.  I had the Greek skillet.....scrambled eggs, red potatoes, peppers, onions, and feta.  Consistent with the pub-feel (not the "Lexi-Lu" branding), it was a very hearty dish.  Nothing delicate about it.  Huge chunks of grilled potatoes, big slabs of pepper, ......served in a skillet-shaped dish.  I enjoyed it, though I though I thought it was pretty light on the feta.....only a few sprinkles under the eggs.  The bread / toast (with Kerrygold butter!) was high-quality, very tasty.  Coffee two thumbs up.

It wasn't at all what I was expecting from driving past seeing the signage outside.  I was expecting a cute little girly cafe........ but that said, for what it actually *IS*  (a pub), it was a solid brunch.  I would imagine it's a great place for a bloody mary and eggs after spending the night before next door in the pub.  :)

We have been passed Lexi Lu many times and always said we would stop.  Well, this passed weekend we did and it was so worth it!

My husband, who is a huge fan of omelettes was NOT disappolinted!  The omelette was big and fluffy and loaded with good stuff!  He was really impressed with the side order of potatoes that came with the omelette.  They were quartered potatoes with green peppers and onions.  Not your ordinary hash browns every other restaurant in town serves!

I had the steel cut oatmeal with cinnamon apples.  It was satisfying and delish!  The coffee was very tasty and the service was awesome!

We will be back again and again!

I live in the area and have passed Lexi Lu several times, always wanting to try it. Today...Father's Day, we decide to go for brunch with my 2 year old son. Cute little place attached to the Curraugh in Edison Park. It was a little dark but we didn't mind...nice to have some dim lights while we enjoyed a fantastic Bloody Mary! Just the right amount of spices and pickle! Yum! We ordered the breakfast burrito, an omlette and a side of ham for my son. The food was all very good and the ham was fantastic. Super lean and a generous serving. Not greasy at all like some reviews I have read. The service was good but not great. The reason I say this is it take a while to have someone to get to the table to take our order in the beginning. After that, the service was great. They were timely and attentive. The food came out quickly and they also accommodating with regard to my son. I will definitely go back to Lexi Lu for breakfast/lunch!

My fiance and I decided to try Lexi Lu the Sunday before Memorial day. Was timid about it because of reviews that the food is greasy but it's breakfast, it can't be that bad!

We decided to eat inside b/c it's a blazing hot day. Felt cool but we quickly adjusted. I don't think they had the air on b/c the air was pretty still. For a breakfast place, it's very dark, dark paint and low lighting.  There was only one other table occupied, a warning perhaps - perhaps everyone in Edison Park left town for the holiday weekend OR perhaps it was b/c we didn't arrive until noon.  I dunno - BaBaReba would have been jammed regardless but we didn't want to drive into the city.

3 people asked if we wanted coffee, waitress was prompt to appear, nice and quick to refill our water glasses.

Another couple walked in after us, making 3 tables. Their food arrived first despite our order being placed before theirs. Kinda odd but whatever - our food did take a LONG time arriving.

Ok, onto the food, I had the pesto scramble made with egg whites. Came with glistening potatoes with red, yellow and orange peppers and red onion. Not sure what the seasoning on them was, it didn't have any flavor. You'd think with all that oil on them, they'd be nice and crispy! Nope, more soft than crispy so WHY so much oil?? Maybe microwaved.... The pesto scramble was oil laden as well - they used real pesto to make it. I guess I expected less oil than a pesto pasta dish but the flavor was nice. Decent amount of cheese but it added to the greasiness of the whole plate. Fiance tipped my plate and put one of those cream containers under the side so the oil could drain to one side.

Fiance has the burrito with chorizo added (for an extra $.75 or so). The tomato salsa was served warm and was more like tomato puree. He said there was some cilantro in it but it was dried not fresh. The bite I had was fine - not much flavor contrasts but the avocado was nice. His potatoes were just the same as mine, glistening with oil and soft not crunchy.

We ended up taking more than half home (it's too hot to eat such heavy oily food!) but I'm flying to Denver tomorrow on business so I won't be eatin' my leftovers!

Came home and ate an orange to cut the oily greasiness in my system.

Breakfast is so easy and there are plenty of other places to get a better one! It's likely we won't be back and that's too bad b/c it's walking distance away.

Maybe we'll try the hash next time if we do go, other reviewers seem to like it! Oh, and please turn some music on for background noise!

The food here was great, the service was so-so. We sat on the patio and no one came to wait on us so we actually had to ask for a server.  I ordered a breakfast burrito, which was delicious. My friend had some kind of egg dish with pesto and she said her food was good too.  Our waitress (once we finally got one) was okay. It took her a while to refill our coffee and to get us our check.  I'd definitely come back here for the food but I'd hope the service improves.

A damn good bloody mary.  Tangy and spicy and just a little sweet.  These folks know what you need on a Sunday morning.

The hash is absolutely not to be missed.  I mean it.  Don't miss it.  I was scooping up every last morsel with the side of my fork.  I would have picked the whole plate up and scraped the last little bits directly into my mouth.

I topped if off with some Nutella crepes, because that's how I roll.  I nearly regretted it as I hobbled back to my car like Santa Claus the day after Christmas, but then i remembered how frickin delishis it was.

This was a cute place. I do agree with some of the other Yelpers like Jennifer B. and Keith E: the selection wasn't huge, but what we ordered was really good. The Nutella french toast is a must but the portion is HUGE -enough to feed 2-3 people as a "dessert" after your breakfast! The coffee was really good too! Dark and rich and was promptly filled. I also agree that the signage outside could be better. We were a little confused whether or not Lexi Lu had it's own door of if you have to enter through the bar (you do enter through the bar, and it's called The Curragh). We went at around 10am on a Sunday and it wasn't overly crowded. There was no wait and we got a booth quickly. I like the area a lot and would def be back!

Not a huge selection, but what they do have is fresh and delicious. The steel cut oatmeal with apples was probably the best oatmeal I've ever had at a restaurant. My friend's eggs were perfectly cooked and the chicken sausage stuffed with apples and Gouda was amazing! Good coffee too. The service was great. There was absolutely no wait on a Saturday morning.

We thought the place was closed. We walked around the inside until a girl came out of the back room in the. Curragh.
Kind of confusing is it Lexi Lu's, Is it the Curragh's?

The young girl who just said "Sit anywhere" came back and took our coffee order.
When I ordered my Eggs & Ham of he bone, my wife asked if i could have the food cooked with oil because I am Lactose intolerant. The young girl came back and said everything had butter. When asked further she said the hash browns were mixed prior and could not be made Butter free. My wife had to problem solve the potato part and ask if I could get fries as the waitress did not have much to offer. My wife liked her pancake order, which came with lots of toppings and tasted good. I'd eat there if I was in the area but may not make a special trip out again.

The food at the Curraugh and Lexi Lui is always of high quality. It takes a bit longer to arrive than some of the other breakfast spots nearby, but it's worth the wait. Very kid friendly.

Wonderful, wonderful service by smart and funny Irish women. Food is excellent, comfortable environment. No rush to get out, can spend hours sitting and talking (which we do). The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I'm a coffee snob and I found their coffee weak. Otherwise, a perfect breakfast experience!

Cute little (literally, it's pretty small) place connected to the Curraugh...nothing to race over to, but a nice place for brunch for the ever lacking brunch spots in Edison Park!
Finally gave this place a whirl-not bad! I went with my bf one Sunday, no wait and not too crowded...weird, but I'll take it!
The service was right on and the food was pretty good. I thought it was super greasy though. I had a spinach, red pepper and tomato omelet and it was pretty greasy...butter?
I'm not a butter girl, so I wasn't too happy about it but the omelet was good nonetheless. Maybe if they used olive oil or something...was kind of going for the healthy thing here but the butter ruined that.
Bloody Mary Rating? 7 out of 10

Very good food. It's actually part of the Irish bar next door which I think is pretty cool. They are a little creative with the breakfast menu and it turns out well. I am more of a southern/basic breakfast fan. So, I much prefer crispy hash browns and biscuits and gravy to the french cheese and veggies fare at this place. But, it was delicious!

I usually do not comment on service, because I'm not that picky. But, this was some of the worst service I have had. Without the bus boys, we would have never had our drinks refilled. The waitress sat us, took our order, and never came back until we were done eating. That's just wrong. I would have given four stars for the food, but this lack of service really affected how much I enjoyed my meal. I don't want to beg for more water or send a search party out for the waitress on a Sunday morning when I'm hung over.
