Prices are higher than other McDonalds, they charge a fee for drive thru orders, charge for sauces other than ketchup or BBQ sauce, add an up charge for getting a drink with a kids meal that isn't soda (so milk or apple juice cost extra) and don't offer refills. Not just "no free refills." Â They don't do refills, period. It's a McDonalds! Â How is that even possible? Â I won't be going back.
Review Source:Way, way, way over salted fries in my opinion. Â I always ask for the fries unsalted, they come out perfect & always hot & fresh.
Their new drive-up system is never working properly. Don't know why they even put the 2nd intercom when it still tells you to pull up to the next one anyway.
Lastly, make sure you double check your order before you leave because 1/2 the time they end up missing something.
I don't need to tell you a thing about the food here, so you can stop with the eye roll or the "Why is Kellie reviewing McDonald's" head scratching. Â Keep reading.
What I'm going to tell you is a new secret weapon to combat wintertime/bad weather kid cabin fever and sluggishness. Â Yes, at Mc Donald's. Â Head to the back of the restaurant and just past the sliding glass doors is your destination. Â
Parents or other adults in charge of children: this location has a great play land area for kids, and better yet, you don't have to pay an outrageous fee to use it or stand in a line just to get in. Â While I haven't seen any kind of purchase enforcement to use the play area, I know keeping up with the little ones tends to make a grown-up thirsty. Â Grab yourself a coffee or other beverage that suits you and relax a bit while the little ones burn off that energy. Â It's that simple.
The equipment seems to be kept fairly clean, or as clean as it can be kept with little hands constantly climbing all over it. Â It can get a little busy on a Saturday afternoon, which is to be expected. Â My only complaint is that the sliding glass door is sometimes left open, which is probably noisy for the rest of the customers and one less obstacle to keep the little ones corralled when they get distracted and run away from the play equipment.
Save those pennies and give it a try. Â Then, do yourself and the kids a favor and take them home, or anywhere else, to eat something a bit healthier. Â Besides, it'll probably be naptime or bedtime anyway after all that running around. Â Yeah, for everyone.
Bring the hand sanitizer and I'll see you there.
The only reason why is particular McDonald's is still in business is their playhouse. If they didn't have it, they would have been closed. Overpriced, yes overpriced than other McDonald's. 50% of the time, they don't have the deals they have on TV. They add 20 cents more. No free refills, sorry. This McDonald's is the only one I know that doesn't have free refills.
Review Source:With this economy the owner here has raised prices on combo's. Â Find the Big Mac combo at a whopping $6 dollars and change. Â There are three other McDonald's locations on Kedzie that are within a mile that charge less. Â
WTF?
This location is where I attended my first McDonald's party where I met Ronald McDonald and Hamburglar. Â It'd be sad to see it closed, on this trend it may soon be.
