I've read some mixed reviews of this place and would like to clear a few things up:
IT IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!
It's the best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico.
Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart, very efficient and friendly.
I'm not a fan of mole sauce, so I asked for mine on the side, unless you absolutely LOVE mole, I would suggest getting yours on the side also. Â It is delicious. Â
Clean facilities, fabulous service, and excellent food in generous portions: Â this is the ONLY Mexican restaurant in town as far as I'm concerned! Â :)
I went to Mezcalito's last night for the first time. Â I really liked the look and feel of it.
It's always one strike when you have to pay for chips and salsa. Â I mean, it was only $3 but still. Â It comes with two types of salsa, but neither is anything special.
I had the steak enchiladas and they were drowning with what I think is mole sauce. Â I would not ever get this again.
The place was fine, but I don't think that I would go again.
Just writing an update b/c in my prior review I forgot to mention that Mezcalito's is dog friendly. Â
My bestie and I took my itty bitty furry nephew Luca there. Â We sat at a sidewalk table. Â (My understanding was that fur babies aren't allowed on their covered patio, but i could be wrong). Â Our waitress fawned over him. Â Brought him a bowl of water. Â And a little bowl of plain chicken, for which she didn't charge us. Â
Luca gives Mezcalito's 2 paws up!
