Thinking Man Tavern

One of my favorite Decatur joints. Too far to walk, Thinking Man is a short bike ride from my house. The beer selection is good, though the pitcher prices are a little high for the area. Good whiskey selection too.

Winston, the bartender, was knowledgable about the product and a good conversationalist in those slow times. The servers were laid-back and friendly.

I had a darn-good hamburger and a side of green beans and they both hit the spot. Crispy, smoky green beans. I would've ordered them as the entree if I could. It feels good as a customer to have your expectations exceeded, and that's what happened to me on my last visit.

I will definitely make it my go-to dinner spot outside of my walkable radius.

Great beer selection, including several beers from Bell's, Lagunitas, Dale's, and other craft breweries; friendly bartenders.

Went back, service was alright, food is pretty good. On my original review, I really let that bartender get to me.
