Tastiest zucchini pizza I've ever had. I don't know if it's the tasty crispy thin crust or the flavorful cheese but I just love it. I ordered the small for myself and had no problem devouring the whole thing. I also took some gelato to go and it's definitely the best I've ever had at a restaurant. I am a loyal customer.
Review Source:So they market themselves as "homemade", but I can tell there were many things on this menu that weren't made in house. That said, my husband ordered the meatball sub and really enjoyed it. Those were actually homemade. I got the pasta primavera and I mentioned to he manager that this was their best dish... She agreed. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 3 is because the manager came over and ACTUALLY talked to me and really took my advice as an Italian-American and as a culinarian. I appreciated that. Also, she brought me out some walnuts to spice up the primavera since she was out of pine-nuts, which I suggested they start adding... Â Also the pignoli cookies are the shiiiiit!
Review Source:My first introduction to Mici was when Pura Vida had it catered in for their Anniversary Party. Since then, I have made them a standard go-to place when I am craving a tasty pie and am in the Cherry Creek area. We usually order one with thinly sliced zucchini on top which for some reason really goes well with the pizza. We also order the Cristofori which is a pesto pizza with chicken and artichoke hearts.
I've heard that they deliver, however, I'm usually in the area often and don't mind stopping in and picking them up.
If you're in the Cherry Creek North and craving some good pizza, Mici's may be a good place to try!
They know how to use quality ingredients. Â So far I've had the DiGirolomo personal pizza, the Palermo Pannini and a few breakfast items. Â I believe they stopped serving breakfast since there wasn't enough clientele for it, which is sad because there's enough people at my small workplace that loved it!
The DiGirolomo pizza is the best non-sauce pizza I can imagine. Â Olive oil, julienned pepperoni and pepperocini, gorgonzola, etc. and all in the perfect proportion. Â Their pizza crust is excellent, with just the right about of cornmeal on the bottom in that delightful way that you like how it feels pressed upon your fingertips as you eat and compliments as a mild additive flavor. Â I savored every bite.
The Palermo Pannini was much like the pizza - smartly organized and carefully crafted. Â I'm a big fan of panninis and this is up towards the top of my list. Â They need to get different flavors of chips to offer however. Â
Very affordable for the area you're in and for the quality and quantity offered. Â The staff are outstanding - they shown enough of an interest in your well-being without appearing phony.
Well done Mici, 4.5 stars!
Great BREAKFAST menu now. I just had a fabulous Fritata, with egg whites, Prociutto di Parma, mozzarella, fresh spinach, and sun dried tomatoes, on toasted ciabatta. For around $4.00. And, a perfectly made16 oz latte (with 3 shots of espresso). The service was fantastic and friendly, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with photos of the family grandparents in Italy. It's family owned and operated. We also had a great chocolate muffin. And, they serve great, authentic gelato.
Have breakfast there soon. It's new for them. It's served until 11 am M-F.
I've had pizza there many times, and love it. I always order it crispy, and have never been disappointed. I live in Italy 2 months each year, and Mici's does an excellent job.I eat in, the temp is always right, and, the ingredients are all fresh.
Good, solid pizza. Â We got it delivered and it might taste even better in the restaurant. Â It arrived lukewarm to less then warm. Â Once I warmed it up it wasn't as tasty as it could have been. Â Agree with several that like the calzone with ricotta and nutella- it's good. Â It's not the best pizza I've had but it's certainly better than most. Â We'll probably try it in house next time to see if the temp issues are just delivery related.
Review Source:I have eaten at Mici several times before and have been satisfied, but today's experience put the nail in the coffin for me.
I ordered a personal pizza and salad for delivery around 11AM. The pizza arrived cold (which I could understand if it were being delivered more than a block away), and my order came without napkins, silverware, parmesan or red pepper, standards for all delivery pizzas.
I kinda like this little neighborhood pasta & pizza joint. Â It reminds me a bit of an upscale Noodles, primarily b/c the ambiance is fast-casual and the format is fast-casual. Â You order and pay for your food when you arrive, find your seat, then they'll deliver your food to you.
On this particular visit, I tried the pasta with a bolognese sauce. Â My companions had the same dish, but with extra meatballs, which I highly recommend you splurge for. Â My meat sauce was good, but needed a little more oomph - so next time I'll splurge for the extra protein. Â I also thought my sauce was a little bland at first, but the more I dug into it, the heartier it tasted. Â Overall, I liked the dish. My companions ordered a spinach salad which was huge - enough for all four of us. Â
They have a nice selection of Italian beers and house wines. Â You are going here for a moderate priced meal - this is not a date-night place, in my opinion b/c it's pretty casual and a little loud.
I do have to give props to the staff at the front counter - super friendly and inviting. Â I felt like they were glad to have us there and that makes a big difference in ambiance.
My only complaint? Â I felt like the bread was really dry and flavorless. Â Throw a little butter on that baby or some cheese and garlic!
Their speciality is thin-crust pizza. Â I will definitely return to try out a pie or two.
Not a bad place when you are looking for a causal dining. Â But not a great place either. Â I like the idea and we have been here several times, but not sure any of the menu items relate to me. Â Maybe its because they use fancy Italian words which I don't understand, but even tasting the food, its good, but nothing I particularly crave. Â Service is always nice and I have never had a problem getting parking on this end of Cherry Creek North. Â It always has a crowd, but is not overcrowded. Â I've noticed people like bringing their kids to this restaurant a lot. Â Also, I kind of think the prices are deceptively high. Â The pasta starts at 9 bucks but then you have to add a protein for 2 dollars. Â So, when it all adds up, its good, just not great.
Review Source:Mici presents itself as an upscale, casual dining restaurant. There's only one problem -- the food is not "upscale".
I've been to Mici several times now, and each time I walk away unsatisfied. The food is average; nothing special. I feel like the restaurant is missing something -- Flavor? Authenticity? Something.
I like that it's locally owned and operated and has a nice patio space, but the food quality needs improvement.
I have not had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant but I have ordered it for lunch and every time it has been delicious. Their calzones are amazing and today I tried the best Tomato soup I have had...
I will definitely make it to the restaurant so I can try other things in the menu and give a more comprehensive review.
I only gave Mici 3 stars, because I was disappointed in the value. Â The small salad (to-go) was smaller than most side salads... but it was $5.75! Â Crazy! Â It should have been a $3 salad. Â
Grateful to find Gluten Free Pizza offerings, but again, you can only get it in the personal pan size, and there's a $2 up charge. Â I guess I'm just tired of having to pay more because I happen to have a food allergy. Â Alas...
For the last two days, I've been telling anyone who will listen to me about Mici's calzone filled with ricotta and Nutella. That particular item taught me to love again.
I'm a fan of their sandwiches and salads too. And they deliver. Â I can't speak for their pizza, because I'm all about other things on the menu, but I can tell you that I've deeply enjoyed everything I've had.
Especially the Nutella calzone. You really need to try that Nutella calzone.
Mici is a great example of what a casual dining experience should be. This is not the highest end of cuisine, but it does a very good job at what it offers. The interior is clean, stylish, and everything appears to go together. The menu is centered on Italian with several options from pizza to sandwiches to salads. Â There is a wine menu that makes for a nice choice on a weekend lunch or for dinner.
I have been here a few times for lunch and to meet up with colleagues after work for a quick bite. Each time has been really easy and satisfying.
They validate for parking, which is not the easiest situation to find the first time. You need to go around the north corner of the block and head south. The entrance is on your left, but it is the second entrance for parking. you make an immediate turn up a ramp to park on the above ground floors.
They have outside seating, which is covered by the above floors. Â It is nice to be able to sit outside and still feel sheltered from the unpredictable elements.
Finding a quick place to eat with free parking in Cherry Creek North is not easy. Â Thankfully, Mici offers both convenience and consistently tasty food and drink.
Terrible! The proscuto was fatty and gross and the pasta was underdone and tasteless. The wheat calzone was bland even with sausage! This place is terrible all the way around! I wouldn't eat here for free. Disgusting.
With regard to the response below from Mici, there is a big difference between al dente and underdone. It was underdone.
Mici is a great pizza option in the Cherry Creek area. Â There are lots of options for pizzas, all of which are pretty traditional (no crazy California Pizza Kitchen options here, but a good variety of toppings).
I usually take out instead of dine in, so I can't really comment on the space too much. Â It looks nice enough, and it's always quiet when we go in there.
I've had just a pepperoni pizza, a DiGiorolomo (pepperoni, pepperoncini), and a Mediterraneo (tomatoes, olives, fresh spinach, artichoke hearts). Â I've always been pleased with the quality and quantity of toppings on the pizza. Â It's never oversauced. Â The crust is always a highlight, which is weird for me because i'm not really a crust guy. Â But it's crunchy and just feels and tastes good.
All that said, it's not the type of pizza that's going to change your life or anything. Â It's just a good, lazy-night-in pizza place for those of us that live in the area.
Mici came by way of recommendation from a friend. Â I'm so glad I remembered that while hunting for a late lunch in Cherry Creek North. Â
I was pleasantly surprised with the options and the pricing on the lunch menu. Â For a mere $7.25 you can choose two items (pizza, salad, soup, etc.). Â I opted for a veggie slice and a salad. Â Both were very tasty! Â The wait wasn't long and the staff was friendly. Â I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
I would give Mici 3.5 stars. The pizza was just OK, but the panini sandwiches are pretty good.
We sat toward the front, in plain sight of the order counter, and spent the whole of our time getting the hard stare from the employees. Not sure what that was about, but it doesn't make my meal anymore appealing.
Went here for my family birthday dinner. I was looking for a place that was family friendly, close to home, good eating, and not hard on the wallet. Way to go Yelpers! You pointed me in the right direction.
Dinner is about $10 a person, very reasonable for such good Italian food. You walk in and it's set up is much like Noodles and Company. You order your food take a number to your table and they serve you.
The food however, is a step up for from the chain. It is very very tasty on par with any sit down Italian joint.
We tried the Marinara with Meat balls, Alfredo, Marinara with Chicken, Molto Carne Calzone, and the Ameritacho (totally spelled that wrong). All of it was very fantastic and most of it was consumed with the dinner. Hardly any left overs. The sauces are homemade as are the meatballs. The Alfredo sauce is made with a light hand and extremely tasty. We ordered a bottle of the Chianti and it had a wonderful spice. All of us in a celebratory mood  decided to try their homemade gelatos. If you like gelato they do it justice.
I'd say if you're in Cherry Creek and want some good pasta stop on by. You get a lot of really good homemade quality food for your money. They are off of 2nd and Milwaukee.
Cheers my fellow Yelpers!!
Italian in Cherry Creek done the friendly way.
I always forget about this place primarily due to it's elevate street location (why someone ever decided to develop buildings like that is another topic) but when I go there i know I'll get great food from super nice people and that makes me happy.
They live up to the name Family and Handcrafted, frankly if you are in the mood for pasta, this is your Cherry Creek choice.
I feel like they want me here and they enjoy having you vs some of their neighbors. Â If they were street level i know i could sit all day on their patio chilling Italian style
Grazzi!
I've been here for lunch twice, and enjoyed both visits.  They have a lot of nice Italian options for under $10, and the menu is big enough you could come frequently and not get bored.  On my first visit I had the chicken parmigiana panini and the fiancé had the meatball one.  Both were good but the meatball one was great.  On today's visit I tried the tortellini with prosciutto and peas; it was delicious if a bit heavy, but that's what I get for ordering alfredo.  The garlic bread that came with was great-- they use high quality crusty bread and it shows.  My friend had the verdura panini and it looked amazing.
They get bonus points because the staff is friendly and helpful and because they have those delicious orange and lemon Pellogrino drinks. Â I'm definitely a fan!
In the Marco Polo Airport in Venice, there are these little quick stop restaurants that serve great Italian food but in a quick and modern sense.
Mici reminds me of those places. Very contemporary design that once again wouldn't stick out in Italia and good food that isn't the least bit pretentious. My wife and I shared the Pizza and Wine deal that's goes for 25 bucks. The pizza was good and the wine was decent. For 25 dollars I'm not complaining at all.
The service was really good. They were very attentive, coming by to see if we needed anything at regular intervals. I was a bit surprised by this because it's not really a full service kind of place; I was pleasantly surprised.
We visited on a quiet Sunday evening and loved this place! First of all it couldn't be in a more ideal location of Cherry Creek, wow.
The location was clean, cute, and staffed with the friendliest employees that was so helpful and accommodating, especially considering we had a fussy 2-year old with us. (drove 14 hours from Phoenix, go figure)
Kids' bowtie pasta with marinara and adult version penne with meat sauce. So delish! You could taste the freshness in the ingredients, and wonderful bread also.
Exceptional experience, especially for less than $20. When are you getting a location in southeast valley of Phoenix?
I went here not knowing what I was in for. Â The format was kinda weird to me at first, ordering at the counter and then having a person wait on you, but to each their own. Â The food was pretty tasty. Â I got a calzone with pepperoni and banana peppers. The crust was a wee bit dry, but the toppings (insidings?) were in copious amounts. Â The service here is unique, but when the waitress was checking in with us she was very attentive, friendly, and helpful.
The patio is really cool for people watching too, what with being elevated and right on the street.  I plan on going here again sometime when I'm down in cherry creek.  It's a nice "not chain but kinda predictable and tasty' option at a pretty good price  point.
Good spot for Cherry Creek businesspeople in search of something to please everyone in a lunch group. Salads are huge and yummy (but no baby spinach, sadly) while sandwiches include tasty Italian deli meats on wonderful, crusty bread. The pizza is tasty, too. I wasn't impressed with the pasta, which was overcooked with too much sauce and not enough pancetta, but it's an option for those craving a carb fix. Mici's Nutella gelato is as addictive as it sounds.
Unfortunately, Mici also falls prey to a couple common pitfalls that irk me when lunching in Cherry Creek. The generous portions seem to justify prices that are a little on the high side for what's offered, particularly on the pasta menu. There is a lunch special for $7.25 that mitigates this flaw somewhat, but variety is limited--if you want to taste the best of Mici, you'll want to go for one of the sandwiches that's not available as a lunch special.
Service is also uniformly rather slow for a fast casual restaurant. Even with very few customers present, it seems to take several minutes to put together a salad or ladle out some soup. No big deal if you're there to sit and chat, but annoying for takeout customers hurrying back to the office.
A solid three out of five for me, and definitely worth a visit for the bread and gelato alone.
I've been to Mici two or three times and have always enjoyed the food but not really enough to rave about it. Yesterday however I stopped in for lunch with my daughter and I am now ready to rave.
We started off, as girls often do, planning on a salad but ended up splitting a large Caesar salad AND a 16" pepperoni pizza with basil - hey, we were really hungry! The salad was brought to our table immediately and was exactly what i wanted. Lots of crisp, cold romaine hearts tossed with a light but tasty dressing with lots of Parmesan cheese and croutons. For seven bucks it was a fair value as it was a meal in itself. My only minor nit is that the croutons were not homemade. It was however served with a two major slices of toasted garlic bread. Delicious.
The pizza was then served just as we finished grazing our salad. Hot out of the pizza oven, this pie was a beautiful sight. Lots, but not too much pepperoni, a thin layer of melted cheese over tangy, slightly sweet tomato sauce topped with basil. The crust was brown and glistening but not burnt, thin-ish and crisp but not dry. Really, it was just about perfect.
I'm not a huge fan of the atmosphere and wouldn't go for dinner however for lunch it's just fine. Service - fast and friendly.
Mici is a welcome addition to the otherwise stale Cherry Creek scene. Â There are numerous pizzerias in the area, but these guys have the best crust.
Prices are reasonable and the pasta is good, too. Â Plus, they deliver!
It's not Otto Enoteca (the best pizzeria in NYC), but is excellent. Â I'd say this one is in a rough tie with Marco's for my favorite Denver pizzeria.
I adore the New Cherry Creek location better than the downtown one. There is just something about this one being "perched" atop 2nd floor overlooking Cherry Creek. Â If I hadn't looked up this location on the website, it is kind of hard to spot.
Anyway,
Me and my other can't get enough of the "Tortellini alla Miceli" (Cheese-Filled pasta shells & peas in a creamy alfredo sauce) Â and sharing a Cesare Salald(which comes in a 2-person sized bowl) Both dishes come with a side of Crunchy garlic Toast.
If you are not too hungry, you might appreciate the "Pomodoro e Basilico" (Creamy tomato soup) which looks plain when you first order it, but is actually very warming and yummy
Edible but very boring, generic pizza. The atmosphere is way too bright at night. They should really use a dimmer. I felt like I was sitting in a greasy fast food restaurant. Felt rushed at the counter when ordering even though there was nobody behind me.
The bottom pf the pizza was covered in cornmeal. This is the first sign of a cheap pizza. Cornmeal, I mean come on! What is this, an amusement park or state fair pizza joint? The "fresh" mozzarella is store bought and was yellow in color. Don't call it fresh unless you make it from scratch. There are several places in Denver that make their own Mozzarella fresh several times a day. This is definitely not one of them. They are basically lying by saying they use the freshest ingredients available.
I almost forgot to mention the pretend silverware and plastic plates. Geez!
Skip it and go to CPK just across 1st ave if you want average pizza. If you want great pizza leave Cherry Creek all together.
Very quiet dining on a Saturday afternoon.
We each had a sandwich and split a bottle of wine.
Cafeteria style: ordering, utensils and fill/refill your soda. But, my school cafeteria never had wine. For $19, we had a bottle of generic Bianco Toscana. Crisp and fruity. OK.
Our sandwiches were very good. I had the Palermo Panino (meat, cheese, roasted peppers) while Tracie had the Polpetta Parmigiana (meatball sub).
