A really nice place for music. We came at June the 4th for Emily Jane White and Marie Mores head.  Great picks.

Ppl are really friendly and the whole atmosphere was cool. Not crazily loud. The price of food and drink r really reasonable.

    Garlic fries were really good!

    Love this place.

I used to live right around the corner of the little local "diveish" bar. It's not really a dive, like your feet don't stick to the ground. Just a little worn...but I like that, and the musty smell that accompanies it. Although the cover is usually around $10, 9x out of 10 the music is really good. Mostly blues based rock, and some showcase stuff. Drinks are reasonably priced, or average. Not too loud, so you can talk over the music, and a couple hot servers doesn't hurt either!

Great bar-- Full service bar, bartenders are attentive. Drinks are strong. Drinks aren't that expensive. Crappy Beer selection though

Music and experience--They always bring notable bands/ artists. The sound is good for a small venue-- resonates within the whole venue, and captures all the artists' instruments with a crisp sound. They bring a variety of different rock artists

Crowd-- Young crowd. Mostly music enthusiasts. Very social crowd(what do you expect)

Decor-- Dark.? who cares you're probably smashed listening to music anyways

DA BOTTOM LINE, place is a good time for drinks and good music. Don't expect to have an intimate conversation.

Better to take a date here, tahn the typical dinner though.

I paid $15 at the door then $9 for a glass of wine that the bar tender took before I finished it.  Didn't want to chance a losing a second glass, so I didn't order another.  But the bar tender/servers didn't bother to take another order from me anyway.  This place is a restaurant but since all of the tables were reserved, I did not get a chance to order anything or even look at a menu.  Oh, and "working girls" are welcome here.  I won't be back.

Came here to see Simply Rose. Excellent show! The band was poppin and the singer was on point. She's my husbands friends sister and that has nothing to do with how many stars I gave, she earned them :-). Although the venue was quite small we still enjoyed friends and the performance. I was not impressed by the 4 tiny crabcakes that kinda reminded me of salmon croquettes. I had a glass of wine but I tasted hubbys tom collins and I swear it tasted like plain lemonade. Needless to say, I would return to see other shows because this venue is not unlike so many other lounges we've been to with the bar food and watered down drinks so I can't really complain.

I've watched bands here for years, but tonight I decided to go early and try to get dinner (and a table in front of the stage).

I ordered the Jambalaya and a diet Coke.  At $10, the Jambalaya is one of the few reasonably priced meals (by comparison, fries are $8 and three miniburgers are $13).  The diet Coke was $4... no comment!

The Jambalaya could have been good, but the flavor was totally dominated by garlic - so much so that I don't think I'll be rid of the taste for days!.  Any meal which sticks with you hours later (and after a subsequent meal), is probably a problem, and this is how I feel about the food at The Mint tonight.

Also, they served this "soup" with a fork!  When I asked for a spoon, the best they could find was an ice-tea spoon.

It was, however, nice to get to sit at a table in the front row... maybe next time I'll try the mini-burgers or crab cakes (each $13).

Visited this place recently for the first time. Was pretty nice inside and the food very decent. I wasn't happy to pay $4 for a soda that was mostly ice and gone in a few sips, but other than that, not bad.

Since moving down from norCal, I've been fairly disappointed by the music venues in LA.  Dead crowds more interested in cell phones.  Fake ass atmospheres created by designers.
So when I came here for American Aquarium I was pleasantly surprised.  A venue that doesn't try to e something it isn't and a crowd that actually seemed to be into things.
    Good beer selection too.

One of my foodie pals wanted to try a deep dish pizza from Hollywood Pies after hearing about how good they were, so we recently stopped by and ordered one, and was told it would take 45 minutes.  So we walked over to the Mint where a cool band was playing and had a couple of drinks.  The place is adorably kitsch and old school, the peeps a nice mixture of hipsters 'n' middle aged folks, and the bartenders & the hostess super friendly.  A nice neighborhood hangout joint!

I've been here twice and I've become a fan of this place! Cover tends to be about ~$10 to get into listen to fantastic live music. Check in with Foursquare if you are inclined to get a buy one get one FREEEE drink! Sweet deal. Them garlic parmesan fries are pretty effing good (minus the garlic on your breath and on your hands after consuming aforementioned fries).

Staff here is friendly and music is top notch both times I've visited. When an event I had just paid tickets for was unexpectedly cancelled, I frantically contacted management and was promptly informed that I would be refunded the ticket amount. That's just what I wanted to hear, especially when I was expecting only a partial refund!

Plenty of parking on the street is available, 1 hour parking only before 6 pm. Then haughtily laugh at the parking meters after 6 pm because you won't have to feed those suckers!

Visit the Mint, it's a great establishment! You just might find (and meet) your new favorite band here.

Bands I've seen here: Elizabeth and the Catapult, Yellow and Red Sparks, Kris Orlowski, The Last Bison.

A few months ago, fate designed it so that I had One Night In L.A. Because there was a band I loved that happened to be playing there, I decided to spend it at The Mint. It was quite possibly the best show I've ever been to.

The Mint has great drinks, yummy appetizers, and a really laid-back atmosphere. Being a country mouse in the big city, a part of me was just waiting to get stepped on. But it never happened! Everyone from the girl at the door to the waiters to the other people in the crowd were incredibly nice and welcoming. I think the kind of people a venue attracts says a lot about the venue, and what it says to me is that The Mint is a place anyone who wants to have fun should feel at home. Nobody blinks if you want to use the middle of the floor to dance while the band plays. It's a really intimate atmosphere and there isn't some invisible wall between the audience and the performers, which I loved.

I got to see one of my favorite bands, dance along to their music, meet some cool people in the crowd, and then hang out a bit with members of the band after their set. It was one of the best nights out I've ever spent.

It was also relatively inexpensive, which is nice, because we country mice have tiny, tiny purses.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this place kind of rocks! I came here to see B-Side Players with my husband on a Friday night and we had a really nice small lounge club experience. Great musical line-up and good service from waitstaff. In the future I will make sure to reserve a table since standing through the whole evening is not fun. It's important to note, however, that even if you do reserve a table, some will be removed once the main acts begin. This is a fun little place that has a lot of potential and good taste in booking acts!

I love The Mint!  Why?  Because they have great music, fresh food and the service is fantastic.  In addition parking is a breeze.  For anyone who lives in LA, you should definitely check it out.  While most are emerging artists, they do have some great and well known artists as well.   I saw Billy Cobham there on his Spectrum 40 tour.  The band blew off the doors with their amazing sound.

This is my second time at the Mint and I'm really fond of it! Even from the entrance, people here are extremely nice and happy. When we walked in, a band was in the middle of a set, so there was nowhere to sit and people were just awkwardly packed in the back. After they finished, though, a bunch of tables opened up. When we sat down, service was pretty quick; my friend ordered food, and she said it was really good, but I ended up just getting some drinks. (If you sit at the tables, it is a 2-drink or 1 food item minimum). Tons of parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.

I have yet to see a bad show here. First time I came here, I saw a friend of a friend of a friend's show, so I had no idea what to expect. They were GREAT. The more recent time I came, I went with a friend that had tickets and exchanged them for a random show. We came to see a group that was going to be performing at 11:30pm, but they let us in at like 9, when we got there. We got to see 3 different groups perform and they were all really amazing.

Intimate setting, cool crowd, good music, and a fun time. I'll be back!

Nice cozy club. Went there to see Band of Strangers with some friends on a Sunday Night. Sat in a booth just off stage left. Was pretty hungry when I got there so I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak - which was recommended by our server. It was surprisingly really good. It also came with garlic fries which were really tasty as well. Had a bite of my wife's Vegetables Napoleon which wasn't that great. And the hummus on the hummus plate was super salty. I would come back here...it's super close to where I live, and the sandwich I ordered is something I would definitely order again.

Love this place. A great venue for upcoming artists. Heard some great musicians here and the service is always amazing from the waiters to the bartenders. Hint, the fries are to die for but very garliciky so just beware. Venue can get packed and hot but it just means people are rocking out hard.

Tables and standing room depending on the event and artist. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good music place that isn't super expensive or for any artist that is looking for a great place to play music.

Plus parking is sooo easy and that within itself is a reason to love it.

Came here for Clairy browne & the bangin' rackettes with a group of friends and had a blast!

The staff here is absolutely AMAZING, especially Deana, who helped me with my table almost a month prior to the performance date with many back and forth emails. No matter what time of the day I sent my email, she always responded within an hour. Love love love her. She's a star.

Our waitress was very nice and every 20 mins or so, someone always comes by to check if everything's ok. It's so rare to have this kind of unpretentious vibe in LA. These are cool people and I really enjoyed my time here.

The fries were yummy, and the drinks were fantastic.

This is one  of those places where you can say you saw a band before they got famous. They book some great talented musicians.

Parking is easy. All street parking free on pico after 6pm. Highly suggest you get a table if you're seeing someone popular or prepare to be standing shoulder to shoulder with the crowd.

i dont like the ticket policy here. although i cannot speak for the music (which i hear is awesome), i have to speak to the lack of organization at the door here. we called ahead before ariving for the snarky puppy show and were told it was sold out, but if we got there in the next 15 minutes, there were cash tickets at the door waiting for us. so we sped over there and made it in time. they started a line in front of the door for people who did not already have tickets.  my date and i were the very first people in line. great, we thought! not so. we waited in line for almost 2 hours, until the end of the show, then left in despair. a night wasted.

i understand tickets are not always guaranteed, but the manager at the door should have let us all (loooooong line of us waiting) know it would be unlikely and we should probably not count on getting in.  at one point, they closed the door on us too, so that we could not even listen from outside the venue.

The Mint is a blessing to musicians playing in Los Angeles and to live music fans. Typically, I stay as far away from LA as I can, based on the traffic, air quality, and freeway shootings. But then I saw that one of my favorite artists (Gregory Porter) had a live show at The Mint, so I bought 4 dinner/show tickets and drove up to see him perform.

The Mint has an easy to find location on Pico Boulevard with plenty of free street parking less than a block from the club. We got there about an hour before showtime and stood near the front of line, which eventually wrapped around the corner. You check in with Deana(give this woman a raise), then security checks ID's and you get a stamp.

Luckily, dinner reservations get seated first, so get in and order your drinks before the crowd comes flooding in. We were given an awesome booth that was about 15 feet to the left of the stage. That is pretty damn close. After eating dinner, we stood up right in front of our booth to better see the show onstage. Perfect view.

Dinner was good, and the prices were reasonable, especially for a club. Standouts were the blackened fish tacos, vegetable napoleon and the hummus plate. Drinks were stiff here and the service was great considering that the place was packed with a sold out, standing room only show. Our friendly waitress even remembered extra limes on every round of drinks!

The show was better than I hoped it to be. The Mint is so intimate that the sound, especially vocals, are heard loud and clear. You could actually feel it in your soul. You don't ever get that feeling at bigger venues. To finish the show, Gregory Porter walked out to the crowd(with no security) to thank people for coming out. He took time to shake hands and take pictures with all of his dedicated fans.

The staff at the Mint seems to have it all figured out, and they deliver an experience that you would not expect from such a small venue. Big name artists, great food and drinks, and a staff that takes excellent care of it's guests. Oh yeah, the crowd is great too. Security did not flex a muscle all night. The Mint seems to attract a mature crowd of people that come out to have a good time without any drama. We'll be back!

P.S. Let me say thank you to Deana for making my ticket transaction painless, and even following up with an old school phone call to confirm my attendance. Thanks!

I'm a big fan of this place!

I've seen my favorite band, Midnight Mirage, perform here a few times, and I always have a great time!

Great location, parking's easy, doesn't cost a lot to get in, really cool rock n' roll vibe, too.  Great music too, obviously.  It's a perfect place to see music, the stage is almost on the same level as the rest of the place, which makes it feel more intimate.

I've seen Midnight Mirage perform at a famous place several times on the Sunset Strip, but for some reason, the Mint was a much richer experience (in terms of depth, how much I liked it).

This place is rad, I definitely want to come here to check out some up-and-coming bands!

(Parking is free on Sundays here, so maybe I'll come to Sunday shows...)

Friday night show, and I expected the place to be packed and parking difficult to find. I found a spot right around the corner, probably the closest spot possible when not parking in front. Awesome!

The atmosphere is chill and inviting, and I love the intimate setting of the place. The drinks were average priced for this type of venue and location, in my opinion ($16 for a double whiskey on the rocks, served in a 12oz rocks glass!).

Staff was cool and let us hang out and talk with the band after the show, and didn't hustle us out.

This venue exists for the music and the fans of it.

Come early for shows. Very intimate venue. Limited view if you stand in the back.

It gets crowded, especially for well-known musicians. Acoustics are good.

    Very nice and friendly staff.

Parking available on street and nearby residential.

Cougars. Dads hanging out on Dudes Night. Hipsters. Past-their-prime rock n' rollers. I love them all. And they all love the Mint.

$10 cover for the venue. $15 dollar minimum for credit cards. This means come to the Mint with cash. Also, 2-for-1 drink special with a Foursquare checkin here.

The bouncer was walking to the bathroom and barreled through me like I was a ghost and made me spill my drink. Not cool. The live cover band starring studio members of Yes, Foreigner, and other arena bands? Very cool.

Great drinking and people watching spot all to the soundtrack of some loud rock and roll music. The Mint is good in my book.

This place is right by our house and has some good acts come by. It is small and intimate. It can get crowded and the standing room could get contentious. For the most part, though, everyone is cool and they are good about holding off the next show's crowd until the previous show is over.

If you want a table, you must make a reservation and buy entrees while there. I've never personally had the food, but it looks good coming out. We saw a lot go by as we were standing by the kitchen door to watch our show, Eden's Edge.

The sound is good in the venue and I highly recommend it if you can stand, otherwise, get a table. You can buy tickets at the door most of the time.

Monday, April 2nd was surprisingly my first time to come to The Mint being that I've lived in Los Angles for ten years and it's been around so long. Some of my friends were performing and I was excited to come. Upon arrival I was impressed with the fact there was plenty of street parking (probably because it was Monday).

So far so good. Some friends and I enter the bar and are shortly greeted by someone that says we have to go back to the front because we need to pay and be stamped. We paid the $10 door. Now, I was expecting some sort of two drink minimum because that's usually the deal. I look up and there is a sign that says, "When seated at a table a one food item or two drink minimum purchase is required." Okay, that's fine. I sit down with my friends and we watch the band and order drinks. As people start requesting their check's it soon becomes apparent that the minimum is $15. Now, here's the rub. The drinks generally cost $6 and all the food items that I saw were under $15. So, it was quite a nice little trick to make people pay for more.

I had bought one of my friends a Cosmo (which was $6) and I bought two drinks for myself but because she had a separate tab she had to buy three drinks to cover this minimum. The dangerous thing is that since it was a Monday night we all weren't staying very long and were pretty much forced to drink three drinks in an hour and get in a car.

Nice ambiance but I probably wont' be coming again.

I'm kind of a fucker! I despise (more than almost anything else) waiting in line.  I hate waiting on hold.  I hate waiting in general.  I avoid it at all costs.

It is because of this hatred that I face issues related to concerts in small intimate venues.  There is a chance for SUPER GOOD spots from which you are able to truly experience the show.  However, you have to get there early enough to beat the nerdy-ass fan club clowns to snag a place in line and get your (by the time the doors are opened) tired ass in there.

The Mint is one of these type of joints.

Brittany P. and I saw Shawn Mullins here and had to wait in line for at least 30 minutes before being let in.  I know... I know, I sound like a whiny pussy.  I probably am.

Other than the obligatory wait in line... This place is great.  Attentive bartenders and a full kitchen with a great menu.  Britt and I were there early enough to snatch a couple of the rare and coveted seats at the bar and watched the show from the comfort of our chairs while the later arrivals had to stand for the span of the three artists who performed that evening!

    WE WILL RETURN!

I...had a great time, some of these whining reviews...boy I tell ya!

I was invited to see a show here, having driven by this venue a million times, this was a good reason to finally pop my head in.

Most of these smaller venues have a similar profile; small intimate, and very personal. What makes of breaks a spot like this are the vibe of the crowd, the way lights, and sound are done, parking, and management.

All that being said, the crowd was reggae, so deodorant wasn't a priority for many...lol ( that was mean huh?) However everyone was cool, they were there to enjoy the music, and be connect with the artist. Lighting, and sound...professionally done, with just enough ambiance to set the mood. Parking...welll I'll just say don't be fooled..that neighborhood can be a little shady, so keep your eyes peeled as to where you park, because all the parking is street parking.

Now for the subject of management...They were cool, everything was organized, and fluid, (as much as a live show can be.) My friend had left a ticket at the door for me, and I had no problem or hassle getting it.

Mint...thank you for hosting a great evening, I look forward to coming back.

Okay, I'll be straightforward with you. It's all about honesty in these reviews:  I'm not a regular at The Mint. I'm not even a once-a-monther.

You may ask, do I have a right to write this review? YES BIATCH!! How dare you. Because I HAVE been there several times but for one reason and one reason only. To watch Brendan's Band play their sweet sweet songs. They are NOW called "Young Beautiful In a Hurry" but I'm proud to say to all you bandwagoners that they were my OG love when they were still Brendan's Band. Seriously, look their shiznat up on Facebook or on their website, they're really good!!

Aaaand, while we're in this therapy/honesty time, I'll also admit a few more things: I used to eat gummy bears off the floor when I was little, I once tried eating a donut while on the toilet to save time in the morning and it ended in DISASTER, and I have occasionally sniffed my toenail clippings. Oh, COME ON. I said OCCASIONALLY--I'm not a savage.

Anyway, I've seen the band play other venues too, but the sweet environment of The Mint seems to be where they shine. And if The Mint is where these guys shine, by golly, that's where I'll go. Let the sun shine in!! (Does this statement make sense, possibly not). I have no idea what The Mint is like on "normal" nights so I can't judge it in that way. It may very well be lame on these "normal" nights. But I do know what it's like on nights when my favorite rock-indie/local band is playing there. It's a pretty sweet music venue is what it is.

VENUE: Foremost, the acoustics are great inside. Band music just sounds awesome! But also, the area is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating towards the stage, and a lot of standing room in the back, closer to the bar. I'm never claustrophobic when I'm inside. And I get claustrophobic in my SHOWER. And it's not an awkwardly set up bar. I've been to many awkwardly set up bar/music venues. I fiddle a lot at those ones--so awkward! And even though there's room to spare in the space, the stage and setting are small enough to see every bead of sweat on the band's faces and get surround sound on their instrumentation.

DRINK: I have to mention that the bartenders are always super nice and quick. JUST how I like them! They happen to have a good selection of standard beers on tap for all the manly men. And then there's ME. They always make a nice dainty blueberry vodka and sprite for me.

EAT: Also, one time I was STARVING and took the plunge and ordered the food, not expecting it to be the greatest, you know, coz it's not a restaurant. I ordered the calamari tempura and DAMN GINA, it was surprisingly REALLY good!!

PARKING: Note that you have to find parking on the street, but I have NEVER had trouble finding parking within a block of the venue in the first 5 minutes I begin my search.

Check the place out when you get the chance! Find your new random favorite local band or even better, discover MY random favorite local band aka Young Beautiful In a Hurry!!

Don't you like to see a music show right now? There is always someone performing at The Mint. If you just wanted to have a drink and listen to some bands, this is a nice quaint place in a quiet part of Culver City.

Because it is in such a quiet part of Pico, parking is the easiest to find for a Los Angeles music venue. Shows aren't too pricey and around 10 bucks each.

There is a pretty standard food menu and a full bar. You can also reserve tables if you order food or a minimum of two drinks. The only problem is that you can only use your credit card with $10 minimum. This should not be a problem if you order several drinks.

The stage is rather nice. The ceiling is lined with records, and the acoustics are good. The atmosphere is that of a nice blues club.

I really enjoyed my times here, and I hope that you will, too.

The Mint is a prety cool restaurant/bar/lounge with a nice stage. I came here for a first ever comedy show, complete with sexy dancers and a house band, and it was really fun and entertaining.

Anyway, it's a little dingey, there is a 2 drink minimum to sit at the tables, the food looks good, is pretty pricey, and the drinks are decent.

It's a vibe thing, and even though I had fun, I wasn't really feelin' the vibe there. I got a slice of Chocolate cake- nothing to write home about. The service is pretty quick and the waitresses were patient although I could tell they wanted to smack some people from my table for taking so long.

All in all, a good night. I will come back again and see what it's like on other nights.

This is not jazz that slithers quietly in the background while you enjoy your dinner and make idle conversation.  No, Monday night jazz at the Mint grabs you by the ear and then bowls you over like a herd of water buffalos.  And as you mingle amongst an eclectic crowd of fellow music worshipers, and you'll realize that this is some of the most creative cutting edge jazz in L.A..

Last night was drum night---3 sets on stage, 3 guys playing simultaneously.  I could not have been happier.  The show starts at 10 pm and is FREE.  The guitar player is like Allan Holdsworth on caffeine; don't miss him.

Sometimes we forget the coolest joints are sometimes right under our noses and that's exactly the case for me with The Mint. I live practically walking distance, drive by countless times, always on my way somewhere else, but for some reason I never think to stop in unless I'm specifically there for a show.

Happened to drop by for a meeting and stuck around to grab a drink and enjoy a little of the night's live band (something very Dylan meets the Dead-esque) and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised on all fronts.

For starters, the place has a great vibe inside. It's just enough dive without being so divey it's dirty. (Not to say there's anything wrong with that, it's just not what I was looking for at a place like this). There's a little bit of a vintage watering hole look with black leather booths and stools and dark red shade covered light fixtures setting the tone with a red glow over the bar, and then you've got a ceiling covered in classic 45s that lends just the right bit of character to this quirky place.

Last night the crowd was a mix of suits in for a mixer and aging hippies decked out in tie-dye ready to get their jam on. The air was awaft with cannabis, incense and expensive perfume. It was eclectic and wonderful and that was what I was looking for at a place like this. The stiff pour on my drink didn't hurt either.

Doubt it's possible to recreate that crowd again under the same roof but I'll definitely be back more often to find out!

Damn you, L.A. and your high drink prices!!!  How am I supposed to get wasted for $9 a pop!?

I have been to a few venues in Los Angeles and so far this is the most comfortable one.  The sound is good, the atmosphere is chill, and the people were a'ight.

There really isn't more I can say here because I was pretty plastered and kind of forlorn.

Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Apparently The Mint has been a fixture in its neighborhood for decades.  What's cooler is the eclectic crowd I've encountered here:  young, old, and middle... educated, provincial... etc.

If you're looking for something different on a Monday night, try it out.  Kevin Kanner and his rotating cast of characters on the trumpet, sax, piano, and bass take the stage.  It's a chill scene with a decent number of people who come out.

Once upon a time, I dated a bona fide tormented singer/songwriter. To ensure that I would have certain "needs" met, I was obligated to attend a bunch of his shows. Out of the various small and local venues where he performed, The Mint was probably the place I least wanted to shoot myself at.

The venue has a seductively intimate vibe, with big booths and candle lighting. More importantly, the sound quality of the live music is impressive. Apparently many legends, including John Coltrane and Miles Davis, have previously performed on their stage. The staff is nice, drinks are strong, parking is easy to find, and the crowd is often on the indie-hipster end. As long as I don't have to smell the mothballs from their thrift store clothing, I'm regular.

Like many bars off the beaten path, The Mint is a bit rough around the edges. I drive up Pico just past La Cienega, wondering "where the heck in L.A. am I", when a neon sign on an otherwise dead street, guides me to my destination. The Mint, a cool underground spot for live music on the rise. Sure, they have an open mic night during the weekdays (I think on Tuesday), but they follow it up with some organized rising star music. When I went, they were featuring my friend's band, belting out an eight piece funk band equipped with horn. They were followed by some sultry R&B. The sound was great, the stage tiny, the drinks friendly, and the staff smiling.

Unfortunately, it's a two drink per person minimum (or a food item) if you want to sit at a table, which was too rich for my blood. But, standing in the back, I was about fifteen feet from the stage. I could imagine The Mint being a great place to meet some friends for a drink and some decent to good cheap or free live music (as long as you know who's going on stage). Overall, a chill place to meet up for the beginning of a night worth of festivities.

Small, hot and loud (and I'm so not even talking about me - bwahahaha)!!!  Seriously though... this place gets HOT... you can be standing there, not moving... but sweating anyway.  Get some ventilation in there people!

Furniture store, CVS, small hole restaurants on Pico and then The Mint... such an odd area for it.

I've gone to this bar several times to see Building a Better Spaceship and Something to Burn and a couple other bands.  The bar features live music from up and coming bands.  There are several tables up front and a couple booths on the side... but I prefer the bar area, where there isn't a drink minimum.  I've even hung out in the small VIP area behind the stage which is kinda cool, lotsa couches.  They also have a small menu of appetizers and what not.

I heard that there's comedy night once in a while and also heard that Prince, Madonna and Britney Spears have all made surprise appearances here to perform... I haven't lucked out on any of those times.  How cool would that be, though... sitting there, sipping your cocktail and then all of a sudden... ta-dow... "You don't have to be beautiful, to turn me on... "  or "You must be my lucky star... "  or "Hit me baby one more time... " starts up!!!  That'd be awesome... not one of my favorite places to hear bands, but I'm sure I'll be back anyway.
