I live in the neighborhood, was excited to hear a beer garden was opening, and really wanted to like this place. However...
I hate that the "garden" is a under a huge patio roof. There is no way to sit and enjoy the sunshine in the current layout. It seems such a waste that the beer garden is a small section of a larger parking lot. Why not expand it into the parking lot and have true outdoor space like Zeitgeist or the Missouri?
Also despite what it says on yelp about being kid friendly - it is NOT. I was there recently, the place was half empty and we were repeatedly told that our kids had to stay seated. I have never experienced this before in any patio situation. I felt like I was being micromanaged. They should either welcome kids or not allow them. This half way in between thing is uncomfortable.
I love this place. Quality, creative burger options with local, medium-rare-by-default cooked meat and delicious buns (an oft overlooked but key part to a burger). The fries are awesome and the onion rings are delicious as well. The beer selection isn't my favorite but I really come for the burgers.
