Update - Sitll good, but not as great as I thought at first! Still visiting!
I was excited months ago when my little neighborhood got a new restaurant.... dragged my feet and just tried it for the first time this week.
I love Chinese food - and I can say this is among my FAVORITE Â Chinese places in Cincinnati. Prices LOW - and everything was extremely fresh! My veggies were fresh, not frozen, the peppers, onions and peas and broccoli was cooked perfectly! So happy!
I didn't try sushi - - but I can say I will be. Most rolls were under $5 and the chef was preparing them in front of me and it looked fab.
So happy that I made it in and I can honestly say I will eat there many more times!!
My wife and I like Chinese and we like sushi, but we had typically had to take a bit of a drive to find either. We were happy to see this place pop up in our neighborhood. We gave it a try once so far and were happy with it. The food was good and the service and atmosphere was fairly typical of a reasonably priced Asian cuisine establishment.
We haven't tried the sushi yet, but we do plan on going back - so maybe next time.
Found this place about a month back while driving through Fort Thomas and it caught my eye.
I wasn't expecting much but I do love my Chinese food. I have to say, New Garden blew the lid off my taste buds.
My date and I started with the peppered tuna sushi. It was good but tasted more like steak and less like tuna. it was also a little bit too salty. However, it still tasted great and I was impressed they could do so well here in the Midatlantic. The presentation for the sushi was amazing as well. It came out looking like a flower!
Our dinners were delectable. I got a spicy chicken and vegetable dish. They did not hold back on the spice. Usually I have to ask for more but New Garden got it right on the first try.
The staff was very nice too. The waitress was a bit late with the check but it was OK.
Another interesting side bit, instead of fortune cookies, they give you a sliced up orange. It's a nice touch.
