Cobblestone is the quintessential small town lunch spot. The food is fresh, delicious and arrives quickly, and if you live in town, you're practically guaranteed to see someone you know while you're there. My kids love to go to Cobblestone because their kids meal PB&J sandwiches are cut into shapes and decorated with a few Skittles. Each kids meal also comes with goldfish, some sort of fruit and a juice box. My personal favorite is the veggie wrap which has all kids of fresh veggies with an amazing dill cream sauce. Also love the Twisted ham and cheese. Don't forget a brownie!! We ate there today and it was great as usual!!
Review Source:I ate at the Cobblestone Cafe today after a long hiatus. Â I go through phases of eating in areas near(ish) to my law office until I've exhausted my options, and eventually, Ft. Thomas fell out of favor because there were other eateries opening, well....other places! Driving aimlessly today, I remembered I hadn't been to Cobblestone in forever, and directed my car in that direction.
I recall that Cobbleston was always busy, and that hasn't changed--which is a great thing. Â I love to support local businesses, so I'm very happy to see that this one is successful, even more so than before. Â A happy surprise today was walking up to place my order (the Buffalo Chicken Salad wrap--OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!) to see Marcy, who used to be the proprietor of my favorite little lunch place in Bellevue, manning the register. Â After exchanging pleasantries, I went to sit down and consumed the entire wrap--the chicken was so tender--all breast meat, nothing "unexpected" or questionable, and there was a lot of it, not just "fillers" like celery or onion, and the Buffalo sauce and bleu cheese weren't at all overpowering--very creamy and full of flavor. Â I ordered mine on a spinach tortilla, and unlike other wraps I've had elsewhere, the tortilla was fresh and supple and easy to handle, not dry and brittle where you lose half the contents after the first few bites. Â
I grabbed a menu for staff lunch meetings and I think Ft. Thomas is back on the list of "go to" places for lunch hour!
I LOVE the Cobblestone. Â My whole family and I love this place. Â Everything on the menu is amazing. Â The chicken salad is divine. Â The twisted ham and cheese - which comes hot on a pretzel bun with spicy brown mustard - is delicious. Â I also recommend ordering a tuna melt, which is not on the menu but they will happily make it for you. Â It's made with cheddar cheese and comes on marble rye :)
