It's obviously really crowded on Tuesday night for Pint Night with something like $2 pints and $5 liters of beer. To be honest, I've never actually gotten beer at Pint Night. You really have to catch the attention of the bartenders... even when they say they'll be right with you, they either ignore you or take forever to get back to you. I hate being rude trying to catch them, but you really have to go for it here.
Get in line before 10:30! The security guards will let a lot of their friends (mostly big groups of girls) through even when the line is long, so that's pretty shady. If  my friends and I get there before 11, we order some drinks at the main bar, and then go downstairs where there is a little more space and you don't have to wait as long for drinks. It gets hot down there, don't bother dressing up cause you'll be sweaty. Of course it's a great college spot--a go-to for UCLA students. Pretty dirty and dank, nasty bathrooms. Since I've graduated, I've come here once a month at most to catch up with friends who still go there. It's one of those spots you just can't avoid even though it's not that great.
Came this Tuesday for pint night. Â $2 beers you can't beat that. Â But when this bartender who serves me doesn't say thank you when i receive a tip. Â Later, I am waiting for 15 minutes to be served a drink. Â I see this new guy come to the bar next to me and gets served within 30 seconds by the same ungrateful bartender who ignores those who give him tips.
I later asked to speak with the manager. Â Unfortunately, he was the manager.
