Tried their large pie, white pizza with broccoli, they forgot the broccoli which was fine i'm not going to make a big deal out of. The pizza was lacking, not to say it was bad or anything it just reminded me of the cafetiere pizza's i would eat when i was in school. Â I tried to narrow the key component of what i believe they just pre buy there dough, and if that's the case your better off going buying your premade dough and make the pizza yourself.
Review Source:I love this pizza. Thin crust but not cracker-crispy thin. Cheese goes right to the edges and nothing goes to waste. Just the right amount of sauce to cheese ratio. It really is addictive. I only work in Union and when thinking about pizza for lunch, I think of no other place. Plus the owners and employees are super laid-back and friendly.
Review Source:have tried this place 3x always got the same type of pizza 1/2 plain 1/2 pepperoni(the best way to tell if a pizza has good natural flavor is try plain with no condiments)
they dont skimp on sauce, crust is thin & baked just right(golden brown, not burnt, not raw) & ends are edible
delivery time about 1/2 hr but the other two times i picked up
it's OK just seems to be missing some flavor either the crust &/or sauce
keep in mind the crust is "dimpled" which usually means pre-made so that would explain the lack of taste
1 time also got a cheesesteak which was ordinary(about the same taste as Steak-Ums)
i may give this place another chance but usually 3x is enough of a sampling to know what you're in for
i was going to give it only 2 stars but seeing how the other few ppl rank it i'll give benefit of the doubt & may give it another try if i see a noticeable improvement i'll edit this rating
Absolutely addictive! Â Best thin crust pizza ever! Padonno's always get our phone orders right. My family hits this place up at least twice a month. Even though it takes 15 minutes or so to get back to my house (in another town) the pizza crust remains crisp while the whole pizza stays warm.
Quality ingredients. Excellent balance in  taste and texture. Great with a Coke. My go-to pizzas are the Eggplant Parm, Anchovies with onion, and the Hawaiian, srsly!!!
Really good thin crust pizza that never disappoints. The pies are pretty generously sized, with a decent amount of quality toppings that don't weigh down the crust. (I maintain that these luscious, foldable slices are even better the next day for breakfast.)
Sandwiches and wings are excellent too--I've never had anything from Padonnos that didn't make me smile! If you like it spicy, try the Atomic wings. If you want it REALLY spicy, try the unnamed super-super-hot wings with the yellowish habanero coating.
Great service, great food, and everything is always made to order just how I like it. Padonno's is truly among the best in the area.
Best thin crust pizza in town. I don't live nearby anymore, but I still stop by when I get the hankering; it's that good. The dough gets thin and crisp, yet firm enough to hold the toppings. All your standard toppings with some nice options like anchovies and breaded eggplant. They have some really interesting specialty pies like the Breakfast Pie. The sauce and cheese are perfect for the style.
They also make fat sandwiches, just as good, if not better, than the Rutgers grease trucks. I also like the Padonno's Wrap. They offer wings with sauces of varying intensity. The Atomic sauce has a nice kick, and they go great with a pie. Crisp on the outside, tender inside. If the Atomic isn't hot enough, they have an unlisted, super-hot, yellow sauce with no name that seems to be habanero-based.
They offer pretty good self-branded root beer. The owner and staff are friendly. They've never messed up a phone order since they're careful with repeating your order and tying it to your phone number in their computer system. Good, dependable food, what more can you ask for?
When eaten onsite absolutely the best pizza I've had since leaving North Newark in the early-70's. Â Boxed for delivery makes the crust soggy, and Padonno's pizza crust is crisp without being dry-- fantastic. Â The sauce is well portioned and nicely flavored, but oregano, red pepper flakes and garlic are on each table to season-to-taste. Â Their cheese is authentic and generous, and their toppings (while not quite as generous) are high-quality. Â Although a well-kept secret, Padonno's is Union's best pizza by a wide margin.
