  One of the few restaurants you can go that still offers great customer service. The owner and his son are extremely nice.
  
  The food is good (not necessarily healthy, but tastes good!), definitely the best breakfast in town. Their home-made pancakes are the best I've had. Prices are fair. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend.

  This place really hits the spot.  Very good breakfast food at reasonable prices and fast friendly service.  Conveniently located next to the El too.

  The neighborhood is Rogers Park not the one listed above.  I love Pete's Grill.  I have been going here for 7 years.  Excellent breakfast.  I too am a regular so they know my order by just a single phone call.  Very friendly staff...all of the workers are family.  For a cheap good breakfast in Rogers Park go to Petes.

  I had lunch here and it was really good. They were not too busy and the tea and coffee we had was fresh and the staff was great.  Unfortunately they are cash only and they are only open till the early afternoon but the open very early morning.

  Pete's has some of the best, convenient and economical breakfast and lunch food on the planet. Sadly, they know my order when I call. Does that mean I go there too much? Yes, probably does - because it's that good!

  Exactly the type of place you want in your neighborhood. Quick, high quality eats with friendly service in a clean space. Right below the Howard Red Line, perfect for a pre-commute breakfast, or for when gyros are really the only option.
