No fish and chips. An English pub with no fish and chips. The waiter said it was a long story, and I should have asked to hear it, because I'm having a hard time coming up with possible explanations.

The beer and decor were a lot better than the food and atmosphere. And since there's plenty of places with good beer and passable food, I don't see a reason to go back. I think this place will appeal to whiskey drinkers more than it did to me.

Pints Pub is by far my favorite brew pub in Colorado. Not only can you find an assortment of hand crafted beers, but they offer "real" cask ales and nitro taps on many of their beers. The Dark Star Ale is amazing, and the wings make all other wings pale in comparison. I've tried most of the food on the menu and the portions are hearty and the ingredients top notch. Try the Saulsbury Wimpy with smoked mozarella, and you can't go wrong. Great music, great vibe, amazing food and beer.

Well, this is a tough review for me cause I am a big Whisky enthusiast and they do a great job in that regard.  Unfortunately the food was bad, and the waitress had no personality, rarely checked on us, and screwed up my order.  In addition, she decided to tell my friend, who was with, that the way he ordered his whisky was not correct, and was degrading the whisky (he wanted his cask strength on the rocks).  Unfortunately she didn't bother to ask if he drank whisky much or she would have found out that he owns almost 500 bottles of single malt and understands how he likes certain drams.

The bartender was very polite and I had to leave my table to have him help me with condiments, and fixing my order since our waitress was terrible.

It's very unfortunate because the food quality, and the service is commented on frequently, and if they just inspected the quality of their service and product it would be a home run.

BTW, no real fish and chips at a pub, and not taking American Express is ridiculous.  Don't you realize that people expect fish and chips at a pub, not Salmon?  You sell whisky at $1000 a pour, but you don't take Amex?

I hope to come back next time I am in town and see if they have improved, but if not then there are  much better restaurants in Denver who sell a few good choices of whisky.
