Ok, I never write reviews on restaurants, however after my experience today I absolutely have to!!

So, today I went to Brandi's pizzeria. Initially when I came in, the woman at the front counter had her head down like she was reading, I said hello, hello, hello. Then she looked up, with no smile or anything. Then I ordered a Large Cheese pizza with two toppings. I proceeded to wait for an entire 1 hour, until I decided to ask what was taking so long and how much longer, then they gave me my pizza. During this long wait time, people were coming in and out with their food.

When I made it in my car, I looked at pizza, and it was slightly warm, not hot at all, meaning the pizza was sitting around for a while after it was cooked. I wonder if I had not asked them how much longer, would I have continued to wait. Also, I was waiting right in front of the the counter the entire time, so they saw me waiting.

Its really unfortunate, because the pizza is good, but not great. There are other pizzeria places in the neighborhood, so they are not absolute in restaurant choices for customers.

After I left the restaurant, I decided to call the restaurant and speak with the manager. When I called they put me on hold for so long, I decided to hang up and write a review.

What I think is so horrible about this restaurant is no one ever apologized for the bad customer service. I will not be giving them another chance, that will be my last time going to Brandi's pizzeria located on 67 E Cermak Rd Michigan Ave.

I advise other potential customers, go somewhere else where they appreciate your business.

Thanks

We waited an hour for burgers last night. People came and went picking up their orders and finally I asked if they forgot to make our food. "No, its in the oven now". Oh ok. Next thing I know, everyone back there is whispering and looking at me. Not a good sign. Finally we get our burnt burgers and all they could say was that it takes too long to make patties in the middle of making other food so that's why it took so long to make a burnt burger.

If the food would have been good, this place would still be terrible on account of the Velvet Lounge that's adjoins this place. BLASTING old chicago house, while the restaurant had their own dance music on. There we were in music hell for an hour waiting for the food we didn't even eat. This place needs to get a clue, fast.

I have given this place a chance several times, but today I reached my limit. I always call in my order ahead of time to save time, but it never fails, I wait for at least 10 to 15 minutes, after giving them an hour to prepare my order. What is the point of calling ahead? They mess up my simple orders constantly...chicken wings with out sauce? Are you joking?

Our Groupon deal to Pizzeria Brandi sat on the bench long enough, so we called it up to the big leagues for a Sunday night dinner and a Redbox. I liked that you could order online but there was no way to account for the Groupon so we had to call. Delivery took about an hour and we got a ton of stuff for the $30 deal: Medium deep dish with veggies, medium thin crust with four cheese and an order of mozzarella sticks. The thin crust was my baby, and HELLO, CHEESE BOMB. And, inexplicably, this was definitely not a good thing. The four cheese was about three cheeses too much. It had congealed into a hard layer that totally overwhelmed both the crust and the non-existent sauce. I used up all the sauce for the mozzi sticks and then heated up some Prego to dip my slices into to provide some of the tomato bite I love. Worst of all, the cheese was fairly flavorless. The deep dish seemed to go over better but hey, I want MY pizza to be yummy, too. Sorry, PB, but I won't be coming back anytime soon.

The sausage pizza is the bomb along with the Buffalo Shrimp. Maybe if they learn better customer service and actually cook food fresher they could have gained another star, but this one time I ordered 20 buffalo shrimp and there was 1 missing. These are just tragic mistakes that make me rate this place as just an okay place. Definitely a place to go if you are anywhere near McCormick place and are just passing through.

We tried Pizzeria Brandi on a groupon and everyone was very happy with it. The pizza was very tasty with a sweet taste to the sauce that was nice. Fresh ingredients and it was cooked well done as we had requested. We split the calabrese sandwich and the napoletana sandwich. The prosciutto was very salty, but other than that, the sandwiches were good too. We'll definitely be back for carry out.

I saw this on Groupon Now and decided to give it a try, despite some of the bad reviews on Yelp. I ordered two thin crust medium pizzas (pepperoni, onion, broccoli on one, spinach and broccoli on the other), and an order of breadsticks. The total with tax was around $35, and with the Groupon it was a total of $20 I paid. I picked up the food in about 40 minutes and it smelled great. Some of the reviews mention that the cheese was too much, but I didn't think so at all. I do love lots of stuff on a pizza, though. I was surprised that they put so many toppings on pizzas, which is a very big plus! The one down side about the pizzas is that they didn't have the toppings I wanted(which were on their website). I had originally wanted rapini and boconcini, but they were out of both:( Other than that, we thought the pizzas tasted great.

The breadsticks were a little on the disappointing side, I have to say. They tasted okay enough, but it was an order of 3 "jumbo breadsticks" for $3.95, and what we got where small, standard breadsticks that seemed right from a freezer and baked. I'd skip these next time. Overall I'd definitely get pizza from here again.

Avoid this place So frustrating that a local business cannot get it together. Was really looking forward to pizza tonight. Hour and a half later still no pizza.

Really mediocre pizza and not much else is really worth it either.

I got a thin crust Brandi Supreme but with the way they cook it means the toppings are under cheese and won't really get cooked through. Also there is a lot of cheese and not enough sauce so the pie was pretty dry.

The one thing I really like is there chocolate chip cookies which are apparently fresh baked and taste awesome.

I read up on this place before I came. Apparently the owner has other restaurants under his umbrella so I figured they knew what they are doing. It had mixed reviews on this site among others but I went in with an open mind. Haven't now eaten here, I can fully confirm the people saying it's the worst pizza in Chicago are out of their damn minds. Yet, I will agree that there are improvements to be made of which I'll name here.

For starters, the woman over the phone failed to tell me a precise time for my pickup order. An hour to an hour and a half is what I expect from a cable company planning a visit to my house, not a pizza place. So I arrived after an hour hoping for the best. Sitting on the counter was a stack of pizza boxes filled with pickup orders. So a word of caution to you future customers - if you waited the full 90 minutes, chances are your pizza may be sitting on the counter for 30+ minutes before you bring it home. A warmer of some sort would help this situation. I paid and was on my way.

They have numerous styles offered including thin crust, medium crust, stuffed and deep dish. I was hoping for the Connie's style cheese on top deep dish when placing my order but ended up getting the sauce on top Uno's style pizza. I also ordered a small thin crust to get a good variety of what this place has to offer. The thin crust was decent. It reminded me of the Nancy's chain thin crust pizza from the suburbs but not as good. The deep dish needed help. Sauce was everywhere. I've made that mistake at home when making deep dish pizza - don't over sauce. It becomes a landslide of red lava that moves everywhere but onto your plate when picking up a slice. The crust on the end, however, was tasty and I felt it was the best part of the pie. I'm a crust lover and this place was respectable.

With a few changes I'd give this place 4 stars. No, it's not the best pizza in the city but it's better than any national chain and a lot of other mediocre parlors. I'm sure I'll order again at some point.

When Pizzeria Brandi opened up in the neighborhood, I finally had easy access to great thin and stuffed pizza. Their seasoned red sauce is divine -- they don't scrimp on their deep list of toppings, and their pizza is truly a joy to eat, reheat and eat again. Their giardiniera and pepperoni stuffed or their black olive and pepperoni thin crust is like Christmas. Truly a delicious chicago style pie. I received a stuffed pie once that had a mistake -- crust wasn't cooked to a flaky and slightly sweet perfection like usual -- and they made it right, as quickly as they could. Pizzeria Brandi is a pizza gem in the neighborhood.

I've ordered the stuffed pizza with green pepper and onions three times and have been very happy with the quality of the tomato sauce and crust. It's as good as Suparosa or Edwardo's and it's close by. I just bought the Groupon deal for my next order. I solve the delivery problem by picking it up.

The only thing Pizzeria Brandi had going for it was convenience...when it no longer even offers that then there is no reason to go here. The last straw was when I ordered a couple of italian beefs and, after calling 1 hour and 20 minutes later, was told that they just lost the order. Here's my opinion - the pizza is greasy, the crust is gross and it is bland. Here's some facts - they have screwed up my order on 3 occasions. Next time I want an italian beef, I will just take the time to go to Freddy's in Bridgeport.

My review is bumped up to 3 stars only because of past experiences which have been good. Lately though... not so much. Recently ordered delivery of two of their specialty pizzas which both came late, cold and soggy. I understand the max two topping rule to insure perfect pizza, but these concoctions (which sounded good) are specifically on their menu so we wanted to try them. I'm sure they would have been good if they came in hot. You almost want to tell them not to have them on the delivery menu unless they could get it there in time. I've had their meatball sandwich which is pretty big and used to be good, but the last two times I ordered it they have come back dry. So, I'm not sure why the lack of attention to detail lately, but I think I've made my last order.

I have definitely had better....

I am a pizza lover. I probably have to have pizza at least once a week... at least. Seeing how pizzeria brandi was so close to us, I naturally had to try it. Now... I am a crazy cheese lover. I will actually melt cheese on a plate and eat it. Thats right. But their pizza was SO cheesy that I couldn't handle it. The cheese was just WAYYYY too thick and the quality wasn't right. I mean.. I ate it just cuz I needed my pizza fix... but ... Never Again.

Sorry pizzeria brandi.. you def didn't make the cut.

Tried the thin crust pizza and chicken wings...so disappointed with the food. The owners have a wonderful Italian restaurant in Oak Park, so I was extremely surprised at my recent experience.

My much delayed return trip, and I can say they fixed the fry issue by going with your run-of-the-mill pre-fab crinkle cut fries. Nothing special about them, but they are cooked right and now eatable. I can also report I actually got ketchup this time without even asking. I have also had a chance to sample a few bites of their 'za that a friend ordered, and it was pretty good. They get the 1-star upgrade to 3.

Never again. I should have known after calling and being put on hold indefinitely to give up on ordering pizza from this place but instead I decided I wanted something new and called back (to be put back on hold for 3 mins). I order my pizza at 6:40pm (the receipt was time stamped) and it arrived cold and plastic looking at 8:10pm. I called at about 7:30 and was told the driver would be there any second. When I called back at 8:00pm the man that answered said "would you like me to cal the driver to see if he got in an accident". When the driver finally arrived he made me come down to greet him at the door instead of using the buzzer and doing the elevator. He said it was because he didn't know the name but I paid by credit card and it is listed right on the receipt. Once I met him at the door he than requested that I go back up and get the coupon I had mentioned when placing the order. I understand this is customary and I have no issue with this but after waiting over an hour and a half for pizza delivery I couldn't believe I was getting anything but an apology. Long story short (ok not so short) the pizza was cold as you would expect and not worth the wait. Do yourself a favor and order from elsewhere.

I'm not sure why there is no love for Brandi. I am a big fan of their $3.00 slices of pizza. Just a short walk from the office, I can be in and out in under 5 min to pick up a slice to go. They put fresh packages of parmesan and crushed red pepper in the bag as well!

My office orders from here regularly but I cannot comment of their other foods, as I stick to the slices of cheese. Yum!

To my fellow south-loopers... Give Pizzeria Brandi a try regardless of the erratic reviews. We ordered in tonight and it was surprisingly yummy!

We had a thin slice pepperoni pizza and the chicken alfredo (baked with mozarella) and both were delish!

The pizza is covered in both sauce and cheese - the former of which is often overlooked - and the crust was crispy. The pasta was really tasty; I ordered it on a whim and am so glad I did. The chicken had a perfect grilled taste and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. Both were piping hot when they arrived!

I'm so glad we have a South Loop staple for those lazy work nights (and hungover Sundays).

After reading a lot of these reviews I was scared......but with such low hopes in mind I actually was pleasantly surprised. This place wasn't as terrible as everyone makes it out to be. The food was "ok". Certainly not amazing but wasn't terrible. I had the boneless chicken wings, fries and cookies. I've certainly had a lot worse then this place.

I love the pizza at Pizzeria Brandi. A large slice of sausage, pepperoni, cheese or spinach with a can of pop is just over $4. Pretty great lunch value. One night, I was feeling adventurous and ordered the boneless chicken wings. I assumed they'd be just any other frozen ball of breaded chicken with the sauce really doing the work. When they brought out my plate, I thought they were kidding. I had a plate of what was quite clearly a breaded chicken breast that had been cut into strips and covered with sauce. At least it tasted okay. The focaccia sandwiches are pretty great.

Nice, cozy little place!

Stopped in here after picking up dry cleaning at CD....should have gone to White Castle across the street for a number of reasons. Reason #1: ordered a simple hamburger that comes with fries. I aged 5 years waiting for it. And it was the most disgusting thing I have eaten in a long time. Reason#2: when asked for mustard on said hamburger was assured when hamburger came up that it had mustard already on it and they threw some catsup packets at me. They have NO mustard in the restaurant. They said. Reason #3: asked for a cup of ice. No icemaker in the restaurant. I should have walked out then and not even bothered to order.

This place seems rinky dink with some average window dressing and a clean seating area. BTW....the hamburger DID NOT have mustard on it. Only mayo. Who the F puts mayo on a hamburger? It is a serious question. Who does? Oh yea, Pizzeria Brandi. Never again......it was disgusting.

Wow, too bad I didn't read the reviews on http://GrubHub.com first so that I can say I was forewarned. Seriously some of the worst food I have EVER had!! And how do you screw up pizza? I think there is less oil being pumped into the Gulf than what came in my pizza box. *ralf*

Oh and by the way, cut up fried chicken patties DO NOT equal boneless chicken wings...and don't get me started on what equals Buffalo wings and what equals BBQ wings.

Bottom line: DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT!

So I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I walked in and ordered a 10 inch deep dish and the pizza did take a little bit longer to cook but it's cuz of how they make it.
The place had tables to sit down and eat but I got it "to go". When I got the pizza I took my first bite and it was very flavorful. It was a pepperoni, and yes there was a lot of cheese but that's what makes it a deep dish. The crust wasn't to crunchy (which I like) and the pizza was very filling. You don't need to eat a whole lot to get full. And the prices are very reasonable. Good place to stop by if your hungry and want some pizza for good price.

I was amused when I found this eatery on line today ... they have a Brandi Salad, a Brandi spinach special as well as a a Brandi special pizza & a Brandi Supreme pizza.

PLENTY Brandi to go around, boys!! .. wait ... oops... *never mind*

Anyway ....

There are some things that should only be consumed immediately (after it is made ... FRESH)

I discovered Gnocci roughly a year ago - since then, (elsewhere) I've had it fresh ... I've had it reheated from frozen (GROSS!).

When I saw Gnocci on their menu, I was *so* excited - When ordering, I was assured it was fresh. YAY!

The delivery fee was reasonable & was quick enough -- The meal was immense. When you order, the gnocci is served with a salad & a roll.

Those in the office decended like vultures ... everyone wanted to sample the gnocci ... WAIT! that's ... MINE .... ** peering at the NOW empty dish **

"What's yours? looks empty to me ...." ... DAMMIT..

GUESS who's *now* going on speed dial? (and NOT just because we share a name!!)

I'm kinda with Jason C. on this one.

First time here, my brother ordered a large sausage mushroom pizza deal and I got the grilled chicken sandwich and cheese fries.

Pizza was ok, but I've had better. The cheese fries had way too much cheese on it. The sandwich was ok, but bland. Had nice bread, the chicken wasn't dry, came with lettuce, tomato and mayo, but just lacking some flavor.

Today, went for lunch. We got the italian beef with fries and pop and meatball sub.

My guy said Italian beef was ok, but not much flavor, but bread was good. My meatball sub was massive. The meatballs were huge and like Jason C. said, it was hard to eat. It made the bread fall apart. Either I was eating bread or meatball, but hard to eat together. Also, bland.....no taste too it.

Good portions and the bread and quality is there, but BLAND!

I've had their thin crust pizza and it was fabulous! I've ordered from them twice, both times one their web site; once I had it delivered and the other time I picked it up. Both times it was ready exactly when they said it would be and was piping hot.

Just ick!

I ordered a deep dish pizza and a ceasar salad for delivery. The pizza was just aweful. The box was super greasy and had liquid running all over the bottom, I guess runny pizza sauce. The crust wasn't cooked, and the topics were minimal. The ceaser salad had maybe 4 croutons. The only thing they did right was get it to my place on time. Never again!

Pizza - they have deep dish, but thin is a better way to go here. The other food is good, not great. I gave it 4 stars due to the deals, great thin crust & effort to make it a sit down 'warm' place vs sterile.

Small place, but has table cloth tables & small tv.

It's the first time I check this place out and It's a solid 3 stars.
I had the hot and spicy jumbo shrimp (ok), Hot BBQ chicken wings (excellent), the lasagna (good) and the mozzarella sticks (ok).
I didn't get a chance to try the pizza which must be the specialty dishes. I will go back there to try some for sure.
The menu has a good selection and the price is decent. It's not too far from the south loop so I will definitely consider ordering a pizza for delivery there instead of Domino's.

Brandi is a somewhat new restaurant on Cermak a bit west of McCormick Place. I've driven past plenty of times. My girlfriend and I stopped in today to satisfy our pizza cravings.

I'm pretty impressed with their pizza selection. They have 4 or 5 different sizes, and the number of toppings available is mind boggling (they have artichoke hearts, something I've never seen available on a pizza but now really want to try)! We opted for the 14-in BBQ pizza, thin crust.

My biggest complaint about Chicago pizza places is most of them can't do a decent thin crust to save their life. Pizanos has excellent thin crust. Otherwise, the only place that seems to do it properly is Joe's way the hell out in Wheeling. Brandi makes their thin crust correctly, meaning it's thin and crispy, without that weird layer of uncooked dough most other places have. It's also not thick and bread-like (Giordanos). Thin, crispy, perfect.

The cheese was of a good quality and the toppings were fresh. Overall, we were happy with our pizza and will be back. I also noticed they have a huge menu of other items, like various types of wings (BBQ, hot, teriaki, etc.), burgers, beef sandwiches, other kinds of sandwiches, etc. They also deliver and you can place orders on their website.

My next plan is to place an online order for delivery.

After many different attempts, Brandi is now the go-to for pizza delivery for this Pilsenite. They have a deal for a 14 inch thin crust 1 topping for 9.95, you can't beat that. The crust is just right, crispy, but chewy enough so that it doesn't feel like a cracker. Lots of cheese and there are a wide variety of toppings (fresh garlic, fresh basil, ricotta, bleu cheese, etc.), always arrives in about 45 minutes.

i've been here a few times, and it's really only because it's not my day to choose lunch at work, or i'm tired of the few other places to eat in the neighborhood. getting a slice of pizza and a soda it supposed to be a cheap affair where the slice is the size of texas, but not here. you get a standard pizza hut-sized slice that's greasy as all get out for more than what you pay for at most other pizza joints. and that really goes for most of their menu too. if i was hung over and needed something less than stellar, i'd come here. thankfully, i'm rarely hung over during my lunch break.

bonus points for having cherry dr. pepper once. i'd bump it up to three stars if their supply was a little more consistent.

Southsiders must love cheese. I mean, this is the second time I've had pizza from a South side pizzeria, and they were both loaded with cheese, 1/4" thick for the cheese alone! My arteries were crying, but my tastebuds were slapping them to shut up!

The "deep dish" at Brandi is deceptive. It's a thin crust with just tall edges! The middle of the pie just sank and looked like the Brandi Special thin crust that we ordered. Not getting it again if that's their normal deep dish, but the Brandi Special thin crust was AMAZING. They don't skimp on toppings (sausage, mushroom, onions, cooked green peppers, and lots of cheese!), thus it's a thin crust (literally) that ends up 1" thick with all the toppings + cheese.
