Think "Cheers" the 1980's tv show - that's the best description I can think of. Great live bands Thurs - Sat. Best for the 30+ crowd that enjoys a good time with friends and meeting up with locals.  Terrific place to bring out-of-towners who want a local feel.
I can't really think of anything on the menu that isn't fantastic. Everything tastes great! My favorites are the Reuben Roll appetizers, Prime Rib Sandwich, Turkey & Avocado Croissant, and the dessert HAS TO BE the Bash Pie!
Seat yourself, outside patio and a private lounge in the back with a fireplace (yummy for winter nights!) If you're in Naperville for any amount of time, add this to your itinerary!

Nice place for a pub lunch.  You can hear yourself talk here at lunch time!  Lunch menu includes various sandwiches, burgers, and classics such as fish and chips, corned beef  and cabbage, and bangars and mash - which is what we had (the cited classics).

I have lived in the Naperville area for the past 10years and I passed Quigley's possibly 100 times.  I would always walk past thinking "I should go in there someday", yet I never did until very recently.  I wasted a lot of time and missed out by not visiting here sooner.

I've been to Quigley's now twice in the past couple weeks.  Each time I am greeted and my drink order is quickly taken.  I have never had to wait for long periods of time before my drink is refilled which is always nice.  I think this pub has a great selection of beers and various other liquors too.  Personally, I love cider beer and was thrilled to find out the Quigley's has Angry Orchard on tap.

On weekend evenings there is entertainment which is a big plus.  On week nights this place is very relaxed and casual.  There seem to be many regulars here too which make the atmosphere more homey as well.

I can't speak to the food because I've never eaten here, but I'm sure it's good.

If you haven't check out Quigley's yet, now is the time.  You will be glad you visited and it will quickly be added to your regular bar/pub rotation.

I will not go back to Quigleys. The "look" of the bar was neat but the live music is way too loud and not good. The crowd there is awkward, and what kind of bar does not include tequila as a well liquor? Save your money and make your own drinks at home.

It's crowded on the weekends.  It's pricey for beers.  But you're in downtown Naperville, and you're at (probably) the most popular bar in town.

I've probably been here 100 times, and the staff has never been anything but nice to me and the people I'm with.  The Guinness Beef is the best I've ever had.  (I can't comment on anything else because its all I get now)  You can't ask for a better Guinness pour in Naperville, and the bar itself has live music every Thurs, Fri and Sat night.  Never a cover.

I can't really think of a way to improve it, it's my favorite bar in Naperville.  I guess I just have a hard time seeing eye-to-eye with people giving it a bad review because of the crowd or noise.  It's a business, that's the idea.

    Come enjoy this place.

    Perfect Irish Pub :-)

Drinks are reasonable for Naperville, and the crowd is always friendly. I haven't had the food before, but the night-time weekend scene is cool. They often have live bands on the weekend.

Hahaha now that I joined yelp I can get my revenge on this place for changing how they cook their food.
First a little background I started coming here in the early 2000s and fell head over heels for their delicious, juicy, mouth watering burgers.  I always ordered them rare and they cooked it to absolute perfection every time.  I was truly in heaven and Quigley's was my favorite place for burgers and I told everyone they were the best .  I came here for years because I was addicted to those juicy delicious mouthwatering burgers, just thinking about how it used to be right now makes my mouth water.

So what the hell happened!!!!?????  One day I came in here a few years back and my burger was overcooked !!!!!!  Ok I thought maybe it's just an error, restaurants make mistakes.  I ate the damn thing and said I will just come back another day.  I returned again, and uggghhhhh!!! Another damn dry tasteless burger, what the heck was going on!!!!!????  I gave it yet another chance and blaaahhh again I was served a dry not so great tasting burgers.  I actually studied this dry mass of beef and discovered it was more medium than anything.  I thought to myself medium burgers can actually be tasty if they are cooked right and you get a quality cut of meat.  Then I drew a conclusion, they either got a new head chef or got new beef or both.  Either or I was not impressed and mad that such a great place went to s**t.  But the prices are the same, how dare they!!!!  I think they only care about getting Naperville fluff balls drunk or their stupid "Irish" drinks or Heineken.  Too much attention on being a bar no longer care about FOOD!

1 star for is being ok food, no longer awesome food, 1 star for good service, minus 1 star for taking a step back, minus 1 star for having just "ok" food, minus 1 star for charging the same prices for lower quality.

I hate you Quigley's you let me down!

A great looking Irish pub. Plenty of private seating around bar and most nights they seem to have music on the bill. This place is a block West of downtown and I was pretty much impressed with the layout and look of an authentic Irish pub. The drinks were not bad either.

We used to come here a lot a few years ago and until recently, I hadn't been in in probably 5 years.  This last time was with a sizeable group and we had a hard time finding a place to fit in comfortably inside.  It was a bit cold for outside but we made it work at one of the bigger spots with some tables pushed together.  Service was just ok and the selections were fine for the group of us.  It's hard to figure out who the customer base is, which feels a little odd.  Noise is moderate though the last time were in, there weren't that many people inside, so that might have helped a bit/.  It has been very noisy in the past.  We'll probably be back but I think it's better for 6 people or less.

I honestly feel that this place is just ok. We go to Quigley's quite a bit, because the only other real outdoor patio is Jimmy's, and that place sucks, for lack of a better term.

I like their Irish Chips, but sometimes they are mushy and that just ruins the whole experience.

Their Leek & Potato soup is definitely yummy. And they have something like a reuben eggroll, and that think is awesome. But other than that... I think everything else is GOOD, just not out of this world.

They have ok bar and Irish food. I do love the atmosphere for lunch or dinner. But once a band shows up, you either need to sit outside or leave in order to have a conversation with anyone. The bands are always WAY TOO LOUD.

Oh yeah, and you can bring your dog to the patio! :)

In keeping with the Gaelic terminology "Craic" meaning good conversation, good music and food, and great people, Quigley's will not let you down.  The first time I came here, I really thought I was in a pub in Dublin.  Upon exploring the history of the bar, I was thrilled to see that the reason it had such an authentic feel was because it was an actual pub from Dublin that was dismantled and brought all the way here.  Whether you're enjoying the outdoor patio or choose to sit by the fireplace, at the bar or in one of the private booths, you will feel like you can enjoy yourself for as long as you please.

What brought me back to Quigley's was their Reuben Rolls: Egg rolls stuffed with corned beef, cabbage, and Swiss cheese. Served with Killarney sauce and brown mustard.  I have never, ever, ever had anything like the Reuben Roll. They are sooooooooooooooo good and I can't help but wonder who was the genius behind them.  The rolls are enough reason to go to Quigley's.  However, I thought I should probably eat a proper lunch too.  So, I chose the  Cajun Chicken Sandwich (I'd had enough Corned Beef in my egg roll).  It was a grilled chicken breast fillet with Cajun spices, topped with Monterey Jack cheese, spicy 1000 Island dressing, roasted red peppers and lettuce on a sesame seed bun.  For my side, I chose the multi-grain couscous salad.  It was surprisingly delicious.  The dried cranberries in the couscous was a nice touch and their sweetness complimented the savoriness of the rest of my meal.

My bf had the Cajun Angus Burger.  It was half-pound Angus burger seasoned with Cajun spices and topped with sauteed mushrooms, grilled onions and Mozzarella cheese. He chose the Irish chips as his side.  The burger was juicy, delicious, and LARGE.  He actually had a hard time eating it even though he cut it in half.  The Irish Chips were round cut and deep fried (duh!), and I just couldn't put my finger on the flavor they were seasoned it.  Kinda reminded me of Old Bay's seasoning.  The fries were served with the same Killarney sauce the Reuben Rolls came with and this is another mysterious entity that I can't quite put my finger on for the flavor.  Regardless, the fries and sauce were delicious.

Our server was friendly, she made sure that our drinks were always full and constantly kept an eye on us.  It showed that they care about the needs of their patrons and want to ensure that you are having the best time possible.

So, if you're in the mood for some authentic Irish ambiance but unable to cross the pond known as the Atlantic Ocean for it, a drive to Downtown Naperville is a more viable option :).

If I'm being dragged against my will to the old stompin' grounds of downtown naperville, this is my nighttime stop. Potters and Quig's for the win! The food is pretty good, and there are always attentive and friendly wait staff, even when its a madhouse. Having the parking garage across the street is a friday/saturday night godsend.

This place was wonderful. Everything that you want out of an Irish Pub, you'll find here. The friendly service, guinness, live music, chill atmosphere that can change to upbeat and fun at any second. I loved it. I wish I lived closer to it because it would be my spot.

Also lovely outdoor seating : ) Why wouldn't you want to go to a place where you can sit outside and drink with your dog?

p.s. our server was Tim and he was fabulous : )

    Um, not so much.

At about 3:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, five of us walk into Quigley's for a late lunch. There is a sign to seat ourselves which surprised me as there was a lot of staff standing around. I wandered ahead and around the corner looking for a spot to seat the five of us and someone directed me to a spot. It was cramped for five, but whatever. There was a tv that my hubby & father in law could see, so it was fine.

Immediately, I noticed that the table and floor were sticky. Ick. The menus didn't exactly have a clean feeling either. Our waitress was ok. Not interested in doing much more than standing around the corner from us and gabbing.

There are plenty of options which is nice, but since it was an off time for a meal, my hubby and I decided to split an appetizer of irish potato skins. My son ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. My father in law had a burger with cheese and his wife tried the shepherds pie. We should have sent back the potato skins. We ordered them without tomatoes, but somehow I think the bacon was missing. Not that it mattered because the gloppy mess had coagulated cheese all over so if there was bacon there was no way to find it. We pulled off the cheese mess and ate three of the four little potato pieces ($8.20 by the way). My son ate most of his sandwich. The burger was fine. The shepherds pie arrived and she nibbled at it, but it was lacking flavor so that was not the highlight at the table. We added two cups of soup to the meal and it was so salty that it was not palatable.

On to the ambiance...you wanna know right? A young employee walked through the dining area, next to our table and pulled his black Quigley's shirt off over his head while announcing that it's 'beer o'clock' and promptly sitting down at the bar to knock back a few cold ones. Beer o'clock huh?  Maybe we should have been chugging beers to knock us into a stupor so we could have overlooked this less than pleasant afternoon.

Since moving to Naperville from the city, we have been in search of a casual, laid back place to grab a beer with our baby boy in tow.  We checked out Quigley's this weekend and sat out on the patio enjoying the warm temperatures.  The atmosphere was really nice -- it was a good mix of couples of all ages, families, groups of friends, and even some friendly dogs.  The other patrons on the patio were really friendly and many people stopped to exchange smiles with our son.  The service was friendly although a little on the slow side.  I've been here before and think the food is nothing to write home about, so I wouldn't necessarily choose this as a dining destination.  But if you're looking for a nice patio to sit outside enjoying the weather and sipping on a Guiness, I recommend Quigley's.

I never have a bad time at Quigley's.  It seems to be a good mix of 20-something college students and 30 to 40-something Napervillians, which works out to a decent enough crowd.  I like that it's more laid back than most of the bars in downtown Naperville. The drinks are good and the live music is nice.  I've never gotten any food but the menu seems small and on the expensive side, so I probably won't.

Quigley's is a comfortable place to meet some friends and one of my favorite nightspots in Naperville.

My daughter and I had dinner here last night in the midst of the big snow storm.  It was the perfect cozy setting in front of the fire in the "cigar room".  I had the Irish lamb stew which was really good, great comfort food.  My daughter had a huge hot chocolate complete with whip cream on top and the mac and cheese bites which are always a winner with her.  Our waitress was great, very sweet and attentive.

My only complaint was the loud and whiny twosome who sat next to us.  They kind of put a damper on the atmosphere.

We enjoy Quigley's, especially in the better weather when we can sit outside with our dog.  We will definitely be back.

Ive been here a number of times and always have a nice time here...but you can get lost in the crowd.  The little nooks and crannys at the bar can swallow you  and unless you say somthing like HEY, OVER HERE, you wont get served.  The corned beef rolls are the BEST EVER.  I always get them when I go there.  Actually, I believe that is the only food item Ive ever had there.
Nice 'little' spot in downtown Naperville.

Met a friend here today, and the patio was packed with people and dogs, but the inside was practically empty so we took a seat inside. It's a cute bar! Love the decor and furnishings.

The menu seems pretty eclectic, I had a blackened chicken wrap which was nice. The fries are delish (I recommend a side of sour cream for dunking. Also, I'm not skinny). The beer list is pretty long but nothing out of the ordinary, pretty decent selection though.

The waitress was sweet and attentive, so yay for her too!

I came here on a Friday night after 9pm with a few of my coworkers.  It was very packed and had a lot of regulars.  There is live entertainment several times a week.  The decor is awesome especially the room with the fireplace and book shelves. They section off the main floor so you can have some feel of privacy. Servers comes to you in the pub too so you don't have to wait at the bar for drinks.  Though it must be duly noted that it takes a while for the servers to come back once she takes your order and probably because they were so busy.

This month is $3.50/ 20 oz Coors Lite.  I decided to try some of their wings that was a $7 medium size of 8 pieces.  The wings tasted OK and not too bad but I had to wait about what felt like 20 minutes for my order.  I would need to try more dishes to conclude.

I would try this place again once in a while to just enjoy some music and late night eats.  It's loud and not very ideal for chatting and is crowded on weekends but it's a great place to just hang back.

I want to be somewhere that I can wear knee high socks for eight hours and be surrounded by nothing but wood.

That came out wrong in every way, so lets get back to the point.

I'm not too sure where I stand with Quigley's. I like the aspect that it's an Irish pub in little ol' Naperville but dont' know if this would be a place I'd frequent unless it was a hankering for a Black and Tan that wouldn't be shushed.

The seating is scattered and for the most part pretty private and secluded, excluding sitting at the bar. There's lots to choose from, booths, stools to tables they've got.

A pretty standard pub that has their waitresses donning the knee high socks as if you were at a futbol match and they were delivering your drinks to your seats in the VIP section...though Quigley's isn't VIP.
Pub fare that is fit for the likes of any game day with a pint in tow and creaky wood floors that puts this litle diddy on the mark for a hangout in casual form.

Casual but not really my cup of tea. I love nothing more than to slink away into a pub so long as there is good convos, plenty of seating and a vibe that is inviting. For some reason I just couldn't find that here. It didn't seem like a place that I would want to sit at after work trying to unwind after dealing with another work disaster but then again I could be way off base. It was a Tuesday night, later, and pretty packed so this has potential for a repeat performance.

With the patios beginning to open up and the sun staying out later on school nights, Quigley's may be in line for another test run. Because I really do want a Black and Tan!

Oh Quigleys how I love you so!  Your happy hour makes me smile and you had me at Stella on draft!
This pub rules in the summer with a beautiful courtyard which welcomes all your lovely furry friends and it rocks in the chilly winter months with it's easy chairs and fireplaces.
The back room has a romantic spot perfect for couples with a couple of beers!
Soccer is a big hit here, a small amount of tvs, not too bothersome.
I fell in love with my husband here.  That makes it special for me!

I'm right in the middle with this place.  After a long day my boyfriend and I were hungry and thirsty! We decided to check this place out.  We liked the fact that it was out of the hustle and bussle of downtown Naperville, because we really weren't in the mood to deal with the douche bags and high school kids that come along with the area.

We walked up and decided to sit outside because it was really nice out.  We like the little beer garden in the front, it was cute.  We did peek our heads in for a moment to use the bathroom.  The inside was pretty empty, but it was a Monday night.  I'm always a fan of irish decor.. so the design of the place was pretty neat-o.  We also found the history of the building interesting.

However, the esthetics of the place were probably the best part of our experience.  The first thing that was irritating, that has been happening a lot lately, is asking what I want to drink when I sat down at an empty table with no drink list, beer list, anything.. Being an indecisive person and not knowing the place, it'd be nice to know what you got before you ask me what I'd like.

Also, I usually like the cliental at homie irish bars, but the patio at Quigley's was filled with a variety of slightly annoying and inconsiderate people.  One table was filled with what seemed to be 40-50 year olds who lived around the area who all brought their DOGS! Shocked by the fact that people had their dogs on the patio of a bar/pub, I saw they weren't the only table who brought their dogs...  there was at least 2 other tables.  I don't know if Quigley's promotes bringing your pet, but it was so strange to me.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE PUPPIES and wanted to say hi and pet them.. but I also want to enjoy the night and have a good time without having a dog lick my feet as I walk by.

The other tables on the patio consisted of young, industry people, who were loud, swearing, and smoking on the patio (which to my knowledge is illegal??).  Either way, as a non-smoker, it was pretty inconsiderate.

Now- besides the fact that I wasn't too pleased with my surrounding peeps, our waitress was very nice and busy!  We didn't receive the best service because our waitress apparently had every single table on the patio.  As people who have worked in the industry, it didn't bother us that things took a bit longer because she was doing a really good job of balancing all the tables, also, the manager was very helpful and nice as well.. he brought out our food and offered us more drinks when our server was busy.

The food was ok.  Not the best I've had, but it wasn't horrible.  It was really what I expected from a little irish bar, it's not like I was going out to get some top of the line food.  We started with the nachos which were not my fave, but as long as they have jalapenos on them, I can make it work.  By the time our meals came, I had the pulled pork, my boyfriend had shepards pie, I was really too stuffed to even start.

Overall, the place isn't bad.. it just wasn't my absolute favorite.  I guess it's really what I expected.

I was in desperate need of a pub for the World Cup match with the US. vs. England. I had called every Irish pub/bar in the area. Believe it or not, no one really had any specials running for the day (or no one was willing to take the time to explain them). Then I called Quigley's and not only had WC specials but the manager (I believe his name was Chris) took the time to explain everything that was occurring during the tournament.

That alone, made my decision for me. I knew where my ass would be come Saturday. Believe it or not, this was the first time I've ever been to a pub for breakfast. I was hoping to score the Irish breakfast, but at 8:30 in the morning there was only a limited menu available. Why was I there at 8:30 for a 1:30pm game? Because the place was almost filled by 9:30. Who knew people in America love soccer. I went with the corned beef hash and eggs. The hash was good but the eggs were a little runny. I could've ordered a pint at this point but c'mon I had to drive at some point.

By noon time, we were ready for lunch. A Guinness BBQ burger and a pint of ol' Guinness was in order for me. The burger was really good and it was cooked just the way I wanted it. The Guinness was poured correctly and the crowd/atmosphere was awesome. Top that off with great service from the waitress and it was a blast for Saturday morning and afternoon. I have found a great pub for my World Cup viewing. After the tournament, I know I will be coming back here again as well.

I'm surprised people only think this place is simply OK. I am in love. My only real problem with it is the price. It is a bit steep, but not any crazier than most places that don't even offer half the atmosphere and have sub-standard bar food. Two people going nuts on appetizers, drinks and food set my shoe purchasing power back $80 when all was said and done.

Wednesday night was pretty hopping. They had a live band playing great southern music, a little bluegrass, some funk and a mix of 90s hits. I like choices and everything they played was great.

Our waiter, Ryan was the greatest. He was always there to take our orders and even though they didn't have any cider on tap, he was more than willing to help me out with my Snake Bite jones. A bottle of Magner's and a Guinness later, I was sipping happily.

The food is amazing. A-MAZ-ING, ya hear? Their stuffed potato skins are overflowing with bacon, onions and cheese. The Reuben rolls are out of this world. Think a Reuben sandwich without the bitter sauerkraut. They have cabbage alright, but they don't just roll it up and call it a day. No, my friend. They stuff that little sucker into an egg roll. I don't even like egg rolls that much and I was wolfing these bad boys down.

Their soups are a'ight, not Irish enough to be authentic and not crazy enough to be considered ethnic inspired. My jerk chicken soup tasted like a creamy gumbo. I barely touched it and the waiter noticed. He got me a new soup to try, which was the potato lentil. It was just slightly better. The taste was a bit too similar to garlic powder. They could improve in that area.

The stew! THE STEW! You got to get it! Go with the Shepard's Pie or Lamb Stew. Both are cooked to perfection. I am still not entirely sure what all is in the lamb stew, but I'm not one to think too much about these things. All I know is that it is delicious. It comes with chunks of celery, potato, carrots and meaty morsels of lamb. If it had been any fresher it would have been a fetus.

I just can't get into this place. Not physically, just metaphysically.

It could be a fun little Irish pub-y place but instead it's packed to the brim with cougars and wandering eye husbands, so so service, mediocre food, and a pretty okay beer list.

I gave up on eating here long ago, long before I became a vegetarian and they didn't have much food for me anyway. Their beer selection includes $6.50 pints of cider (what? It's cheaper in the city), Guinness, Bud and Miller products, and many more generic things. Their website lists a ton more beer but their beer list on each table only has about 8 choices so I went with 312... which I'm pretty sure she gave to someone else and I got some body's poopy Miller Lite. It was bad... very chemically enhanced and my glass had crud stuck to the side of it but since our server didn't come back for quite a while I just went with it.

I've been here a few times where they had some really great bands but, it's been a while since I went on a music night.

I think I'm going to try going back on a trivia night to see how it is and if I can get a better beer. Maybe just stick with some Fat Tire next time around.

This is a great place to go to on a Saturday in the middle of the day.  We especially enjoy going to Quigley's during warmer weather as we can sit on the patio and also bring our 2 lovely dogs with us.  The staff will usually bring a bowl of water for our dogs.

The food is decent and the beers are great.  I don't really enjoy this place as much when it's completely crowded.  I like a more quiet atmosphere so that I can actually carry on a conversation with friends.

The kind of pub we have been searching for...it really reminded us of Ireland.  The beer, music, food, and people-watching was great.

I love that this place is hidden away from all the mainstream traffic of downtown Naperville, only locals will know about it.  I can't wait to try the outdoor seating...I'm all about it...guess I will have to wait until next summer.

P.S.  Did not like the dessert, but what do you expect...it's a pub.  Anyways, it was a drunk move :)

Pretty good beer selection. The outdoor patio is nice when I want to actually hear what someone is saying. Over all fun atmosphere.

Due to the underage drinking epidemic in this country Quigley's feels it needs to take extra precautions when serving alcohol to anyone under 40. Really Quigley's? You're an Irish pub....IRISH. The state of Illinois allows up to THREE MONTHS for someone to update their license after turning 21. Quigley's feels this policy to be ridiculous and sets their own TWO WEEK timetable. That's fine Quigley's I tell everyone to enjoy Naperville's other fine establishments for the next 2.5 months.

Full of character and a great place to take company.  The patio outside is perfect for warmer days when who doesn't want a pint outside?  Inside is quaint but can get pretty loud for conversation when there is a band playing.  They also allow dogs outside on the patio if that is a concern for you.

I once saw a dog sitting on a chair at a high top.  Sort of disturbing but after a pint or two you won't care so much.

My favorite things to order are cucumber sandwiches, or the spinach and potato salad.  I love that they don't just have greasy pub food here.  Great choice if kicking it in Naperville.

The only reason they didn't get the fifth star is because of the dogs.  Sorry dogs, I love you but not when I'm dining out.

One of the better bars in downtown Naperville. Its not filled with your typical Naperville douchebag. It  has an older mature crowd. Gotta love the Irish beer selection, which of course has to include Guiness!

The place is really big with outside seating and even a cigar room. Not cheap, not expensive. Its cool that they have live music playing on certain nights but I think that was the main downside. It was really loud and it was hard to talk. I wish it was a bit quieter so it was more chill.

I tried to go here on a recent Friday night, and ended up walking away because the place was MOBBED, and with the "seat yourself" policy I figured i'd never get a table or if I did, I'd never be found by the server. Not to mention the fact that it was deafening in there! Not my answer to unwinding after a long week, so I passed.

Nonetheless, my family likes pub grub, so this week-end when the clan converged, Quigley's came up as an option for a late lunch/early dinner on Sunday, when it was less likely to be so blasted noisy. Attempt #2 was more successful, but I still wouldn't say it was great.

I had the fish and chips (my yardstick for any pub), which came on an oblong tray oddly reminiscint of those for modern TV dinners (except not plastic); the fare was only a bit elevated above that level as well. The three sticks of battered cod were okay, but not very exciting, and certainly not the best fish and chips fish I have had. The "chips" were cut into coins and were rather mushy in the centers, no discernable seasoning (I liberally applied s&p tableside to give them pep). Overall, rather disappointing.

I also had a cup of the potato-leek soup, which was a nice change from the baked potato soup you see at most places these days. This was thinner, the flavor of the leeks prominent, with small cubes of potatoes plentifully supplied. Tasty and unique.

Our waiter (though cute, hee!) was just perfunctory, and was not quick on the uptake with things like empty water glasses.

Quigley's does have live music some times, but looking at their web site, it looks like (for the current two month sampling shown anyway) that it is all rock cover bands! Whaa? I certainly hope that an Irish pub would have some Celtic music now and again. If not, that is a damn shame.

The atmosphere is nice: some high-backed booths (to promote privacy), stained glass, and lots of tapestry barstools to alight upon -- but again, this was squelched on the crazy Friday because of the sheer noise and confusion.

My ultimate thought is that you can do better; there are plenty of pubs in the Chicago area, so why settle for the split personality of loud & crazy/disengaged & mediocre?

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This is my favorite place to start an evening in downtown Naperville. Here are the 3 top reasons"
    1. They have a good hard cider on draft for $5 a glass; not too shabby
    2. Some of the bartenders are legit Irish: one really cute one, too who was excellent with his service.
    3. Variety of places to sit and/or stand. They have a cozy back room for conversation. Fun, private wooden booths. Spacious beer garden.

All in all, great place. Haven't eaten there yet, and I probably won't (can't afford food if I'm drinking in NaperVegas).

Quigley's is a staple for the North Central College crowd and one of the more casual places to spend an evening in the midst of downtown Naperville's more upscale offerings like Hugo's Frog Bar, Catch 35, Sullivan's and such. The atmosphere is a lively one and quite intimate given the confined size of the place. I am not the social dilettante at the bar, alas, but usually someone seated inside a cozy booth chatting with my friends or husband, and I find it comfortable enough.

The food options aren't extensive but the quality is good. You won't go wrong with one of the filling options like a reuben, the shepherd's pie, or a regular old hamburger. Plenty of alcoholic options for the regular pubbers, though the cider leaves a bit to be desired. The stuff they carry I find is too dry, on the whole, and prefer to settle back with a cup of tea, a pint of Guinness (can't go wrong there!) or such.

Quigley's has average prices and the parking lot across the street is conveniently placed but fills up pretty quick.

    Ah, Quigley's.

Always a pleasure at Quigley's. I have been here a few times and every time I come there is always a live band. The environment is very welcoming and it seems like I can always find a seat at the bar or at a table with a few of my chums. If you are in Naperville, check out the Quigley's.

I can't believe that I haven't yelped about this place yet.  This is a great bar and I always have a good time here.  On the weekends, they usually have a good band playing.  The atmosphere is very intimate to say the least, it's small but there's always a good crowd.  They have some great beers on tap, I hope that you didn't come here for a Miller Lite or Bud Light.  To add to the authenticity of this place, it also comes with Irish accented servers!

If I come, it's usually a weekend at night for sole drinking purposes but I have made it down for lunch a couple of times.  Once, I ordered the ribs lunch and you are getting a plateful for the lunch price.  The sauce is interesting in a good way.  A bit sweet & tangy but not one that I have tried before.  Every once in a while, they advertise in the Clipper Magazine so you maybe able to find a lunch coupon for buy one, second half off, or something like that.

A fairly decent place to hang out.  That decor is beautiful.  The rumor is that they spent $1million importing the woodwork and craft labor to build the inside from Ireland.  I don't know if that is true, but it a good story. They have good selection of draft beers.

The food is pretty good - for bar food.  They have a good PB&J.  The pub fries are good (sliced red potatoes, I believe).  The mini rubens are yummy.  The shepherds pie is the perfect thing to fill your belly on a chilly autumn day.  Fish and chips is good, too.

It can be a little smoky and the music can be too loud. You can always move to the back of the bar or another room if you are not comfortable.  What bar isn't that way?

I haven't been able to figure out the crowds; sometimes you get a bunch of older barflies.  Then it seems to be packed with young co-eds.  Sometimes it's crowded; other times it's empty.  I am sure there's a pattern; but I have not figured it out.  One day that it always busy is March 17.  They line up before the doors open.

Quigley's has live entertainment on Thur, Fri and Sat.  ** One of my favorites is Mighty Joe (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mightyjoemusic.com&s=a631c1ba0bbdab3b12327ec32db2d007da95f334d24a9e249e1bad1afb067eac" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.mightyjoemusi…</a>) - who plays thoughtful and fun acoustic guitar (two of his best are: We All Became Alcoholics and Stairway to Freebird).  Sometimes they have karaoke, if you are into that sort of thing (not that there is anything wrong with that!).

The patio is very nice - fresh air and not as loud.  They have heaters to keep you warm on chilly nights.

A pint at Quigley's is a must on any Naperville pub-crawl.

A great little place on Jefferson in downtown Naperville.  We have enjoyed going here each time and can't really say anything bad about it.. I give it 4 stars because sometimes it can be a bit on the heavy smoke side (cigars are allowed in certain areas there) but what do you get going to a bar, right?

It is also pretty small.  You can't always get a table or stools to sit on if you are there later at night.

I have only eaten there once but thought it was delicious. :)
