The Renaissance Room is a lab restaurant for the LCC Culinary Arts program. Â They use good ingredients, the coffee is from Wandering Goat, milk they use is local Lochmead milk. Â They have an organic learning garden and whatever they have in the garden, they try to utilize. Â It is a classroom restaurant, so seating is limited and service hours are short. Â But if you get lucky, you can have a great meal with very reasonable prices. Â They always have bread, salad, soup, entree and dessert. Â It is open to the public, so anyone can go, but I would recommend checking with them beforehand if they are open. Â I had some great bread and a salmon dish. Â You have to be prepared to wait -- it is a lab school, after all. Â Food can be really good or so-so, it depends on the student who is cooking. Â But all in all, I think it is a great deal.
