Wow, my first 'Devon' experience!! Â It won't be my last.
Sabri looks more formal than it is. It's actually a pretty casual vibe once you sit down. Â Second of all, for you dumb whities like me, this place is officially Pakistani. Â The Alcohol is a Sin. Â So don't walk in with a bottle of Jack assuming it's BYO. Â Not that I tried to, I'm just saying.
The food is fantastic, really. Â The paratha was massive, like large-pizza big, and sooo good. Naan was great also.
I should also say that I went with my buddy who's Indian, and he ordered most of our entrees. Family style is definitely the way to go. Â You can try more stuff that way and the portions are huge besides! Â
I'm quite sure we had the Chicken Tikka Boti, which was all our favorite. Yes, its supposed to be a shade neon pink. Â No don't ask why, it's obviously cooler that way. And, it has nothing to do with the taste. Â We has a couple other kinds of chicken and some Dal, that was really runny, good with rice.
Basically you can blind point and be a successful orderer in this place. Everything tasted very good. Â And for those of you who can't handle the heat, I in fact CAN, they'll work with you on the spice. Â
Can't wait to go back sometime.
This is supposed to be one of the best places to dine on Devon...but wait staff is really rude. Â I tried to cater from them, I supposed I called at the wrong time because the waiter told me that I should've known better than to call on a Friday night because it was so busy. Â I, personally, find this type of treatment unacceptable--and I didn't cater from them! Â Don't plan on going there any time soon...if you want the same type of food (and better service) go to Usmania. Â They have better prices, too!
