This place hit the spot. I had not had korean bbq in awhile. And the galbi that came out for us had such great flavor. That alone made the night for me. They were great with the service helping us flip the meat and cut it up.

I'm not a big Korean BBQ person, and it's probabaly because I've never had such a great experience as I did last night at Seoul BBQ.  I'm out in Denver visiting my sister for the first time and was told that the Korean food out here is pretty good.  So, to Seoul BBQ we went, and I was definitely impressed with the offereings.

We did BBQ Combination A for three people, which included various meats, a soondubu jjigae, vegetable pancake, egg souffle, and soju/Hite for $69.99.  Of course, this came with the 14 banchan sides and Korean tea.  We also ordered the japchae. Everything was delicious.  I've never gone to a Korean restaurant where there were so many banchan sides provided.  We actually received 15 different sides because they ran out of potato salad and gave us tofu salad - yummy!!  What a wonderful surprise!!

I've had Korean BBQ in Boston and even New York City, and it didn't compare to this place at all, both for the offerings and price.

We were four adults with two babies and was given a room that normally seats 8 people.  That was a very nice accommodation for us as we didn't want the babies too close to the BBQ grill.

This place looks a lot like the places in Cali that I"ve been too. I love their private rooms/section. Very accommodating for large groups. Its not all you can eat but has combinations to share with large parties. Great side dishes and was willing to refill them (not sure if it was extra tho). Rice was extra. All the meats are good quality. The ones that were to be marinated was done well. Definitely an authentic Korean restaurants.

Best Korean restaurant in Denver.  When I came in, I was really surprised at how trendy the place looked.  Totally was not expecting that.  Even their music selection was trendy and I'm not saying they have PSY Gangnam style playing non stop either.
I think with all Korean restaurants, your mileage may vary on the type of service you receive.  It always helps to have someone who speaks Korean.  In this case it was my parents.  However, please note that they also have a button you can press if you are in need of service.  Don't be shy, they didn't put the button their for you to be modest and not touch it.
The Ban Chan selection was very good and to my surprise as we gobbled it down, they noticed it and replenished what was eaten.
The cuts of bulgogi and galbi (a short rib cut) were really tender and the marinade was very good.
Now that I've been to this place, I find it hard to go to any other for BBQ.

If Aurora is the place for the best Korean BBQ in the Denver metro, Seoul BBQ is the best place in Aurora! You have to have at least two people to order the BBQ (which is BBQed on the round grill on the table, with the help of your server), and it comes with 14 little side dishes. If you don't want to tackle the BBQ, the Bi Bim Bop is excellent. They also have sushi, which I haven't tried and anyway most people are leaning over the grill licking their chops. There is excellent service, just don't over order, which can easily happen.

Their food was excellent and well-priced. The problem was that the place was freezing. We asked for a different table and they said 'no'. I would go back because i loved the menu, but i would not go back in winter!

Lots of paan-chaan (side dishes).  Meat was great quality.  Service was slow.  You have to use the ringer to get service.  Had to wait 15 minutes to get seated due to lunch rush.

Interior is great.  I would go again.

I'm very impressed with the Korean food in Denver!  My in-laws said that the restaurants have really upped their game lately so I'm glad to hear that even if the competition isn't as intense as in LA.

I got the soondae-guk which is beef bone broth with blood sausage (soondae).  Typically you eat this dry with salt but in this dish, it's crumbled up.  It doesn't taste as disgusting as it sounds and I can barely taste the blood.  My MIL thought this was a little on the salty side but I didn't think so.  You actually add salt and other pastes to the broth to your liking and even being generous, I thought it was just fine.  Adding rice to the dish also dilutes it a little.

I also tried the gam ja tang (pork bone soup) which we never see at Korean restaurants in NorCal.  It is a flavor explosion because there is a lot of garlic, a lot of pepper, and a lot of spice... but not to the point where it gets unpleasant to eat.  You can tell just by looking at the picture how intense this dish is.  The meat on the bones were also pretty tender.  Both dishes are perfect for the cold weather.

This is a big restaurant and one of the few, non-fast food, quality places open on Christmas Day for dinner.  It's good for groups and service is fast.  Side dishes were all very fresh and delicious.  My favorites were the kabocha squash, spicy marinated squid, and sweet potato.  This is where you can tell what direction your meal will take and it was definitely a positive one.  The Korean bbq also looks delicious here when as passed by the rectangular plates of meat on peoples' tables.

Being from LA, I'm spoiled with many Kbbq places to eat at. This place is on par with LA Kbbq! I loved the 14, yes 14 side dishes (which I had the option of refilling as many times as I wanted since the awesome waiter came by almost 15 times the whole time I was there to ask if I needed anything else). Plenty of meat options to choose from. 2 orders of meat minimum to use the grill, or the kitchen will grill the meat for you. I ordered the seafood bean paste soup which I thought was better than most of the bean paste soups I'm use to in LA. I'm definintely visiting this place again if in the area.

Their banchan is just amazing.  I had stewed Galbi, Grilled Pork belly, Bibimbap, BIBIM-NENGMYUN, Pa jeon, and other soup.  All quite good.  Service was very friendly too.

Upping my rating of Seoul BBQ by another star after finally giving them a try for barbecue at dinner. Previously, we had only come here for lunch.

We were impressed. The marinated kalbi was excellent, and the chadolbaegi (thinly-sliced beef) was very good as well. We actually walked out NOT smelling like barbecue, which isn't always the case at Korean places!

We've been kicking ourselves for not coming to Seoul BBQ for dinner earlier, and will definitely be back again soon.

The BEST Korean BBQ in town, just like my mama used to make it!  Stop in during the week for their lunch special but get there early because they're busy by noon and then you're forced to sit and smell all the delicious aroma while you wait for your table! Service is good and the restaurant is clean.

3.0 stars for the solid food and the half star is for the excellent ban chans...there's so many of them!  With a bowl of rice, they would've been a meal onto themselves.  We weren't that hungry, so we ordered the chicken bulgogi to bbq and then an order of 12 sashimi with the roe bowl.  I really enjoyed all of it.  It's not the best I've ever had, I felt that the raw fishes were just average in quality.  They were a touch dry so that they didn't impart that almost buttery melt in your mouth texture that the higher quality fish does.  And as for value, it's just average, too.  So where Seoul BBQ really stands out is for the large number of ban chans.  Still, the food here is solid, and I imagine from reading the other reviews that it does not get better than this.  Service was excellent, too.

Love this place.  It's my new "go to" for Vietnamese food.  As much as I like Silla, this place has it beat.  The service is outstanding and portions plentiful.  I only wish I lived closer as I really have to be in the mood to drive 20 miles each way for dinner.

I must agree with Theresa B.

    THE. BEST. BANCHAN. SPREAD. PERIOD!

14 banchans, every single one was tasty. We ordered the BBQ Combination A that came with Galbi (beef short ribs), Sam Gyup Sal (pork belly), Chadol Baegi (beef brisket), Soon Tofu (kimchee tofu soup), steamed egg casserole, Buchu Jeon (korean pancake) and soju.

The Galbi tasted amazing with the special marinade sauce, pork belly and beef brisket are both overcooked. Everything else was extremely yummy. It was perfect for a small group of 3.

The service was great, our waiter was always around to help. Restaurant seems very clean and organized. They serve you a rice drink after your meal, it was very refreshing and a great treat!

Ah...to first experience a new cuisine only to discover you find it absolutely delicious.

I had done a limited amount of Korean food before, but never in this great BBQ style that they have here. This was such a cool, unique experience. Our group was put into this cool little room with a large grill in the middle. We ordered the large combination and received a enormous variety of meats to cook on the grill ourselves. The meat was marinated in various savory spices and sauces.

We were also given a bounty of sides to the point where our table was essentially covered in small bowls filled with things like kim chee, seaweed salad, marinated tofu strips and even macaroni salad. Those were a bit more hit and miss for me, but many of them were quite good.

At Seoul BBQ, I definitely had one of the best single bites of food in my entire life. It started with this tender piece of beef marinated in this spicy/sweet/savory garlic/ginger/soy sauce. It was cooked to perfection then put on the bottom of big lettuce leaf. I dolloped a bit of rice on top and then added several stringy pieces of scallions that were soaked in a sweet chili sauce. Then I slathered some tangy red-bean sauce to this concoction, wrapped it all together and stuffed it in my mouth. OH SWEET BUDDHA, was that a delicious bite of foot, featuring almost every kind of taste and texture and yet it all came together into absolute sublimity.

This huge meal also came with a bottle of shoju (a kind of Korean sake, I am told) to share amongst our group. It was a somewhat acquired taste but it definitely does what it's supposed to. Best of all, this meal was only $100, split between seven people, or basically about $15 per person. There was plenty of food for this many people too, though the shoju would have probably run out quicker if two of our party wanted to drink that night.

I am very grateful to be dating a cute Asian girl who has introduced me to even more of the culinary pleasures of her continent. Am definitely excited to eat more.

First off I just want to say the sign they have is very misleading. My girlfriend and I were looking for sushi one day. We saw this sign saying Seoul BBQ and Sushi. So we pulled in and checked out the place. You go inside and its very clean, and nice. However most of the menu items were in Korean. So since I don't read that it was very had to select a item. We asked for the sushi menu and were told that they do not serve sushi.

So right off the bat I should have walked out but I didn't. I mean if the sign says sushi you should serve sushi but whatever. So we finally guessed on the Menu since a waiter was no where to be found to help us the entire time selecting. When we finally got the food it was the worse food I have ever tasted. I would never go back to this place.

Not only is it surprisingly super clean, but you'll be seated quickly and you'll have one momentous realization: great Korean food can be found in Denver!

Bulgogi is hands down my favorite entree there. Well, it's hard to mess up, but the meat was so darn tender and all those little appetizers always make my day.

My main complaint is that it's pretty far out there... it'll take you roughly 20-25 minutes to get there from downtown Denver. That's somewhat far, for Denver bike-friendly standards.

Nonetheless, the price is right and the food is worth it, so if you're ever in the mood for Korean, you should have no reservations putting this on your hit list.

    THE. BEST. BANCHAN. SPREAD.
    (in the area)

You get something like 14 different banchans (small side dishes) and 10/14 will be gone before your meal arrives--they are that good!

Parking is a non-issue.  Decor is modern/clean.  This place specializes in tabletop BBQ, but for what they are charging (avg in the high $20s per person), I'd rather go to another restaurant or (gasp) do it myself at home.

Their other dishes are consistently excellent.  I always leave full AND with leftovers!  This would be my one and only Korean go to place, but their menu is somewhat limited so if I need my kalguksu fix...I go to one of my trusty backups--Shilla or Hangang.

9/16/2012 visit for dinner.. sat at main level.
i have been eating at this restaurant for since the opening days at least twice a week, sometimes 3x a week.  this is my favorite Korean restaurant and lunch menu is packed with good value and you get good service.

we sat at the table that had built in BBQ table and if you had BBQ here before, you know what I'm talking about.  the hostess was actually one of the waitress during the day time.  they must take turns.  everyone was friendly, prompt and food was OK.

    *************************************  until ************************************
I'm willing to remove this post if the management makes immediate changes to the person and also the area..

    1.  restroom was filthy..  its been going down hill and tonight was real bad.  the bathroom has shinny tiles on the wall and someone had placed long pc of toilet paper between the urinal and the toilet area to give lil more privacy. its been like this for months and management hasn't done anything to fix it.

    2.  sushi chef (middle aged scruffy looking Korean guy wearing white uniform) came out of the toilet after doing his thing and went straight out.  i.e.. without washing his hands.   WHAT THE HECK?????   I guess I wont be eating sushi for awhile..
I don't care if he will be washing it at his work station, i want all the staff to be washing hands when they use the facility.  This is against the health codes!

yes, the owner should know this.  I visited your restaurant during the dinner hours on 9/16/2012  7 ish.

I ordered BBQ ribs and it was great.. service was great but... ...   yucko!

The hubs and I recently visited the Denver area and were craving Korean! The husband has visited Korea before and I've been a fan for several years. Unfortunately I wasn't that impressed with this restaurant. The bulgogi was really sweet and insanely expensive for how little we got. For the price I think we should also have been served more side dishes as well. Service wise, our waitress disappeared when we were waiting to order and then was replaced with a new one.

We regretted going here to eat. The price and food wasn't worth it to us.

Seoul BBQ is one of my top 5 restaurants in the Denver area, hands down. I used to frequent it pretty often when I lived in Aurora but now that I live on the other side of town I go less often. I like getting as big of a group as possible together to go so we can sample as many dishes as possible but going with just a couple of people is just as satisfying, especially because of the 15 or so unlimited little side dishes that come with your meal.

I've loved everything I've ever ordered and we've had a lot of the dishes - marinated beef and chicken that you grill on your table, whole fried fishes, and a special slow braised beef dish that is superb.

Some of my favorite side dishes are the potato salad (yep), all of the deliciously spicy pickled or fermented vegetables, the tiny dried fishies, and the little omelet.

I've found the staff to be very helpful when I've asked for it and the place itself is beautiful. Once you step inside you realize it is not your average strip mall restaurant.

Whether you live in the area or not, try to find a time to check it out! Even if you don't consider yourself an adventurous eater, there is stuff that you will absolutely love!

I have been here a few times and the food is good and service excellent.

I am still not a Korean food expert, but I can tell you the more I eat it, the more I like it. I especially enjoy all of the sides that come with your order here. You order your entree and the next thing you know they come by with lots of little containers of sides...traditional kim chee, pickle kim chee, bean sprouts in sesame oil, cut up egg omelet type side, potato salad type side, squash side, eggplant,...you get the idea. I don't know all the names for these sides, but they change from time to time, but they are all very good.

They serve their hot tea in metal cups and I think it is a barley tea. I am more of a green tea drinker, but I do enjoy their tea as well.

I even have made a take out order and thought they did a nice job with that too (they packed up a variety of their sides too).

I haven't tried their bbq, cook at your table type entrees yet, but hope too sometime in the near future.

I've been craving korean food while here in Denver, and this place looked awesome.  I didn't do the BBQ, but that part is probably the best here, it smelled so good.  I really wanted soondoobo so I went with that and got the combination soon-tofu.  To my surprise, they also gave me like 15 side dishes for just myself!!  WINNER!  The tofu came out fast, boiling hot and full of veggies, seafood and meat as well.  It was all delicious, great flavor in the tofu, though not as flavorful as I've ever had, but still decent.  It was a big bowl of tofu as well, so that was a plus.  The side dishes were all good too, though I couldn't eat them all myself.

The service here is really fast and great.  They are friendly and provide you with friendly service.  Next time I want to try the BBQ!

My goto spot for K BBQ. Good service and the side dishes are always great. If you do the lunch specials you can feast for less than 10$.  Thats a rarity these days

Have not had the sushi but the fish roe bowl looks great if I can only get past the pork bulgogi!

Went here for my first time recently and had a great time!

The whole staff was super friendly and efficient.  They constantly were checking in on us and we got our food within minutes.  Our table was literally covered in food and it just kept coming!

The price is actually really reasonable considering how much you get.  I would definitely be coming back and bringing others with me.  My only warning is to not go here unless you have someone in your party that knows what they are doing because it's a little tricky to figure it out on your own.

How do you say 5 stars in Korean? Don't know, but I say Seoul in English!

Having daily worked with a man from Korea for a year, he took me to several Korean restaurants.  Seoul was always tops is still is.

Amazing sides. Seafood pancake is the best anywhere. From an American with Korean cuisine as a favorite, this is it. Decor, presentation, willing to accommodate in any way.

So I fly all the way from LAX to Denver with a layover in Vegas.
    And I'M FREAKING HUNGRY.

So hungry I'm yelling at my company for no reason.
We're fighting, we're angry about rental car stuff, we're just hungry really.
But you know how that does.

So we drive around and I'm like I'LL EAT ANYTHING, BUT WE HAVE TO FIND SOMEWHERE NOW!

I picked this nasty looking Korean BBQ place which I'm glad we didn't go to.
Because as we casually circled around... I FOUND A FREAKING GEM.

We go in, are greeted by hot Asian chicks, then they walk us to the back.
(huge restaurant, great for parties and groups).

And then we get 8 sides with our lunch specials.
    My friends got 12.

I FEEL SO BAD FOR YOUR DISH WASHER!!! OMG SO SORRY.

Then my boy, Dong Kyong had us taken care of very well.
Dong was the man, he was attentive and made excellent recommendations.

This place has all the weird ish on the menu that the hardcore Otaku beyatches are into as well.

    I liked it. A lot.
And after a TABLE FULL OF FOOD!!!
It was like $25 with tip.

Sometimes I wonder why I live in L.A. and pay so much for everything.

But oh well, I'll definitely be back here if possible.

Five stars for the price and quality of the Korean BBQ lunch specials - have not tried anything else.

We came here for lunch after a long day of travelling from LA, it was amazing.

Ordered the Bulgogi, and Chicken lunch specials then I could not resit to order the Leek pancake appetizer all of this with the amazingvariety of sides were phenomenal - it was enough to feed 4! the bill was $22, what a steal.

The gentleman next to us ordered the sushi salad bowls which also looked just wonderful, I will try that next time.

Our server Dong Kyong was very attentive and sweet for us out of town 'first timers'

Next time we are in town, we will make a B-Line for lunch here.

My husband and I love Seoul BBQ! We have done the actual BBQ as well as just getting one of the lunch dishes. I absolutely loved the beef bulgogi, the flavoring is delicious! I even uttered the words "orgasmic" when tasting it for the first time. Really, its that good. And its great that the meal comes with a bunch of side dishes to share. It definitely leaves you stuffed at the end of your meal, and a very satisfied stuffed at that!

The atmosphere is great as well, pretty quiet and casual. They have little rooms you can reserve for private parties too. This last visit we were in a separate dining area where there was a sushi bar. I didn't partake in the sushi, because I hate sushi, but I really liked being in our own little corner of the restaurant!

The pricing was great, for two people it was $26, and that was partially due to my husband having ordered a large heit beer. So $20 for two people was definitely in our price range! We will be going back real soon.

I love Korean BBQ and this place was one of the best I've  been to.  We ordered the bulgogi and were pleasantly surprised to find it came with 14 side dishes (we loved them all minus the acorn jelly product and anchovies- but that's just us- I'm sure it's good if you like those products).

The marination on the meat was great.  The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.  Our only hold up from giving it a 5 star was the table not being thoroughly cleaned from earlier diners.  The bathrooms also needed some attention.

Overall it was excellent food and we'd go back.

Gonna have to say: sucks that I can't get good Korean food IN the city of Denver. I suppose the drive out to Aurora isn't too bad....but not as convenient as a bus stop away like in San Francisco.

Seoul BBQ was ten steps up from Han Kang (see the previous review on my profile). Nicer lighting, big spacious tables, and several tables for bbq.

My friend and I went for entrees: I really wanted Duk Bok Ki but they didn't have it! -sad face- But I went with rice cake soup, which was a good alternative to Duk Bok Ki. -note to self: must eat DBK in SF on business trip-

Service was polite and fast. We got our cinnamon juice at the end, which is what I always look forward to after a delicious Korean meal.

Still, I'd come to Seoul BBQ again just for the great ambiance and better food than Han Kang.

Beware of the parking lot: a little weird and we almost got hit by another car.

Last Friday my girlfriend and I were looking for something fun to do and another couple suggested we tag along with them to Seoul BBQ.  I've only had Korean BBQ a couple of times before and really liked it so I was game.  And the other couple both had lots of good things to say about Seoul BBQ, and afterwards I had to agree with them!

We got there around 7:30 and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table with a BBQ to open up, not bad at all for a busy Friday.  We each ordered our drink of choice, I got an unfiltered sake, and we settled in to look over the menu.  All of us wanted to do BBQ and we were all really hungry, and we agreed that we were all in the mood to try out a bunch of different stuff.  Even though we knew it was going to be WAY too much food we went for Combination C, which is supposed to be food for 5 people.  We figured we'd just cook up whatever was left at the end and take it home for some killer leftovers.

    Combo C comes with:
        - Rib Eye without Marination
        - Pork Short Ribs Marinated with Special House Soy Sauce
        - Boneless Beef Short Ribs Marinated with Special House Soy Sauce
        - Marinated Beef Short Ribs
        - Marinated Thin Slices of Beef
        - Slices of Pork Belly
        - Slices of Beef Brisket without Marination
        - Spicy Tofu Stew Served in a Clay Pot, Boiling Hot
        - Steamed Egg Casserole
        - Pan-Fried Batter of Eggs, Flour, & Leek
        - Korean Vodka
        - 14 Classic Side Dishes - including kimchi, bean paste, fish cakes, etc

We dove right in, making lettuce wrap after lettuce wrap, never making the same one twice because of all the varieties in front of us.  We cooked the meat in waves, always trying to have 2-3 to try.  I loved the 2 kinds of beef short ribs, the rib eye, and the slices of beef.  I also really enjoyed the spicy tofu stew and the pan fried batter dish with leeks.  Everything was fresh tasting, and the service was top notch.  I'm not a big vodka drinker these days but had to do a couple of shots of the small bottle that came with the combo, not bad!

If you've never had Koren BBQ give it a try, and if you're looking for a place to do so I recommend Seoul BBQ.  You won't be sorry!

I love Korean food, but I haven't found a great place in Denver yet.  I've been here a few times, and though it seems clean with a pleasant ambiance, my husband and I often have stomach aches after eating here.

    Dishes I've tried:
    - Galbi (BBQ short ribs): good, though the portion sizes are fairly small.
    - Bibim Nengmyum (cold spicy noodles): average.
    - Bibim Bap (rice w/beef, veggies, and egg): bland, even with the chili sauce.
    - Gal Bi Jim (braised short rib stew): good flavor, though huge chunks of fat is most often tasty (it would be better if some of the fat was trimmed).
    - Chapchae (noodles with veggies): not great, not a lot of noodles, too many onions.
    - Soon Tofu with Beef (spicy tofu soup with beef): good flavor of the soup, but the beef tasted like it was frozen for too long.
    - side dishes: some are very good, all are complimentary, and they'll give you more if you ask; one of the best things about this place, though I have seen the prepared trays sitting out at room temperature on carts for long periods of time (possibly the cause of our stomach pains).

    Service is pretty good.

There's always available parking in the lot.

My husband and I just visited Seoul BBQ for the fourth time this past weekend, and it is long overdue for some of my Yelp love.

In the past, we've done the actual BBQ.  This involves sitting around a hot grill which is in the middle of the table.  Bowls of raw, marinated meat of your choosing are delivered, and you can cook them up and gobble them down as fast as your chopsticks can fly.  Chowing down on sizzling protein appeals to my inner caveman...err.. cave-woman.

More recently, however, we've just ordered off the standard non-BBQ menu.  A personal favorite is the Dolsot bibimbap - a colorful rice dish with veggies and meat topped off with a soft-cooked sunny-side-up egg that comes served in a stone hot pot.  The best thing to do is as follows:

     A) Grab the squeeze bottle of tangy, tasty hot sauce and slather it over the top.

     B) Use your spoon and/or chopsticks to mix everything together

     C) Devour everything, then scrape off the delicious browned and crunchy bits of rice from the bottom of the bowl.

     D) Wonder aloud why you don't come here more often.

The food and the service have been consistently good since our first visit.  Oh!  Almost forgot about the banchan!  These are a stunning variety of small, tasty dishes that are served up as appetizers.  It takes a lot of willpower not to fill up on all of them before your entree arrives.

Given all the positives, I have to say that this is my go-to place for Korean food in Denver.

Cook my own meat? Unlimited sides? I SHOULD have been a fan...but it wasn't 100% delicious.

First of all, I came here on a Tuesday night and the place was packed.  I knew I had picked a pretty popular place so it HAD to be good...right?

Bright, florescent lighting and a huge menu that includes: K bbq, sushi, korean noodle and rice dishes, etc.

We started off with the scallion pancakes that were HUGE and tasty but it did require the spicy sauce that was included...it was kind of bland.

We ordered the combo A which included beef cuts for our K BBQ.  The meat wasn't seasoned well.  I'm use to explosion of flavors from the meat itself and the meat here was dark red (was it not fresh enough?) and way too fatty. I know, I know K BBQ meat should be fatty but this was a little too much for me.

The bibimbap (even with a ton of the hot sauce mixed in) flavors weren't there as well.  So bland!

I don't know.  I mean, I ate EVERYTHING but nothing was as seasoned as I expected from a Korean place, where I usually get teary eyed and a runny nose.

On a positive note, the service was fast and friendly!

    DECEMBER 1st 2011...

This was actually my second choice... Thank God for that.  Well actually I wanted to try to eat at another restaurant.  When we arrived at that restaurant, unfortunately, they RAN OUT OF FOOD... BIG BUMMER BIG TIME... I guess I will write that incident on a later date...

Anyhoos, THANK YOU SEOUL BBQ & SUSHI which SAVE THE DAY, made the rescue for my BIRTHDAY that falls on that faithful THURSDAY December 1st 2011.  Time was 19:00hrs.

At first I was apprehensive even to bring or ask Hubs to dine in this establishment.  But since he said that it was my BIRTHDAY, he is willing to go anywhere I wish to...  When we arrived, THANKFULLY there are seats available for us.  Perhaps one is a week night.  If I am not mistaken from my last trip with a big group many moons ago, the menu indeed have some changes.  Now this establishment offer simple SUSHI lists and all ther KOREAN delights.  Another good thing about this establishment is they offer many more variety of Banchan as compared to other Korean restaurants which I have been to.  That is an added bonus in my books.

The service was prompt and efficient.  They have many more English speaking servers who are way younger than I was "exposed" to when I brought my foodie group in 2009.  I glance thru the menu, briefly.  It could be overwhelmed for some, in which it did for my eyes.  Hence for My birthday treats, these were what I choose :

    *  Saewoo Tuekim
    *  Paemul Pa-Jeon

    My sushi fix were :

    *  BBQ Roll
    *  Raw Oyster Nigiri
    *  Amaebi Nigiri
    *  Unagi Nigiri
    *  Uni Nigiri
    *  Snow Crab Nigiri
    *  Surf Clam Nigiri

I think my EYES were INDEED BIGGER THAN MY STOMACH that evening.  I did not expect my order of Paemul Pa-Jeon to be so filling and because I ate the variety of bachan way before my appetizers and main entrees came.  So NOTE to SELF next time, wait for the main entree than eat it with the variety of bachan.  If still hungry than order more.

As for Hubs he ordered Chapchae and Dolsut Bibimbap.  Unfortunately, Hubs does not fancy the things her ordered that evening.  The beef in both dishes were tiny portions for his liking.  Hence he rated both of his dish as 3 stars though he likes the Dolsut Bibimbap better than the order of Chapchae.

Hence that was the VERY FIRST TIME, in my life, I could not finish my appetizers and sushi order.  Thankfully I did and could bring the leftovers back home in to go boxes.  It seems that the MENU ONLINE either have more variety or am I overwhelmed with information overload when I write or type this review on this last day of 2011 Saturday Dec 31st.  All in all, I dont mind returning for another feast in the future...

From their BIG MENU, I suggest take your time, no hurry, read the menu thoroughly and enjoy what this establishment has to offer with your hearts content... Err in this matter, your stomach content.  Happy EATING!

Best Korean BBQ restaurant in Denver. Haaaaands down.

My fiance did 2 study abroad trips to South Korea and I spent a week visiting. We ate the most delicious Korean BBQ. When we got back, it was our mission to find authentic Korean BBQ and we've finally found it!

From the minute you walk in, you feel like you've stepped into a restaurant in Korea. There are even Korean newspapers and magazines in the lobby while you wait.

The food is fantastic - a whole slew of delicious side dishes (kimchi, bean paste, veggies, green onion salad, ect, ect. So many to eat! It's required to order 2 meats for BBQ - we ordered the daeji galbi (pork short ribs) and samgyupsal (pork belly/BACON!). More than enough for 2 people - could have easily fed 3.

We love the authenticity of this restaurant - from decor and atmosphere to food quality to service. Definitely the best Korean BBQ restaurant we've been to!
