Forewarned is forearmed. Honestly, I really wanted to like this place more than I did. Â It was hit or miss. Â Ordered delivery last weekend. Â The miso soup was very good but the Sushi was disappointing to be honest. Â Three rolls that were fine but extremely small. Like the size of a quarter around. Â Tasted fine but the fish to rice ratio was way off for me. Not enough fish at all. Â The real disappointment however was the tomago sushi. Â Honestly inedible. Â Look at the picture I uploaded - Â I was appalled. Â it was literally like they scraped together the dried out ends of an omelet and tried to pass it off, and no, I didn't remove the rice, it came that way.. Â
Overall it was OK, but I believe that Mt. Kisco right around the corner is a much better option all around.
This place is my go-to sushi place. If i ever need my sushi fix, this is where i get it.
The sushi is pretty good, a few steps above average. Considering the price, its actually really great.
I usually go with one of the sushi sets, because you can get three or four rolls for eleven bucks.
Also don't forget the mochi!!!!! You can buy those little dough wrapped ice creams from a lot of places, but just letting you know that they have 'em ;)
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi from here - everything was fresh and well prepared.
My group ordered doubles of 3 different rolls - spicy tuna, spicy yellowfin, and spicy salmon (can you tell we like spicy!?!) as well as a sweet potato roll.
Food came super fast and was delicious - the yellowtail was my favorite. Prices seemed reasonable - the basic rolls like these were $4.50-7.50/ea.
Come here if you are in the area!
If you're going to catch a movie at Closter Cinemas then a quick lunch at Sushi Plaza is a safe bet. The lunch specials are priced right and the sushi was decent. My friend had the brown rice Sushi and said the rice was not fresh. I thought my Sushi was good. There are no tables so you have to sit at the Sushi bar or facing the window. My only major complaint was that it was cold inside. I'm not sure if the heat was broken or they were trying to save money.
