Nice little cottage style restaurant just off Ponce in Midtown. Excellent waiter - very attentive and professional. Menu is simple and easy to navigate; 2 pizzas, 2 pastas, several salads including a really good quinoa salad. The tuna tartare flatbread is good if not remarkable; could use more tuna. Dessert of brownie is delicate, small and tasty. Very good beer selection. Overall a nice experience!
Review Source:I've been wanting to try this place for a while since my friend who's a foodie, usually recommends great places.
My initial thoughts of Top Flr... Kind of a random location, but I liked the interior. I liked the atmosphere, a really nice place for a date night, and good music.
My boyfriend and I ordered: mussels, he got the steak, I ordered the tagliatinni, and we shared a side of the potatoes.
The bread that came with the mussels was slightly burned on one end. The mussels were great, I loved the coconut flavor in the sauce. Both entrees were TINY. And some of the potatoes were burnt. The steak was good but I personally didn't enjoy my pasta.
I was not too impressed with this place. I'm honestly disappointed because I was expecting great things, but honestly, the food was okay - sub par.
It was quite an expensive meal for small portions and sub par food. I usually get full off of an appetizer at most restaurants, so for me to say I wasn't full off of my meal today is saying something.
I feel like I could have gotten a bigger, better meal, for less or the same price.
The one thing that I do have to compliment is that the service was great!
Because of the price and small portions, I probably will not be returning.
