Great music, great drinks and great atmosphere! Had a lovely evening listening to Ruby Mayfield and her band. Everyone there, bartenders and customers, were friendly and having a good time.

This club is beautiful.  It sports a 1920's theme, complete with huge silver candelabras on the magnificent, columned bar, a tin ceiling, and flapper art.  Our waitress was very attentive.  Her only faux pas was to sneak up behind me and scream in my ear, inquiring if I wanted another drink.  He band was Neo Soul with Lyric.  It definitely lived up to Tressa's reputation for good bands.  I have had a better French martini, but I have not always had as much fun at a club.  Plus, Tressa's is social minded, as evidenced by the huge bowl of varied condoms located near the bathrooms.  Always a good time.

I recently rented out the beautiful upstairs portion of Tressa's for my birthday party and the experience couldn't have been more positive.  From my first interaction with Tressa the experience was a good one.  She was communicative and friendly and worked with me to adapt the setup and decor of the space to assure that every aspect of the party was as I had envisioned it.  When planning this party, booking and working out details for the venue was one thing that was completely stress-free.

I did a lot of comparison shopping and pricing venues before I decided on Tressa's and I really think this space is the best deal in town.  You'd pay something comparable to rent a generic-looking banquet hall well outside of downtown that wouldn't be nearly as unique or inviting.  Not only is the space at Tressa's beautiful, large, open, and full of character and atmosphere, but the central downtown location makes for a particular vibe and energy that makes it feel like an exciting place to attend an event.  It's great, too, that it's such a well-established Asheville club; everyone knows where it is.

Mary was our bartender and was absolutely wonderful; I'd certainly recommend her, as well!

I'd absolutely book another event at Tressa's, and you should, too!

I have been drinking and dancing in this place for probably almost 10 years even when I didn't live in town, but traveled from Charlotte North Carolina to kick around the dance floor and listen some great jazz music on the weekends.

Their staff is really great and the music is just perfect. It can get quite cramped there on the weekends. There's even a little dance floor area on the second floor so I haven't been up there in years. It's a definite a must see or do you come visit Asheville.

Tressa's was the second night of live music we went to.  I was expecting Jazz of some kind, but all we really got were blues.  Nothing wrong with that, as the band who played were pretty good.  Very crowded on a saturday night, but the crowd did skew a bit towards the older side...definitely a late 40's on up scene.

Cover was $5 a head, tables were much more difficult to come by the closer you got to the stage or the bar, but there was room for people to dance.

Doubt you'll hear it over the music but they did have a tv going, broadcasting all the march madness play.  All in all, I wasn't at all disappointed with the place and you could definitely have a good time here, though getting your server's attention might be a bit of a chore.

A good friend had her rehearsal dinner here over the weekend.  They had a buffet filled with all sorts of yummy options.  Spinach & artichoke dip, shrimp & veggie skewers, biscuits with brisket and pork, veggie tray and yummy desserts! The party was held on their second floor which has this amazing bay window which brings in all this natural light....and had a nice relaxed feel....a range of couches....high tables...low tables....bar area.  Was good for a small intimate gathering.  It also sounded like the downstairs was pretty fun too....live music and almost a NOLO feel to it.

Enjoyable Saturday night out listening to live blues/rock band. Good and friendly wait staff. No dinner menu. Only served lite food fare. Crowd was a mix of ages, but trended toward the 40-50 crowd. Band started promptly at 10:00 pm and only took 10 minute breaks between sets. The crowd wasn't bashful about hitting the dance floor. Enjoyed the intimacy of Tressa's.

I had a decent time at Tressa's but probably will not go back. The crowd there was a bit older than I expected.

The jazz music was decent but I did not feel like it was worth the cover charge to get in.

We went to Tressa's on a Friday night at the recommendation of our innkeeper.  Live music started about 10PM as expected.  Good alcohol menu including creative martinis.  Their normal menu has some lite fare, but unfortunately, due to inclement weather the week prior, there was no food whatsoever to be had.  Decor was lovely, but the atmosphere was a bit awkward--blues ensemble on stage and some random 20/20 episode playing on the tv at the front of the bar, for example.  Blues musicians were very good, though they weren't much to look at in the way of performance.
Things seemed a bit sketchy the entire time, and then when we were about to leave we found out why.  My husband was waiting for quite awhile to use the single-seat men's restroom and then two people walked out together.  As we left, we saw a rather large basin of a variety of condoms on the table next to the restrooms.  This was certainly not appropriate and not the type of establishment we wanted to patron.  Aside from this experience, we may have gone back in future visits for the music.  Due to the nature of what they are encouraging in the club, however, we will not be returning.

Delightful jazz and blues club in the heart of downtown Asheville.  This place is a haunt for tourists and locals alike.  I decided to check out this club during a visit with my significant other.  We went on a rainy night, but the place was still packed.  The bouncer at the door looked quite intimidating, but once we got chatting to him, we realized that he actually was a nice, friendly guy.  The club had a dark, speakeasy ambiance to it.  Patrons were drinking, dancing and having a good time.  While there was no live jazz or blues being played that night (it was DJ Night), we found the atmosphere relaxing and were still able to enjoy our conversation despite the music.  It was a great place to chill out, people watch and have some drinks.
