The Yard

This place lets little kids run around the bar like a damn playground on a Saturday night while irresponsible mothers sit by, suck down beers, and laugh as their kids slam against bar patrons like pinballs.

They also refuse to put the big game on the tv's despite 75% of the bar asking for it. Our whole group took our tabs next door.

This place essentially committed 2 of the biggest sins in the bar business and we'll never be back. If you can't get the most obvious things like that right, your bar probably sucks.

What an awful place. I felt bad for the bartender who doubled as a waitress. She was run ragged since she was alone and the place was busy, so to be clear, this review is not about her but more about how this place is run. The management needs to do a better job staffing this establishment. Other tables were equally annoyed and frustrated. In terms of food it is limited and mediocre at best.  I am surprised it has been in business for as long as it has!  The great thing about Chicago is that there are plenty of good choices so I'll never need to return here...
