We went there on a whim on a recommendation by a wine distributor because she said that their burgers were the best. Â
I had the black and bleu burger by recommendation of the wine distributor. Â It was a good burger, not as blackened as I would like, but a very tasty burger none the less. Â My hubby had the Soul Burger and I LOVED it (tried to trade, but he wouldn't let me). Â Definitely a good place to get a burger & watch sports. Â My husband liked the selection of beers they had too.
Fantastic burgers! Â I had the "soul jerk" and it was delicious. Â Best burger I've had in a long time. Â Plus they have $2.00 Hudy Delight! Â I'll have to go back to check out the other beers on tap and sample the other burgers. Â
Sure there's smoke. Â Deal with it or don't eat there. Â I'm so sick of the smoke complaint and I don't smoke. Â Place can be a little tricky to find, so make sure you have directions or know where you're going. Â It's not just out in the open and easy to find.
This is a great little place that I would say fall under the sportsbar/nicer hole in the wall catagori.
Went there on NYE day, and this place was actually rather full, and the crowd was very mixed, from people watching sports to families with kids having lunch.
The menu is regular bar food.
I had a cup of the home made chili, which had a really good flavor and meaty texture.(which Skyline could learn something from!)
After that I had the 915 Burger with slaw, which came nice and juicy. And the slaw was fresh and crunchy.
I would call it a stand up burger place, where you get more than you pay for, I will be back to try some more things on the menu.
Only down side is that it is a smoking allowed establishment, but that is the charm of the KY...
Every Wednesday is Burger Madness: a heavenly burger with all the trimmings, plus fries or cole slaw (definitely get the fries). Based on the burgers and fries alone, I would rate this place 4 stars. But the frequently-mentioned smoke is a big deal. I always get my food to-go because of it.
Make sure to stop by the Cake Towne bakery next door if they're open. Their cake balls are what's up.
Recently Cincy Metromix released a list of 100 things you must do in Cincinnati. Eating a buger at 915 was one of them. I had only heard a couple of things about the 915 Pub and Grill but what I had heard was positive so I was looking forward to my visit.
915 is located in Fort Thomas but it a little trickier to find than I expected. I thought it would be closer to the main businesses on Fort Thomas Ave, but I was off. Lesson to be learned here is to look at google maps a little more carefully before leaving the house. Once I found 915 and entered I liked what I saw. Its a classic neighborhood bar and grill. Since it was Kentucky I was worried about there being a lot of smoke but during my visit that wasn't a problem. The staff was really friendly as well and checked on us multiple times.
I came for the burger and left very satisfied. I wouldn't go as far as to say its the best burger in the Tri-State, but it is a very good one and one you should try if you enjoy a good burger (and what carnivore doesn't?). Me and my girlfriend also split an order of mozzarella sticks which were also very tasty. She went with an order of crab cakes which she enjoyed.
This little eatery is a shocker to me. It is in the heart of Ft Thomas so you have to know how to get there. But once you are there, the burger is so delicious, let me repeat that, it is so delicious.
If you ever in Ft Thomas, make sure stop by and eat in this little eatery.
The decor could use a little updating, but the burger is delicious.
The service is just so-so, but the burger is delicious.
This place deserve a 5 star, but the decor and service pull it down a little bit, but did I mention how delicious and juicy their burger is.
The burgers are very good. Friendly atmosphere. The service is not the fastest but I think it is because everything is made to order. The salads and salad dressings are not the average run of the mill either. Very good.
The biggest drawback I have is that since it is a PUB and grill, there is smoking. I am not a smoker so I don't like that. However the food keeps me coming back from time to time.
My First Lunch at the 915 Pub & Grill. Was a pleasant Surprise. Having driven by the 915 many times it looked like a pretty nice neighborhood bar but how good could the food be? I was pleasantly surprised by the thick juicy cooked to order burger and thick cut slaw that was delivered to my table.
The Server and service was lunch time fast and courteous. Priced to make me want to return especially with no charge for soft drinks.
My daughters and I stopped in for a burger after seeing a show at the Aronoff Center. 915 Pub and Grill is part of our "Top 10 Burgers" in the Greater Cincinnati tour we have set out to complete this year.
The ambiance is nothing to write home about, although there is a rather unique mural on one of the interior walls. Just a reminder, this one is in Kentucky, so you are assaulted by cigarette smoke when you enter. We chose our own booth, as this is not a "wait to be seated" kind of place, and were immediately greeted by our server and three menus. My older daughter and I ordered the Teriyaki Burger: Hers rare with the Asian slaw as her side; mine, medium rare with fries as my side and a side order of the Asian slaw. My younger daughter ordered a medium rare Mushroom Burger with Swiss, and a side of fries.
The food arrived very quickly, which was not surprising as the small restaurant/bar was relatively empty. The presentation was simple, the side portions generous. The onion, pickle and tomato accompanying the burger looked fresh. Although flavorful, all three burgers were not cooked to order. The medium rare burgers were medium-well, the rare was at least medium. Â Fortunately, the meat was nicely seasoned and fresh. The buns were soft, though neither toasted nor grilled. The Teriyaki sauce was good, and just the right amount. Both my daughter and I liked it. The Mushroom Burger was well received, too.
The fries were cooked well, and came out nice and hot. In my opinion, the best thing here is the Asian slaw. It is cabbage dressed in a sesame oil based sauce, with what appear to be uncooked ramen type noodles in them that must be added near the end, as they still retain a nice crunch.
Overall it was an OK experience. Upsides: The Burger meat and toppings, as well as the Asian slaw. The Downsides: Overcooked burgers and a room full of smokers (tough if you're not used to it). I would go back if I was in the area, but I don't believe I would drive miles out of the way to come back to.
Best Feature: AMAZING burgers!
Worst Feature: The service is really hit or miss.
We recently relocated to Ft. Thomas and, while apartment shopping, happened upon this restaurant. We didn't know much about it and were interested to try their menu.
On our first visit, we had mediocre service. Despite the "meh" service experience, the burgers we had were amazing! My boyfriend tried the International Burger and I decided to try the Teriyaki burger. I had my burger cooked medium well, and they did a great job! The burgers were cooked wonderfully, and the tastes and flavors the burgers packed were incredible! We also snacked on one of their appetizers selections.
Our second visit was even better than the first! I decided to try a Memphis burger, which is much like most BBQ burgers. They did a great job - this time I ordered it medium well, and again it was cooked perfectly! My boyfriend got the real treat, as he decided to be courageous and try the Aloha burger (almonds, pineapple, etc.). I was a bit leery of his choice, but after he let me try a bite, I was totally blown away.
The burgers here thus far have definitely moved this restaurant to the top of my list in regards to burger joints. I love it!! The service on our second visit was fabulous; totally different experience from the first. It's amazing what a simple smile and positive attitude will do.
They also have a great drink selection - you can choose from a variety of beers and different alcohol.
Note: on our second trip, we realized they had 1/2 price appetizers during certain hours during the week and ALL day Sunday! Luckily our second visit was on a Sunday - made getting an appetizer an easy choice! The potato skins were crazy delicious.
I will definitely be returning here, as they have a great menu selection - appetizers, burgers, quesadillas, etc.
Came here for a casual 'date night' with my husband last night. The waitress told me that burgers were their specialty, so we both ordered those. He got the Hawaiian (ham, pineapple, etc.) and I got the Classic w/ grilled onions and cheddar.
The burgers were done to perfection (we both ordered 'medium'), loosely packed and full of flavor. Best in NKY, in my opinion. The accompanying fries were thickly cut--crisp on the outside and pillowy soft potato on the inside. We also sampled the Asian Slaw that's a house specialty and think it's a great alternative to the fries as well.
Draft beer selection is solid--the only place I've found locally that has Shiner Boch on tap. Prices are quite reasonable--burgers from $5.50-7, depending on toppings, which includes 1 side. There's also deals like half-price appetizers during happy hour and Sundays, $5 burgers on Wednesdays, and buckets of beer deals on Bengals away game days. Service was fast and friendly.
My only complaint--and what makes this a 4-star review instead of 5--is the smoke. It is a pub & grill in Northern Kentucky, so I knew there would be smoking, but the place is pretty small and there was no discernible 'non-smoking' section so it was REALLY smoky when we were there on a Friday evening.
This was the second time in 3 weeks that I went to 915 on burger madness night. This place is so great when it comes to burgers.

this spot has been a restaurant for so long. wednesday nights are moderate. its got a chill vibe, mostly ft. thomas people, so not really any cool people hanging out, if nothing is playing on the jukebox, oldies 103.5 plays on the radio.
Overall: 4.7
this burger coupled with that price, it's hands down the best burger i've had in cincinnati to date. great flavor, fresh meat, homemade toppings. hell yeah.
also, high fives for the chicken caesar pizza. it used to live at zola in covington, but they moved it up here when they opened 915.
This cool pub/restaurant in the hills of Ft. Thomas serves up some of the most original and flavorful bar food that I have eaten in quite some time. The owners must be as bored as I am with the status quo of pub grub, because they are not afraid to be a little daring with their menu items. However, these offerings are not just a shallow attempt to be different; 915's food is really fantastic.
Let's take my favorite dish as an example: grilled chicken Caesar pizza. Pizza and salad? This unusual concoction could go horribly wrong, yet 915 pulls it offer masterfully. A thin crust pizza is topped with Caesar dressing, chicken breast strips, and mozzarella then baked. The pizza is then topped with romaine lettuce, which has been tossed with more Caesar dressing. When my pizza arrived, the lettuce was crisp, not wilted as I had worried it might be. The interplay between the texture of the pizza and the salad is what really makes this meal a new classic.
Other standouts are the Cracklin' Cabbage Salad (shredded cabbage, crisp noodles, sunflower seeds, almonds, and Asian vinaigrette) and the Veggie Sandwich (portabella mushroom, grilled onions, black olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, provolone, and chipotle mayo).
While the food at 915 is great, the dark decor and dim lighting makes this place feel a bit like a dungeon during lunch-time dining. If 915 were to remedy this ambience issue, I'd definitely give this place five-stars for innovative and well-executed bar food.
