So far I have tried the chicken curry, lamb vindaloo and the garlic naan. The food is decent, but I would advise staying away from this place for dinner. Usually, when a certain menu item is higher priced, one expects either a larger portion and/or extra side dishes that tag along with it. I understand the dinner menu, without a doubt, should be more expensive than the lunch menu in every restaurant.
However, when the lunch menu (~$8-$9) comes with a vegetable samosa and some lettuce on the side and the dinner menu (~$11-$13) comes with LESS rice (they charge $1.99 for more rice), that's when you know something is wrong. It's like paying $1 for a 500ml gatorade, but $2.50 for a 1 liter one. It just simply does not make sense.
4 stars for lunch and 2 stars for dinner. The average? 3 stars. Can we rate a restaurant 3 stars on Yelp? Yes. Done.
Of the 2 options in Evanston, i will say this is definitely 2nd. The place is small and I usually just do a pick up from them. Its economical as they give rice with the entree.
If i was planing to sit and eat, I prefer to go to MtEverest as they also have Buffet during lunch.
Food is good, no complaints. Â If it was much cheaper than mt Everest, may be I would have gone more often. Its roughly 10$ entree.
Again, good for pickups (as rice comes free)
