Byrne's Pub

You know, Byrne's doesn't look like much but I rather liked my experience there. The waiter we had was fantastic. So attentive and funny. The food was pretty decent. Nothing is too expensive. We went on a night with a CBJ game going on so many of the patrons were decked out in all their gear and the TVs were tuned in. Despite it getting a little bit crazy, our waiter stayed on it.

A friendly place to go after the game on a weeknight, get some reasonably priced beers, and some decent food.  Not fancy and definitely fits the "dive bar" definition, but everyone's glad you came (owner, waiter, friends, etc).  Like most of Grandview, limited parking, but worth the walk from your car. Supporter of the neighborhood including your own Columbus Jackaroos (who hang out here on Thurs nights).

Probably one of my favorite grandview bars. For one, I don't think I've ever had to pay a cover and they have live music more often than not. The patio is smaller than most bars, but it is open year round - they enclose it and there are heaters and tvs out there. Only downside is the patio can become a bit heavy on the smoking during the winter. My favorite part about Byrne's is it has this magical way of never seeming overly crowded, no matter how busy it is - and it will get quite busy on saturday nights.

The music on stage is often irish or bluegrass and it a great way to relax from the weekend. Not to sound old - but it's never too loud that you can't still talk to your friends.

Probably best categorized as a dive bar, but with all the perks of a popular bar. One of the great perks is Grandad's pizza which shares the building with Byrne's. You can order pizza at the bar and it will be 'delivered' to your table. Not 5-star pizza - unless you've had 5+ drinks though. Bathrooms are little sketchy with a shower curtain acting as a door inside the men's bathroom.
