Stopped in here for lunch yesterday...even got there a few minutes before they opened.  Since I was there alone I sat at the bar.  Since I was the only patron there I chatted up the friendly bartender, Nancy.  Ordered a Heineken and the Croque Madame.  Both were delicious.  It was a different change of pace since I've stopped in before with my UK buddies that are regulars...but that's usually been late at night.  This place always has great & friendly service.  I'm sure I will find myself there again in the next couple of days before I skip town. I would order the Croque Madame if I go again.  I only ate half of it yesterday, looking forward to the other half at some point today.  Thanks Cat for a great meal and friendly service!

First of all, I have to say, The Cat & Fiddle is a neighborhood gem. It's a versatile place where you can go for Happy Hour, Sunday Brunch, a romantic date night or a fun night out with friends. Thanks to their English pub-style bar, their charming patio, main restaurant area and two private rooms they can accommodate just about anything!

This review is for the service provided leading up to and for a  wedding rehearsal dinner at The Cat & Fiddle.

We chose The Cat & Fiddle to host our wedding rehearsal dinner for several reasons. We loved that it is a family-owned business within walking distance to our church. We were looking for a nice yet casual place to set the tone for our dinner. Just as important, they were able to create a delicious pre-fixe menu within our budget.

Food quality: Excellent. English pubs and restaurants generally aren't known for their cuisine, but our menu options were full of flavor, fresh and memorable. The porcini chicken, the salmon in burre blanc sauce and butternut squash dishes were crowd pleasers as well as the sunset salad and the ginger carrot soup. And now we have guests craving their sticky toffee pudding.

Value: Reasonably priced for dinner considering it is a restaurant located in the heart of Hollywood. They gave us a great package and worked within our budget.

Service: Five stars. The staff serving our plated-meal and taking drink orders were attentive, quick and friendly. Additionally, we dropped of some simple flower arrangements and custom menus we had designed, which they were able to set up in advance without any problems.  Couldn't ask for better service.

Ashlee, whose family owns and runs the restaurant, responded promptly to emails leading up to the dinner and was very accommodating. She provided excellent advice when we had to make some changes to our preferences. Example: We initially had our heart set on dining on the patio, but due to a couple reasons she advised that we move our group into one of the private rooms. We're so glad she did. As beautiful and lovely the patio is, we would have shared half of it with their Friday night customers. It was nice to have a private area and made the dinner feel all the more intimate and special for our friends and family who had traveled across the country.

We were visiting Santa Monica with some friends.  On a recommendation from a friend we decided to try.  We went late on a Sunday evening....and loved it.  They have a beautiful courtyard with a fountain, stone, trees, and white lights.  Great atmosphere and ambiance.  There was a live band playing jazz music.  We sipped martinis and beer and just relaxed.  We ordered the fish and chips, the burger and the shepherds pie which were all very good.  Once you're tucked away in the courtyard, you forget the place sits on Sunset with traffic whizzing by.  I'd recommend this to anyone.

The Cat & Fiddle is just fine.  It is a great place to go have a drink or twenty.  The courtyard is awesome and I've spent many a night there.  The food is fine.  It's not going to win any awards but it hits the spot.  It's no more overpriced than any other p They make some really good craft cocktails.

The Cat & Fiddle gets very, very busy at times and the service can be very slow.  For whatever reason, they are historically understaffed during the rushes.  Yes...sometimes you need to flag down your server.  When that happens, smile, thank them and order your next drink.  You're not going to have a heart attack.  It's a pub....not fast food nor fine dining.

To all of the reviewers complaining about the seating policy on trivia night, it is the policy of many establishments not to seat people until everyone in the party has arrived....especially on busy, event nights. "First come, first served" means they seat people who have everyone in their party present first because they don't want one or two people taking up a five top table.

rude, unhelpful, inconsiderate group of people that work there.
Although they have reached out and working to resolve the issue.

This place is home for me! There is a good reason they have been in business for over 30 years in Hollywood! You can't beat the patio on a nice summer evening, you forget you are in the middle of Hollywood, enclosed by the beautiful 1920s Spanish courtyard.

Trivia night is always a blast and educational and the resident Jazz musicians play every Sunday night.

I crave their Sydney and Pueblo Salads.  The Cat and Fiddle burger with the double gloucester sharp English cheddar and English Bacon just rocks my day.

I was trying to explain the difference between a pub and a bar to a friend of mine recently, and after stopping in at the Cat & Fiddle yesterday for a couple sneaky pints on the way to the airport, I think I might just have to bring him by to make my point. As other reviews have noted, it's not exactly the same as a traditional British pub, but it's close enough, and the atmosphere here is fantastic. There's a spacious patio and sitting out there with a pint on warm days is just about perfect. They have a good jukebox, Boddingtons on tap, and the staff is always friendly. My only quibble is that the food's just okay, but if I'm being honest, I'm typically here for beer and conversation more often than dinner. All the same, I've been popping in off and on for around 25 years now, so I think it's safe to say I like it!

First off I'm a Brit but live in LA now.

I always take friends who are visiting to The Cat and Fiddle. They have a good grasp on British stuff, not quite the same but it's nice to find a place that has this style of food and also sells Marmite!

The drinks are obviously good, they have a wide selection of beers, cocktails and if you are a brunch bunny they have mimosas too. The food is pretty awesome too. They have a wide selection of 'British' dishes, the fish and chips are great although are much more gourmet than the sloppy ones you get in England (trust me). The corned beef and eggs was great for brunch time (I'll upload a pic).

They have a great courtyard, you wouldn't think you are in the middle of stinky Hollywood. My only complaint is that it is a little expensive.

How sad is it that I created a Yelp account just to give this place a bad review?

I came here on a Tuesday for a trivia night with a large group. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty and I told the host that I needed two tables for my large group. He asked if my entire party was here and I replied saying they are on their way and will arrive closer to the time trivia starts. At that point he told me that I needed to wait until everyone was here until he could give us a table. I think, "Fine, whatever. Do what you have to do."

I stand around to wait for more people in my group to arrive. In the meantime, the host is seating people left and right and the restaurant is beginning to fill up. While this was going on, one person in my group decides to sit at a table. The host comes up to me and tells me that I needed to wait for my entire group to arrive but since one person is all ready at a table that we can go ahead and keep it. To which I thought, "Is this host not merciful?"

Anyway, we get closer to trivia time and the restaurant is full and the rest of my group arrives. The table we have is obviously not large enough to seat us all and I tell the host the situation and pointed out the fact that I did ask for the tables when I first arrived. The host says we can bring more chairs but I asked for another table and pointed out how full restaurant is. The host tells me that seating is on a first-come first-served basis. To which I reply, "I was here first and the entire restaurant was empty!" Seriously, the gall of this person to tell me it's first-come first-served when I was indeed there first!

In the end, half my group sat at the first table while the other half sat deep in a corner. We made the best of the situation but did it really have to come to that?

    As for everything else.....

Service, 1.5/5. On a busy night like trivia night, you'd think they would have adequate staff on hand but they don't and orders take forever to arrive. The waitstaff hardly comes by to top it off.

Food, 2/5. The food here is really expensive in relation to what you get. It's decent but you'll eat anything when you're hungry.

Drinks, 3/5. They have the typical stuff and some speciality drinks. Cocktails are on the pricey end.

Ambience, 3.5/5. This is about the only redeeming quality of this place. It has the British pub feel and nice people all around.

I will never come to this restaurant again nor will I recommend it to anyone in the future. I typically have a large group with me when ever I head out and this place has lost our patronage for life.

Came here with my very picky father and we both loved it. We split the fish & chips and burger with side salad and everything was great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The patio is super chill and surprisingly peaceful for being right off of busy Sunset. I loved this and will definitely make it a regular stop.

So after tonight I will not be going back to the Cat & Fiddle. I've been going once a week for trivia for the past couple months, as well as a few times on the weekends, so my friends and I have spent probably thousands of dollars here at this point, but tonight the waitstaff was so rude to us - a waitress, a bartender, some guy who I think was a waiter and was the rudest of them all? I honestly have no idea what we did to make them so mad, other than show up to their restaurant for trivia night expecting to eat food and drink beers and do trivia which, man, as I type it out - maybe they're right - maybe we are monsters.

We told them we would have a party of eight for trivia, and they made a big deal out of us needing to order lots of food or we'd have to sit at the bar. They eventually crammed us into a tiny booth meant for - at most - five. There were several empty tables, including a big one right across from us. We asked if we could move and they said no because it was reserved. Five minutes later, the big table for 10 was taken by a party of four who didn't order any food, while we had 8 people in a tiny booth, almost all of whom ordered dinner like we do every week.

We had to flag down our waitress for everything, and she completely ignored us for a good hour after we got our food. We were surrounded by empty tables, so it's not like the bad service could be blamed on the place being busy.

Then, we won a $15 gift certificate in trivia. We thought we'd order a pitcher and hang out a bit longer because one of our friends had just arrived. Having basically no waitress, I got up and asked the manager if we could get our check, and then went to the bar to order a pitcher so we wouldn't have to wait forever to get it/pay for it. I showed the bartender our gift certificate and asked if I could use it and pay for the rest, and he said yes. He gave me a pitcher and no glasses, took the gift certificate and my card, and moved to someone else to take their order. I waited for the bartender to give me glasses and my card back so I could sign for it and be done, but after several minutes he curtly asked me to just come back later because he was busy. (There were 6 other people at the bar. No one was dying.) I had to get his attention a third time in order to get glasses for the pitcher. I get it if you're busy, but dude, it's a pitcher of beer. Of course I need glasses for it.

THEN! A few minutes later a woman came over to our table and told us that we couldn't use the gift certificate and I had to pay full price for the pitcher. Honestly, this would have been fine if they had told me that in the first place, but I had specifically asked and been told it was ok. I think it's pretty rude to tell a customer they have to pay more than they had agreed to, especially if it was the restaurant's mistake. The woman told me the bartender was actually just a barback who had been covering for her while she was on her break, and he didn't know the gift card policies and shouldn't have said it was ok. At this point, I was so frustrated by the horrible service I just said it was fine and agreed to pay full price so we could leave.

AND THEN! The manager came over to ask what happened, and we told her about how we come here every week and spend lots of money and couldn't believe how rudely we had been treated by being crammed into a tiny table, basically scolded to make sure we order food, given horrible service, and then told we could use a gift certificate only to be chased down to tell us we actually couldn't. She did apologize, but still said that the gift certificate and the table were due to us misunderstanding their policies. I would have thought that after such an eventful meal and their own mix-up, that they would just comp our pitcher of beer and apologize, but after several minutes of arguing the solution was that they would accept their own gift certificate, and still charge me $5. (This was after the empty promise from the bartender that she would buy me a drink the next time I came in, asking "do you want that?" Why they wouldn't just comp the $5 for the pitcher in order to keep a group of loyal customers, I don't know.)

All in all, their food is mediocre and service is only ever tolerable at best, and bafflingly rude at worst. We like the location so we've been going routinely for a few months, but after tonight none of us will be back. I guess go if you like waiting a really long time for really bland food and beers you can get anywhere else?

Fun little place. Friendly staff, good prices and food that is filling and delicious. I love the skotch eggs and fish and chips. Good place to go after rehearsal or a show or to have a business lunch. I had a four hour business lunch here once and the staff never pressured us to leave or hurry. They kept asking if we were okay.

The outdoor patio is nice, the trivia nights are cool and the general atmosphere is nice. I just think the food is way over priced. $15.50 for Fish & Chips? With just two pieces of fish and almost on the small end of the scale? It's the 2nd more expensive item on the menu.

I really like the vibe, I think I'd just never order food because it's too costly. And lack of parking sucks as well.

I've been to the C&F two times. Once a few years ago to meet a friend for a drink and then 5/13/2013 for dinner.  Arrived around 6:40p with a friend and we were seated on the patio. Hostess gave us menus and then we sat there. And sat there. And sat there. Ignored while waitress after waitress passed us by.

A bit after 7p my friend and I wondered if anyone was ever going to stop at our table and take a drink order much less a dinner order. We waited some more to see how long this crappy lack of service would continue. We made eye contact with several employees but to no avail.

Around 7:40 I finally broke down and grabbed a busboy and asked if anyone was ever going to stop by and take an order. About eight minutes later a waitress showed up and took our order.

In true British tradition the beer was warm and the steak and mushroom pie tasted like it was right out a can of Dinty Moore.  Luckily this was the Monday night special so I was only out ten bucks.

Other notes. Valet parking is overpriced and parking in general just sucks in this part of town.

In closing I think this cat has used up it's nine lives and it is time for some new management.

Darts. Steel - or what I consider "real".

That's what brought me out to Hollywood on a weeknight. I dreaded the thought of driving around looking for parking so I just rode in. Parked right on the sidewalk. It's one of the many wonderful joys of riding a motorcycle. There is a valet service, or so I was told.

Anyway - pretty cool pub. Great outdoor patio. Lots of people having a grand ol' time. Staff was very friendly - even giving me tips on where to leave my ride as well as other places to eat and drink in the area.

Two dart boards - didn't see any pool tables. Strange thing for a Pub ... no Harp or Bass. Not a very big craft beer selection either.

I didn't have the food but from what I could see and smell, looked pretty good for bar food. The fish and chips looked like a definite "must try" should I ever make it back.

i have been going to the cat and fiddle since before 84 when i had an office in hollywood..i do love the patio and the ambiance for lunch or for drinks in the evening.
i've found that the only good thing they really have on their menu is on weekends and its a mushroom and brie omelet with country potatoes..everything else i've ordered there is inconsistant and not very good at all..i was just there last sunday evening april 21, for a business dinner and we'd both ordered their prime rib special. this was an insult to english food. the meat was just aweful and thin cut like a pork chop,
and was gristly chewey and not good..and i was very disappointed that the yorkshire pudding served with it was ice cold and hard as a rock. and they served this without any au jus and without any creamed horseradish which we had to ask for..
seems to me if youre an english tavern, how can you ruin prime rib and yorkshire pudding? obviously they are buying cheap meat and the preparation and serving with proper sauce or garnishes means nothing to them .its a shame because its such a fun place to go and i really enjoy the patio and courtyard, but this was the last entree i'll ever order there again, except the omelet. surely if they paid attention to the food there, more than just drunk partiers would be ordering and eating it..
cmon cat and fiddle, dont be so cheap. yeah the help is very irregular too as is the service, wait, wait, and they keep forgetting to bring you things you asked for.
the things they should as servers KNOW to bring..

they should get a great meat supplier and pay attention to the food prep
or never ever offer prime rib --like that..

So, the place is pretty quiet after a busy trivia night. I am in the back end of the bar sitting solo when a group of people come in and basically knock me off the stool while taking over the space. That is understandable, jerks will walk in anywhere. But, when I made a comment to the bartender who: did not know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness and was slow, got arrogant and nasty while telling me to expect being pushed around and people being nasty and rude in her bar. Just saying on this bit@h box called yelp... pretty bad skills. Stay away from this place on Tuesdays, bartender sucks with attitude. This was disappointing because the rest of the staff was great on Sunday night.

I am limiting my pricey lunches to once a week, so selecting a good place has even more urgency than it once did.  The Cat & Fiddle's reviews seemed mixed, but it was a GLORIOUS day and the pulse on their patio steered me the way of the feline.  So glad my friends and I ended up here!  The atmosphere was perfect for a fun lunch, drinks were pleasant (moderate strength), and the patio was quiet enough to have a good conversation.  For a drink, I had The Fiddler, which was a clean take on a Whiskey Sour.  I ordered the Guinness, Steak & Mushroom Pie: the pastry on top was flaky and delicious, and the inside was hearty.  My meal was served with mash and veggies.  My friends thought their burgers were okay.  But the patio and pie won me over.  I would definitely return!

Ok, I gave two stars because there were several issues here, I have been coming to the C and F, for over 20 years. and didnt want to give one star, the girl watresses are very helpful and have a smile, this waiter was not  pleasant and probaly over partied from night before.
    The issues:
    Waiter,
    Eggs,
    Chips
    Manager.
Yesterday , we stopped by for a breakfast, 12.30 pm,it was very quiet, maybe 2 tables eating, one table not ordered, two servers two busboys,, after waiting for 10 mins, no coffees yet, I had to go in search of the waiter whom I had not seen since ordering,,I have had the English breakfast many times, they didn't used to serve potatoes with it before, they boast fresh hand cut  chips (french fries),  I had told the waiter we were on our way to a movie and kinda had 45 minutes, it took over 20 minutes for the food to arrive,we was served dry greasy what seemed to be re-cooked at least once before chips, I asked the waiter to bring me fresh order, he did in 10 seconds, they were exactly the same, I couldn't eat them, I dont think anyone would have eaten them, greasy and hollow inside. My eggs we sunny side up, after I had ordered over medium and said no runny white part, thats what i got , runny white,
I called manager later in the day to mention the issues, but he wasnt receptive to anything negative defensive from the get go, his answer was , he was there when i sent the  chips back, and that they were fresh. we had other words too, not the tactful manager as most places have.
FYI, I come from UK, my family owns 7 fish and chip shops, I am a private chef, so I think I know when a potato is fresh or frozen, these potatoes tasted and looked like the ones bought at smart and final  in large bags.. frozen.
So because of the managers attitude, they lost a regular customer that would go twice a month,,and with several people at a time.
To the Cat and Fiddle, if youre going to serve English breakfast, please use English sausage, the one you serve is grey, an English banger is pink but Andy  you said youre from UK, so you knew that already. The one rasher of bacon couldn't be cut any thinner if you tried, The Heinz baked beans were good.
Next time I get the urge for an English Breakfast I will go to The Kings Head in Santa monica and make a day of it, the fish and chips are also much better at Kings head.
Andy be a bit more diplomatic,,and listen to the customer,(free advice),I wasn't trying to get  anything I didn't pay for, .

I have been to the Cat and Fiddle numerous times (for what reason I am not sure) and with the exception of a couple rare visits, each time has been mostly horrible for one reason or another.

The last time I decided to try it, which will most likely be my final time, I went for a late lunch on a Sunday with my girlfriend. We walked in and were not immediately greeted, and when we were the hostess(?) grumpily grabbed two menus and without asking led us outside to a table, threw the menus down and walked away.

After a few minutes a waitress walked up and just stood there, I asked her if there were any drink specials or happy hour type deals at that hour and she had no idea and actually seemed somewhat put off to be talking to us. I ordered and beer and my girlfriend a cocktail.

The waitress left, we sat there for literally 15 minutes without receiving our drinks or even seeing the waitress. Never received water. It was not unusually busy. After waiting as long as we could we got up and left without anyone working taking notice.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

This is such a unique restaurant with a romantic/peaceful ambiance outside in the beautiful patio area and fun interior bar/restaurant area.

I've gone here for a few of their Tuesday night trivia nights as it is my favorite in town (and I've been to several of these across town).  Also, love that they have a few dart boards set up, another great way to have fun with your friends.

I was surprised how many different kinds of foods were available, and being a fan of healthy food, enjoyed the healthy selections on the menu.

The staff and managers are SO nice and help make your experience the best it can be.

Food is decent; I had fish cakes and shepherds pie. I've had much better, but it was still good. Portions for the price are small. Service is pushy; They came by every 2 min to take the plates, but some how had trouble bringing us spoons and some hot sauce. Live music was great though.

All in all, not bad. Definitely don't take your date here to impress her.

I had recently written a review for a restaurant that discussed in detail the effect customer service has on your overall dining experience, and it being a major determining factor when considering future patronage.

In that review (which can be found on my page) I essentially said that lacklustre food can be overlooked if service is impeccable; delicious food loses it's flavour if the service is dour.

Luckily for The Cat & Fiddle Pub they have a member of staff named Shelly whom I will happily endure the food for.  Okay, so maybe that's a bit harsh...the food isn't that bad.

But that's exactly my point: it isn't that bad, but it isn't that good either.  It's hit or miss - like Liverpool FC.  Sure, the menu is somewhat limited.  And yes, the dishes are more of an American interpretation of their more homey (and flavourful) traditional British counterparts, yet I keep going back.

And I go back for Shelly.  Perhaps more New York than Yorkshire, but Shelly's warmth and earnest hospitality truly makes you feel as though you are being invited in by a good friend.  Attentive, and cheerful, Shelly floats through the outdoor patio with grace and a sense of purpose: to help you enjoy your experience.

Her genuine enthusiasm, and desire to be there, is a refreshing change to the jaded out-of-work actors/models/musicians that make up a majority of the waitstaff in this town.  She understands what all committed hospitality professionals do: it is a pleasure to serve you.

So I'll go back for the flat soda, and cold sausage rolls because I know I'll enjoy every bit of it because of who's serving it.

I came here for a networking event during their Happy Hours which is 5-7PM.

The place is really cool and a great place for large groups. Great vibe and their outdoor patio is awesome.

    Here is what I got:
House Wine: Not good. Would not recommend it. Tastes like two-buck chuck.
Scotch Egg: Really not that special. The description sounds epic but it's really just an egg in a sausage.
Grilled Shrimp with Guacamole: This dish was pretty good. The grilled shrimp was flavored really nicely and the guac was on point.
Mediterranean Sliders: Pretty dry and uneventful.

I probably wouldn't return for the food but the vibe is really really cool.

Service is a bit slow and parking is a pain the behind.

I used to love going to this place... mainly for the outdoor patio and overall atmosphere.  The food here has NEVER been good... but it's always been a great place to grab a drink... until last night.

Without going into details, I just have to say that the owner of this place has the WORST customer service I've ever seen.  She spent much of the night picking fights with patrons, needlessly, and forcing people out of the bar.

This bar is in my neighborhood, and I've frequented it for 10 years... but now, sadly, I'm never going back due to the owner's incredibly rude behavior.  Sorry, Cat & Fidz, unless you come under new ownership, myself and my friends will never visit you again.

I simply can't support a business when the owner makes the experience there a nightmare.

A pretty hip spot on Sunset a few blocks East of Highland. I was here this past weekend with some friends at night for the bar scene but looking at their website they have a pretty awesome menu throughout the day. I arrived just after they stopped serving food but their bangers and mash look awesome! A guy was eating them at the bar and I all but offered him money to have his plate of food.
The Cat & Fiddle has an awesome courtyard entrance with lots of tables before getting into the actual bar which feels like an old European pub. Tons of clever cocktails and a full bar to go with their awesome food.
We played darts for awhile and the bartender told of us a dart tournament going on this Wednesday at 8PM so we will certainly be back for that. A dart tournament and $4 Newcastles all night long, yes please!

I came here with a cheap ex bf and ended up walking a long distance till we got to the restaurant.. did I mention it was raining?
I was in such a crappola mood, the only thing I ordered was a bread pudding.  It wasn't my mood that made this bread pudding completely YUCK. I looked at the online menu recently and didn't see it on there. Go figure. The waitress sat us down and took 20 minutes to take our order. Another 20 to get JUST my bread pudding. I know it was a little bust, but it was JUST dessert.
I'm giving it two stars because there was other interesting stuff on the menu that I didn't get to order. We'll see. Bottom line... look at the menu before you hoof it here.

This place is great! I went on a first date here and while I'm probably biased because I ended up completely falling in love with the person, this was an ideal start to all that. The outdoor patio is beautiful. The food prices are all really reasonable too, which is sort of surprising since it feels like such a classy place on the patio. I can't speak for the dining experience inside the restaurant, but if you go for dinner, request to sit outside. My date and I both actually ate the Shepard's pie, which is a large portion with steamed veggies on the side. This place doesn't skimp on food. It's very tasty too.

My date is from the UK, so the fact this place got the real Brit seal of approval has to say something. It's real English food, with real English ciders and ales.

Nestled between some office buildings at the eastern end of Sunset Blvd. sits this old charm English pub.  The Cat and Fiddle has been a fixture in this area for years and if there is such a thing as a neighborhood bar in Hollywood, this is it.

The garden is complete with a fountain, lots of foliage, lots of seating and lots of heat lamps and it's a perfect place for dining, drinking or enjoying the live music.  Thursday nights feature a DJ who spins music under the stars and every Sunday from 7-11, there is live jazz.

Inside the restaurant is just as cozy as outside.  There are more tables, a large screen tv (for watching your favorite sports (they feature English Premier games for those who are soccer fans)), dart boards (they hold monthly dart tournaments), and two large bars.

The food is pretty good.  Shepard's pie happens to be my favorite.  But also the burgers and sandwiches are great too.  The entrees range between $8-$16, so prices are very reasonable.  The best part is the beer, of course.  English beers such as Newcastle, Bass, Fuller's and Whatney are on tap.  For $5, you can get a pretty good pint.   The bartenders also make a pretty good Bloody Mary for the perfect Sunday morning cocktail (my staple, the Stoli Bloody Mary will cost you $8.)

So if you find yourself in the neighborhood during a lazy afternoon, stop by, have a beer or 2, relax and don't get caught up in the quick paced and crazy vibe that makes Hollywood, well, Hollywood.

Wow, I love this place and their sweet courtyard!

My friend had a gender reveal party for her new pregnancy and we reserved a table outside in the courtyard with no issues. The wait staff were gracious, accommodating, not hurried or rushing us and just all around kind. What a great time had by all!

The crab claw dish is delicious. Yum, yum, yum. The sangria was just ok, but I will was willing to overlook that because the service was so spectacular.

I will definitely plan another party here!

We had a party of about 15 people here last Tuesday for my husband's surprise birthday party.  Our waitress, Kimberly, was PERFECT.  She answered everyone's questions about everything and was so helpful in ensuring everyone had what they needed, and in a quick manner.  She was also really friendly and helpful when it came to taking care of everyone at the party -- even though everyone had ordered many different drinks, all different kinds of entrees, and didn't order anything at the same time as anyone else ... who does one keep it all straight?  I don't know, but KIMBERLY DID!  Wow.

Our food was great, the drinks kept a-flowing, and it was beautiful night out on the patio.  Everyone got their food and drink on, and the party went out without a hitch.  This is absolutely due to the C&F's staff for doing such a tremendous job.  I admit I was unsure about booking here after reading some reviews, but do yourself a favor... just have your party here!  You will not regret it.

I really am a fan of this place and have been coming here for years.
The food is delicious tho not especially authentic, which is where they lost that final star from me.
WARNING English or Commonwealth Expats - They do not have Meat Pies!
They have cottage pie, they have pot pie, they even have a Guinness steak and mushroom pie (in a pot with the crusty thing on top) but no real deal flaky casing like London Pie used to make!
I was much disappointed as there really are so few places to get this Anglosized delight.
Otherwise, the pub is delightful with a cute courtyard, pretty decent bar/wine selection and a hefty food selection (apparently the scotch eggs are nom nom nom!)

Had a GREAT lunch with friends. Their fish and chips was perfect. I am a New Yorker and I love a good fish and chips and I will be back here again.

My friends ordered the sea bass special and they said it was very good.

This is a nice place to take a time off.

I came down here on Wednesday night to meet some clients and network (to see if I can move on in my work industry) along with a few other people from work.  The food was really good, and our server was nice an friendly.

We sat in the outside patio area...the environment was quiet and peaceful.  I don't drink much, but I do enjoy the food here and the vibes.  There were lots of cheese plates ordered.  I shared a Bangers & Mash, and also had some of their Happy Hour Pizza.

I am looking forward to trying out the Sheppard's Pie next time.

This is most definitely a place you can go with a group of friends and have a good time.
