Came here before heading to the Coheed and Cambria concert down the street at the Congress Theater. Â It was conveniently located so why not, eh?
Upon walking in, I noticed the place wasn't kept up very well. Â And upon being seated, I confirmed this place was a dump! Â The table we sat on was riddled with crumbs and the paper place mats the waitress brought over had little stains on them. Â Â
Speaking of waitress, the service was bare minimum. Â She greeted us with the enthusiasm of someone going to a doctor's appointment. Â No eye contact, no smile. Â Â
The only reason I didn't give Congress Pizzeria one star was because the pizza was NOT the worst pizza I've ever had. Â The crust was off but the topping weren't bad. Â
This place needs a serious decor upheaval. It looks like it's stuck in the 1980s and probably hasn't had a good scrubbing since then.
Called to order delivery - was told to try it out by a couple people.
I placed an order that totaled around $32 dollars.
Was told when i started to give credit card # that they can't accept credit card orders over $28!!!
Isn't that when people use credit cards - when they don't have a lot of cash on hand?
I told her then that I would just have to cancel the order - to which she seemed surprised. Â Really Congress Pizza? Â Really? Â I'm the first person that tried to order more than $28 of food with a credit card?
After I hung up I realize that she could have offered to do two transactions - but I guess they would rather not have my business.
