All in all, I really liked this bar, I just wish two things:
1. it were easier to get to (Ugh @ the G train)
2. they took credit/debit
That being said, I really liked this bar--the cocktails were delicious (the dark and stormy was the best I've had in NYC so far!) and their food selection is great! Â Not a big beer drinker, but their menu was also excellent. Â We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a good time, I just wish I lived closer, or that it was easier to get to. Â Well, maybe it's a good thing... :)
Was super excited to try this place based upon the reviews here, and maybe I got an off day but the bartender was very eh. We first posted up by the window and waited for a while and received no service, we moved to the bar and waited some more, even though the middle aged Mitch Hedberg look-a-like saw us and then didn't come take our order. Finally a middle aged blonde came over and took my order first. My boyfriend ordered a beer and she informed them they were out of that and something else she couldn't remember and then immediately started to walk away. It wasn't busy, no one else was waiting to order, she was just bailing.
Also, cash only. Their ATM has a $2 service fee so plan accordingly. Didn't have a chance to try the food, but can't see any reasons for returning to do so.
