Typical dive
The service is meh, the food is good, the atmosphere is very divey, and the drinks are pretty cheap. Overall this place is the definition of a dive bar. The decor is typical beer signs and a few televisions while the everything in there has clearly been around for a few decades. It does make up for the atmosphere with some cheap drinks and some average to better than average food which is also pretty cheaply priced for the portions.
The server didn't seem to know the pitcher prices, even though I found out after I ordered bud light that PBR was $2 cheaper via a chalkboard right by the bar.
They have enough televisions that more than half the seats have a view of the game so it wouldn't be a terrible place to catch a game.
This is the most neighborhoody bar in Fountain Square. Â It's a low-key, unpretentious dive bar, and I definitely mean that in a good way. Â Their pizza is fantastic, fun selection of 80s jams on the jukebox (I heard Journey like 3 times when I was there) and the service is friendly. Â The music isn't so loud that you can't talk to the people that you're with. And now that it's non-smoking you probably won't die of an asthma attack in there. Â I would go back for sure.
