Still a great and fast place to eat! disappointed with the Iced Tea..they leave it out and fruit flies die in it... I have told them several times and .......nothing is done about it. Anyways everything else is Awesome! Cool people unlike when I go to Elysian brewery on Crapital Hill...They are heartless and not friendly!

The food is always really good. Never had a complaint about anything related to food/drink.

My husband and I went to lunch with a couple friends and the service today was awful. It took 45 minutes from the time we sat down until the time our food arrived at the table. In addition, our friend ordered a drink and never received it. We were not billed for it, but the fact that the waiter didn't bring the drink is bothersome.  While we had our lunch today, I noticed a woman walking around the restaurant asking all the tables how things were. She appeared to be a manager. She went to every table and didn't stop at ours.

Again, the food is always good, but today's service wasn't the best.

I ordered the mac and cheese. I personally was greatly dissapointed, I feel as if they should have had been more creamy. To my dissapointment I didnt even eat it. My friend date sure loved them and ate the most of it, than we gave the rest to a homeless man.

I was impressed with the beer. Sampler of several great ones. That was good!

Haven't tried the food yet, beer is good. Several nitro beer choices

I've always liked the feel of this place and no problems with the service, but the beer was just okay and sometimes the food was miserable.  Have started going again this year after five years of avoiding it, I found a few beers I quite like (El Jefe and nitro Cream Porter, still not awesome but more impressive than what I remember) and the food's been great now for a third consecutive visit.  Their burgers are spendy but very good and very large - split one, maybe?  The reuben is super, one of the best in town, I think - Boar's Head pastrami and well-drained sauerkraut so the bread isn't soggy by the time you're ready for the second half.  Good comeback, folks...I'm glad to have you back in my orbit.

Went here for breakfast.  The food was mediocre.  The bloody mary was $4 and it was great, but without good food to go with it, I probably won't be back.  Service and everything else were good.  Maybe lunch is where it's at here?

Hale's makes good beer but drab food. Their roast chicken is served au jus for a reason: if it wasn't soaking in broth it's be inedible, overcooked, dry, and with a burned sort of flavor that was fundamentally unappetizing. The accompanying mashed potatoes with spinach and bacon should have been a slam dunk but was instead bland, with overcooked bacon and listless, uncreamy potatoes. Not worth the sixteen dollars I paid.

While reading through the other reviews I was shocked to see that so many people rated the food as bad here. I have to say I've only ever gotten Hale's burgers and man do they do them right.

The HSB Burger is the best I've ever had in Seattle and as my waistline will tell, I've had a lot of burgers.

Ok so here is my break down:

Food 5/5 (at least for the burgers) - Absolutely delicious. I've been here probably 5 times and have never been in the least bit disappointed in them.

Beer 4/5 - It's quite good but not magical. Like most people I enjoy quite good beer.

Service 3/5 - They're not rude or anything but this is one area Hales could definitely improve upon. It seems like it always takes a little longer than it should.

Price 4/5 - They charge maybe a $1 more than you would expect for the really good burgers but it is worth it! The beer is very reasonably priced.

Love this place. We joined the mug club and if you go a lot at the beginning of the year you get a nice little credit. I enjoy the food (especially like that they use local companies) and their beer (I like their creams and IPA's). During the summer I come a lot more because they are very dog friendly and sitting on their padio is just as nice as the inside.

Good happy hour food prices, but the beer is just lacking something to me... not sure what it is. I've had the Amber, the IPA and the winter seasonal and all were just kind of ok. But if you need dinner and drinks for two for under $20, this is a good bet!

Came here, and was wowed by the amazing burgers, and also the prompt, non-overbearing good service.  I ordered the Bacon-Blue Cheese burger medium rare.  Came out exactly as ordered, tasty, and incredibly yummy, crispy bun.  I normally am not wowed by the bread for burgers.  This bun was soft, but perfectly crispy on the outside.  The fries are thick, baked fries, which the server told us, when one of our party said they wanted "crispy" fries.

I was really impressed with the flavor of my burger and how seamless the service was (refills came quietly as we were talking as the server noticed we were running low).

First time here, will be back!

    HAIKU REVIEW!

    Good beers and nice vibe.
A pub where you bring your kids!
    Don't get them drunk, though.

If you must hit up Hales, this is the place to do it.  Their beer is meh- its not a favorite.  Stick to the Supergoose- unless... there was once they had their milk stout on Nitro here, maybe they always do, check it out!  Great use of a nitro tap!  Also, they do have a very nice Kolsch.  Its not my typical style of beer, but from what I have had, this one is pretty outstanding.

Food is decent, sometimes rather yummy even.  Service has always been just fine.  Location is alright, though parking can be a bitch.  The decor and atmosphere are okay, but somewhat off putting.  I guess this is because they are a restaurant and brew pub... ie: families and wine-drinkers welcome.  Still, of the Hale's locations I have been to- this one is the best.

This is literally a microbrewery with a brewpub next door. When eating at the bar you can look out the windows and see the fermentors, kool! Decided to sit at the bar and try some samplers. Interestingly enough, they charge here per sampler so you can pick and sample whatever you want. There are 3 pricing tiers with the flagship regulars being 1.35$ and seasonals 1.75$. Sampled 8 different beers and the bartender was nice enough to split serving these across 2 sessions so that the beer did not warm up. Really good beer and think I liked the Cream HSB the best. Looking at the food menu and pint prices, this is definitely the brewpub I would be a regular if I lived in the area. Would love to come back and try the food.

We were in the area and decided to stop in to get a pitcher to enjoy outside on a lazy Saturday afternoon. We did manage to find a table available outside, but were disappointed in the patio itself. It feels more like a loading dock, with it's view of an equipment and/or public storage parking lot and the chairs were uncomfortable enough to dissuade us from ordering a second pitcher.

The service was okay, although the first person at our table brought us silverware without saying a single word, despite us addressing him. No "Hello," "Thanks for coming," or "You're welcome" when we thanked him. We'd eventually learn he wasn't our waiter, but your first interaction with anyone in the establishment shouldn't make you feel invisible.

The kolsch was okay, but I agree with Jennifer B. that is was a bit bitter for the style. I REALLY like their Cream Ale, but I'm pretty sure there are dozens of better places to drink it than the brew pub. We didn't eat, but I can't say I'm interested in giving it a whirl. Me thinks they should just stick to brewing.

I've been to Hale's several times for beer, including a round of Christmas Eve beers with the family, but now that I've had the full dinner experience, I feel qualified to write an actual review.

First, I love the extensive selection of beers on tap. I don't like all the beers, but the sheer selection ensures there's something for everyone. My favorites are the 'El Jefe' hefeweizen and the semi-famous cream ale.

Second, I love the layout, atmosphere, and overall vibe of Hale's. Since Hale's is a real brewpub, you can see brewing machinery to the right as you enter the pub. Inside the pub are the bar, many well-lit tables, and even a few sofas for more casual interaction. There's also a seating area outside. Even on a Friday night during dinner time, it's not super loud or busy inside. I like that. You can really relax and unwind.

Finally, I like the food. The chicken adobo is amazing. The chicken breast was tender and thoroughly grilled. The adobo was very flavorful, yet mild. Vinegar, paprika, oregano, onions... Mmm! A generous bed of Spanish rice took care of the extra adobo, and a few florets of freshly steamed broccoli were a tasty garnish. Service, as with previous visits, was great... And since there were some open tables the whole time we were there, we felt comfortable finishing our pints without rushing. As I suggested earlier, it's a very relaxing, casual place.

I did not find this place to be very good.  I liked the ambiance and the awesome leather love seats we got to sit in, but other than that it was pretty meh.

    Beer:
    - Their hefeweizen isn't ready yet or something, so I had one from Levanworth.  Not that amazing.  It was OK but I've definitely had much better hefeweizens.
    - I tried their Kolsch beer after that.  Not that great either.  Not terrible but too bitter for such a light beer.

    Food:
    - We started with a caesar salad to split - it was fine, totally acceptable for a caesar salad but nothing special
    - For my entree I had the baked mac and cheese.  I expected it to be amazing - after all it is baked mac and cheese.  It was bad!  Not like, unedible, but definitely not up to the standards of other baked mac and cheeses.
    - My husband had a burger for his entree - he said it was good.

So overall - 2 stars.  Need to up the beer and food quality.

5 stars for the beers. 1 for the food.

I've been here a few times, but had the cream ale on tap 2 years before I even moved to Seattle. The cream ale is my kind of beer - perfect texture, not heavy, light and crisp with a wonderful nitro feel. I absolutely love it. Their other beers are consistently good - I've cooked with their pale ale (beer + ketchup meatballs in a crockpot - you won't be sorry), enjoyed their winter warmers, enjoyed their fall ales.

The first time I came here to eat was awhile ago, and the food was great. Delicious burger, companion had a great fish sandwich. Really, really good.

I came back in September of last year, remembering that the food had been great, and excited about my cream ale. This was the first place in Seattle that I took my boyfriend to, and man, was I excited. What a huge letdown. The beers were great, no surprise - but service was shoddy and the food was just plain awful. Seriously. I have eaten better food in hospital cafeterias. Bland, soggy burgers, boring sides, totally tasteless french fries. I was incredibly unhappy that I picked this as my boyfriend's first foray into Seattle cuisine.

Go for a couple of pints. The atmosphere is quite nice - but don't order the food.

Happy hour dinner was well done at Hale's. Listen guys its not that I need to be treated like a prince every where I go, I frankly don't expect it. However, when you get the prince/princess treatment you just notice it that much more.

I should take thank you notes with me when I go out for incidents such as what we experienced last night. The waiter was awesome very very attentive. He made sure we were well taken care of and just had a great cadence to his service.

The food was abundant and good good good to the tummy tummy tummy. I like the fact that there was BBQ beef brisket on the Nachos... NICE work.

The beer her is solid and the fact that they bring in other local brews is really a cool social idea.

You all take a moment and go out there and try them out.

Hale's is a little gem.  We went during the 2nd day of snowmageddon and it was a great find.  The restaurant is a cozy little cluster located right in the heart of the brewery.  The room is peacefully lit, nice dark woods, beautiful bar, and seating with views of either the inside of the brewery or outside.

You know the Hale's beers, so no beer review here.

We went in hoping for comfort food, and we were rewarded!  Local ingredients are used as much as possible throughout their menu which is cool.

The HSB, Hales' Super Burger, is a Painted-Hills (read: TASTY) beef, with bacon, avocado, caramelized onions and other delectable.  Yum.

The Meatloaf was fantastic.  I am on a Meatloaf Tour right now and  this was a number 1 or number 2 at the top of the list.  Perfectly cooked beef in a mushroom gravy.  2 big slices which were both nicely crisped on the edges.  Served with some great skin-on mash potatotes.  High five for this meatloaf.

Reasonable pricing, Good beer, Good food.  Put Hale's in your queue.

    Cheers!

Great fresh craft beers, and guest beers too. For food I usually get the salmon filet burger or similar. This latest visit I did notice that the quality of the piece of fish went down since what I have had there before. This time it was smaller and over cooked. We went with friends and their two young sons and the place was surprisingly accommodating for the kids. The boys were fascinated with being able to look at the brewer itself while we waited for the food to come out. Server also gave the kids crayons and coloring pages.

Oh, and they are great for supporting local community performing arts as well in their "Hale's Palladium out back in their former warehouse space!

I can respect that maybe one shouldn't veer from burgers or buffalo wings at a joint like this. I can dig that, really.

But if that's the case, then they should trim down their menu to just honest, greasy beer drinking grub and not mess with things like the pitiful $15 blackened (read 'dry') caeser (really? $15 for iceberg and ranch?). Nor should they attempt bbq pork sandwiches if they're not aware that as simple as BBQ sounds, if it's not cared for and cooked nice and slow and served on a decent piece of bread, it just tastes like luke-warm Manwich. And jo-jo's should be hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy potato on the inside -- I think the steak fries under the red lamp at the Safeway deli would trump whoever is slacking off behind the deep frier at Hales.

I honestly don't know why so many people would keep coming back to a joint like this, at least for the food.

Have a couple pints, then go find dinner elsewhere. A McDonalds McRib combo and one of their salads will be on par with Hale's: You'll only spend around $10 for the whole meal, and it'll be better because it won't pretend to be anything other than the quick, mediocre fast food you expect when you hand them your cash and not feel obligated to tip the server for it.

    Cheers.

I went here with a group for a friend's birthday. The beer was good. Service was ok.

Got up, went for smoke, came back inside, went to use the restroom and came back to the table to find that the I had been "cut off". I thought it was a joke at first, but no. So I asked to speak to the manager on duty, Andy, and he was rude and unprofessional, who stated that he'd seen me kiss a man I didn't even know (who had followed me into the establishment) and that he saw it himself. Not only did I feel like I was being called a liar, but I didn't understand how or why - even though I did not kiss anyone - that would lead to my being cut off.

I suspect the person might have been homeless and caused a scene when I was in the restroom and Andy blamed me for his being there, as he came in the bar behind me.

At any rate, it was just a strange situation.

I will not be doing business with this establishment again.

I had a craving for fish and chips and since we had just finished shopping at Fred Meyer we decided to pop into Hale's for a quick bite.  After perusing the menu I noticed they didn't have fish and chips.  In hindsight I don't know why I would have thought they would have fish and chips...hmm...oh, anyways...

We got there at the tail end of brunch and after looking at the lunch selections I decided to go with a cheese omelet.  I mean who can screw up breakfast right?  Well, the omelet itself was alright but nothing spectacular - definitely not worth $9.00.  The worst part of it all were the home fries...they were stale and just gross.  I realize it was the tail end of brunch but meh.  My boyfriend had the Reuben with a salad and said it was decent but not the best one he had.  His side pickle was very sad...not even a quarter slice...more like 1/16th of a spear.

Probably won't be back...food wasn't great, prices were high for what you got, and I don't drink beer.  Oh and no fish and chips...

I'm sold the moment I walk in the door and smell the hops. The overwhelming hops. The hops that makes me happy, but would potentially be aversive to a non-beer drinker (Judas!). Luckily, the only reason one has to be in the hoppy area is to tell the host how many seats the group needs. Then, it's in to the well sealed seating area -- a restaurant within a beer factory!

Hale's sells all of its own brews -- both the ones you can easily find in bottles and other seasonal or other hard to find offerings. Great stuff, especially if you're in to cream ales/stouts/etc. They also have a full bar, wine, and sodas for the non-beer drinkers who make it past the olfactory barrier of hops.

The pub is spacious and comfortable, with a variety of seating options ranging from booths, to stools, to little lounge areas where you can catch up with friends over drinks.

The food's not bad either. The burgers are decent, but the real selling point is the JoJos! I like fries, I like tots, but it's also nice to see something different on the menu and a mondo potato wedge with an endearing name is a tasty change of pace. Highly recommended, although with potato wedges one has to know they'll be a bit soft, so don't get them if you want crispy.

The major downfall here is that your bill can add up quickly. The burgers are a bit pricier than other local places and, obviously, you pay a bit of a premium for good beer. I suggest you consider happy hour if you're worried.

Pretty psyched to try brunch here at some point. Again, items looks a bit pricier than the equivalent at nearby places, but (a) the food was good enough that I don't mind (b) they have Zoka coffee and (c) I won't buy the coffee -- I'll have a morning beer!

    Oh Hale's.
    How you surprised me.

Im a fan of their beer that you can get at the grocer - Red Menace and El Jefe  being good solid easy drinking beers. I was expecting to at least like what I was drinking.

For a Pub this place has a bit of style going on. No crap on the walls, no loud music and harsh light. They have a separate area for "families" (under 21 crowd) and for those over, and the "over" area suited my tastes just fine. Dimly lit. Comfortable (they even had giant squishy love-seats to imbibe on if you so chose).

Beers. What can I say? I was in love with their Cream Stout (go nitro!), their Barely wine was super hoppy and flavorful, and their German styled lager was a pleaser (im generally not the biggest fan of lagers. Kudos to Hale's for making one i enjoyed drinking).

The food, well. I was happy. Rockfish and chips that were ginormous. I finished the fish but had so many of the lovely seasoned chips left that even the boy couldn't finish them. Boy had their H.S.B burger -- Beecher's cheese, bacon, avocado. DAMN TASTY.  I think he was more enamored with the beer and eating experience than I was (He said he wished we lived closer!).

Also of note. Growlers. They fill them. And for pretty damn cheap compared to the prices I am used to at Pike's and Rogue. Left with a half gallon of Troll Porter and couldn't be happier,

Will make it a point to come back and often.

If you're a fan of the chicken sandwich then you have to try the grilled chicken sandwich at Hales and get it topped with their spicy Jamaican jerk sauce and you'll be in flavor heaven. Their Jamaican jerk sauce is made up of Jamaican Habaneros, Serrano peppers, ginger, cilantro, nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice. Add up all those delicious ingredients and you got yourself a receipt for destruction! The spiciness factor of that Jamaican jerk sauce is absolutely perfect. It's not too outrageously hot nor is it too dull. So again if you're a spicy food love freak like me then get this sauce and put on everything and anything you can order at Hales.

As for the service at Hales it was nothing but perfect. Aaron was our waiter that evening  and he was nothing but the best. He was quick and courteous and even offered to pitch in on our tab(kiddingly). So I really look forward to eating at Hales again very very very soon!! And don't worry Jamaican jerk sauce you'll always have a place in my heart.

They only offer Hale's beers, but newbies and hardcore beerhounds alike can find something to like in their lineup. They generally have stuff on that's not pouring in other bars, which is nice.
Service can range from awesome to kind of flaky, but they generally hire attractive people, if eye candy makes any difference to you. The meat loaf is really fantastic, and they have a bunch of other stuff on the food menu that's solid. The dining room is big and sprawling, and you can even sit on a couch and eat off a coffee table, which is really homey. They also have booths and window tables. No one thing about Hale's reaches out and grabs you as amazing, but they have been pushing the craft beer business forward for nearly three decades and I am still nowhere near tired of what they have to say.

Their Jamaican Jerk Chicken Caesar Salad is a wonderful thing and I will be ordering it now when I'm at Hales now until the end of time!

Or at least until they take it off the menu... which they better NOT EVER do. You hear me Hales?? Don't you do it. Don't even THINK about it.

Seriously though, the jerk/ caesar combo sounds odd, but it totally works. The jerk sauce is much more spicy than I anticipated and with slight hints of cinnamon and anise, it's a perfect companiont to their housemade caesar dressing.

I ordered both dressings on the side and it was a good idea.

Rejoice fellow salad eaters: At Hales, you can actually get your caesar dressing on the side WITHOUT the waitstaff rolling their eyes at you. Where else does that happen around town?

Also- yes, I normally opt for beer here, but I do appreciate that they have Root 1 Cab by the glass.

    Good show, Hales... Good show.

PS- The beer here? Still great.

In the full disclosure column, I am an unabashed lover of the Hales Brewery products.  I used to go across the lake from Seattle to visit him at the Kirkland Roaster long before he ever bottled.  I kept him in business during my days at the Blue Moon enjoying the Porter.  I was at the current Brewpub opening night and am a Mug Club member (more about that later)

As Mike Hales says: "The Main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing"

So any review of a brewery needs to start with the beer, this will be short:
Freakin Awesome.  Great selection across the spectrum of styles, each a quality product.  Highlights: the Dublin style taps.

    Now the Brewpub:

Getting There: Parking is a pain in the ass, 'nuff said

Once there:  Nice cozy environment, I like the variety of seating.  Booths for groups, stools at the bar for singles, or couches for chillin.

Now for a criticism, it's time to bring some professional management to the brewpub;  I'll give two examples why

Example 1:  The salmon sandwich - (In the burger section of the menu for some reason)

This sandwich and I have a long history:  First it was an awesome King fillet occasionally offered as a special on the 'fresh sheet'.

Eventually it was downgraded to a ground Salmon Patty, although if you asked they would prepare it as an intact fillet for the same price.

Recently they have implemented a $3 upcharge for the fillet and it's kinda nasty, tastes like old chum or silver salmon. So this make for a $13 sandwich.  Summary if your going to do it, do it right or don't do it (Just keep the main thing ...)

Example 2: The mug club.  Like most brewpubs you could buy in and have a personalized mug on the hook rack.  Initially, there were going to be club gatherings, newsletters, etc. etc.  Never happened

What bar / restaurant would not like a roster of people that have declared a loyalty, much less paid to do so.  They completely screwed this one up.

Enough bitching.  The pluses far, far, far outweigh the minuses and this is still the best place in town to do a little elbow bending.

Also, Don't miss the smoked salmon chowder (OK sis?)

    See you there!

If you don't love Hale's beer, don't bother.

Fairly okay home cooking like mom would make, if your mother was an alcoholic with a microwave and a toaster oven.

Come for the beer, and if you're hungry, the eating experience isn't so bad.  Not a value, but doable.

Went here for after-dinner libations & dessert.  The interior is fairly chill, and the dining area looks out onto the actual brewing facility.   They also had lots of posters up for local events in the area--nice source of info.

I went for a beer sampler.  Man, it looked scary!  There were only 5 samples, but they were in 5-ounce glasses--more than I was prepared for!  So, I had some help needless to say.  I can't say anything negative about their brews.  They were very tasty.

This is one of the first times I've had a beer with Nitrogen-infused drafts.  Basically think of a Guiness and the frothy heads they have.

The desserts were both tasty, but the Brownie thingie we shared was definitely my favorite.

Serious clusterfuck comes to mind when I think of the last few visits here. The most recent was an attempt at breakfast this past Sunday with the child and Ian.

    Busy? Sort of.

    Under staffed? As usual.

    Terrible service? Uh, yeah.

It took 15 minutes to order our food. It took an hour for that food to come up. And when it did it wasn't hot and it wasn't good. Michael, our server, had no problems blaming others for why we didn't receive our food in a timely manner and when I said I wanted to talk to the manager we watched as he pointedly avoided his manager. Our order was two Average Joes (one scrambled eggs and bacon, and the other eggs over medium and sausage). The sausages were ice cold with two of them looking barely cooked. The bacon was cold. The child's eggs benedict was probably the only meal actually cooked prior to coming out. There's also the bullshit wait for stupid screwdrivers because they ran out of OJ. Out of orange jiuce on a Sunday? Poor form and I told him so. Of course he immediately told me to give him a break as he was overwhelmed or overloaded. Whatever.

As for the manager, Bill. Well I witnessed him once tell a table of dads and their babies to be quiet or leave.

Honestly, this place has been going severely down hill for years now and I've only ever come here out of convenience. But I gotta say this is it, no more, never again.

The beer here?  Very enjoyable.  Definitely go, and sample lots of it.  You have my blessing.  The service?  Adequate.  Nothing special, no glaring lapses.

The food, is to be avoided.  I've given this place a few tries, with a few different items on the menu, to no avail.  My pizza was all cheese, super soggy, and just barely cooked enough.  It made me feel ill and I didn't finish it.  My salmon sandwhich, was also soggy, and very nearly flavorless.  The jo-jos, are also, you guessed it, soggy.

I loved the pub atmosphere, it brings me back to road trips with my parents when I was a pup.  But I really prefer getting my micro-brews somewhere where I can stand to eat the food.

Someone a while back mentioned Hale's as having good man n cheese and since I've made it my mission this year to try all mac n cheese in the city it was added to my list.  On Friday night I wanted to try Pair's but the boy wasn't into it so he picked Hale's.

We walk in and were seated right away.  We check out the menu, I decide on a glass of the Red Menace Big Amber and the baked mac n cheese, the boy he gets a coke, order of Jo Jo's and the mac n cheese as well.  The drinks arrive and the Amber is full flavored and very hoppy just the way I like my Ambers.  The Jo Jo's arrive and I steal one, yuck they were soggy and tasted like Ore Ida seasoned country fries I wasn't a fan but the boy he sure loved them.

I patiently waited for the arrival of my mac n cheese it finally arrived I couldn't wait to dig in.  All of a sudden I smell something funny, I sniff the mac n cheese and something doesn't smell right.  I took a bite and heaved a little in my mouth.  The boy took a bite and pretty much did the same thing.  Have you ever burned a bag of microwave popcorn so bad it caught on fire in the microwave?  You know how that smells right well that's how this mac n cheese smelled and tasted, at least to me.  I decided to try a bite from the other side of the dish to see if maybe it was just that side that tasted funny but nope it was the whole thing.  I turned my plate around and went for the veggies.  The veggies were steamed but COLD not good either.  I was going to say something to the server but the boy stopped me because people all around us were happily eating the mac n cheese.

Service was good, mac n cheese not so good, actually the worst I've tried so far.  Never again will I try Hale's mac n cheese.  Based on the mac n cheese alone 0 stars, but the service was ok maybe equal to three stars so over all I'll give them two stars.

Love Hale's Ales for their beer and food!  A comfortable, cozy place for a few pints and some grub, especially in winter.  Dark inside with lots of booths and couches.  When you step inside the door, the smell of brewing beer hits you, and I for one love that smell.  Almost as good as the aging room at Ste Michelle.

My current favorite beer is their Winter Ale, and their Stout is very very good too.  I like dark beers though.  Try the Barleywine!  It's very strong and a little sweet so it comes only in a small, cute size.  Food wise, I always order the steamed clams and a pub salad, which you can get spicy walnuts and blue cheese crumbles on.  Yum.

As a new owner of a kegerator, I think the first keg will be Hale's, as I've heard from other keg'r owners that they have decent prices and you can get Co2 from them, too.  Down the hatch!

Edited to say: they do not have Co2 after all, but their kegs are around $100!  For GOOD beer.  Yahoo!
