I have always been a fan of these amazing sandwiches...much better than anything you can find at Subway! This location is close to home and after reading the reviews I had to get delivery. I can confirm that the delivery guy, Willie, is absolutely amazing! Even if you live close by, opt for delivery and say hi to Willie, you won't regret it!

Although I have had really great experiences at other Jimmy Johns locations, this particular store was really disappointing.

They made the wrong sandwich and we didn't find out till we got home. When I called them about it the women we spoke to, Angelica, was very un-apologetic, and not at all friendly or accommodating. She did not apologize once. When we got back to the store to return it, she again had the same attitude. I called and spoke to the manager, Josh, the next day and he seemed dis-interested as well. Also, not apologizing or offering any sort of consideration. I imagine this is where the customer service issues stem from.

Ultimately took over a hour to get a sandwhich right. Although this place is close to our house, it's just not worth the hassle.

This place only gets two stars because of the food. The staff and service here are horrible. No one seems to speak English and they all seem like they are forced to be at work.  I will be going to a different Jimmy Johns from now on.

I have to say that I am not so much into Jimmy John's sandwiches. I do not like their bread. I do not know why but atmosphere is worse than the one at Potbelly or Subway.

At this location service is OK. The establishment is clean.

Jimmy John's will always be my last option after Potbelly  and Subway.

While out shopping at Wags, noticed a long line for Jimmy John's. Today was "customer appreciation day" and they were offering $1 subs. Darn nice of 'em! I got there just in time to be the last one, at 3pm. I ordered a BLT and asked for all the trimmings. What I got was decent (it was only $1 after all) - but it was missing all the extra trimmings I asked for. Kinda disappointed. But I've always loved their sandwiches since arriving back into town and I'll continue to get food from there.

Haven't been inside here for years, we always just order online. The sandwiches are simple, but the online ordering process is slick and they always get our order right.

Local Jimmy John's.  The place is pretty darn nice.  The people who work there are awesome- including the delivery guy who seems to work the entire open to close shift.  When I see him off duty- he always waves.  I think that is half the reason why I remember to go back and order from these guys.  HE is pretty darn kind.

Food is Jimmy John's!  Standard issue- no problems, nothing special, subs pretty fast, quality consistent.

PET PEEVE.  They list this store as ROGERS PARK.  yeah.  It is in EDGEWATER.  HUGE difference.  Different ward in the city, different community, different ZIP CODE, but for some reason- they will not change it.  Kind of a slap in the face for those of us who choose to make edgewater our home.  What, are the marketing people so dumb they cannot figure it out, or so stubborn they will not change it?

I must say I like Jimmy John's. They make a decent sandwich. This particular location is clean and yes they make a sandwich so fast you'll freak - or whatever the catch phrase is. Actually, I did freak a bit but not because the sub assembly speed blew me away. Rather the comments made by the staff were rather humorous in a "I'm not sure I should be working here" category.

My friend inquired about the tuna sub. Here is how it played out:
    "How is the tuna sandwich?"
"Errr, well, I've never tried it but I would not recommend it"

"Would not recommend it? Why not?"
"Well I don't know what they put in it"

    "The sandwich or the tuna?"
"Well both, wait no, we make the sandwich and stuff but I don't know about the tuna"

"Hmmm ok I'll try the turkey sub. I'll take a cookie too, how much?"
"They're like 2 dollars, yeah I know it's like expensive. I would not recommend them"

This guy sure knew how to up-sell.  I suppose if I asked him for a recommendation I would've walked out hungry.

This is how a sub place should work.  The ingredients are always fresh, the wait time is non-existent, and they have two of the greatest subs ever made (Italian Night Club and Ultimate Porker).    JJ's is the best of all the fast food sub places (Potbelly, Subway, Quizno's), and this location does nothing to change that.   It's not overly spectacular, but it's a solid place, with consistently good food, and when all you want is a tasty sub, it's tough to do better.

The tuna fish sandwich was absolutely disgusting. I couldn't even eat it.

I live at Loyola University Chicago...that's right.  I work there, I'm a graduate student there--thus I live there.  It takes about 3 weeks to make the rounds of area restaurants before you realize that a good, solid sandwich is all that would really make your heart sing.  And thus I found Jimmy John's and have never been disappointed.

Their sandwiches are great: I love the multi-grain bread (that is the "health conscious" line I'm *supposed* to use when discussing bread--what I really love is the usual white roll they use...it's absolutely delicious...but seriously, the multigrain is excellent).  I'm not a vegetarian per se but my favorite sandwich is the veggie b/c it's always fresh tasting and it comes with the avocado spread that is just so good.  I do have to say though that it seems a little over-processed to me; like Chipotle's guacamole, I like some chunkiness to my avocado-focused creations, if only to suggest authenticity to me.  The fact that it's called "spread" makes me wonder exactly what else is in there. But I still love it...it's salty and garlicky which gives the rest of the sandwich the vibe it needs.

In addition to my "veggie" self, I've also gotten the Pepe (ham and cheese) and the turkey sandwich as well.  It's all good.  And I love that the cheese du jour is provolone which actually looks real (unlike Subway's that they call provolone but comes in minuscule wedge-shaped pieces...I'm sorry, I'm not buyin' it.)

I also love the brand of chips they carry...especially the jalepeno...mmmm.

But here's my favorite part: This particular store's delivery guy is SO NICE.  I used to order from here multiple times a week and it was always the same delivery guy...one time he gave me a soda for free! (I think it was the outcome of someone else's order mistake but if you're givin' me a free diet coke, I'm takin' it--ya know).  Though I haven't gotten delivery in awhile, I still see him on campus and he remembers me! (I am a good tipper but this seems going above and beyond.)

I never hesitate to go to this store...when a sandwich is what I need to make the world as right as rain.

I am a Jimmy Johns lover.  I have been since my days at UofI.  I can remember them screwing up my order and bringing me a coupon for two free sandwhiches and a cookie.  However, at this Jimmy Johns, don't get the potato chips if you have them deliver.  Twice I have tried to get plain chips.  The first time I got a coke instead (I don't drink coke so I told the delivery girl she could keep it) and the second time I got BBQ chips.  Close, but not quite.  Overall delivery is pretty fast, but have them deliver at your own risk!

Fast service, never really that crowded, and the subs are up to par with any other place.  I agree with another reviewer, their pickles are awesome.  A little on the pricey side but you do get what you pay for.  Mmm...bootlegger's club...

Jimmy John's Sandwichez! Love 'em! I think my favorites are the BLT and the Veggie. On the veggie they put this avocado spread that just sort of combines so well with the cheese on the sandwich...my mouth is definitely happy when I am chomping on one of these. The bread is really good too...sort of soft and chewy. Service is always fast. OMG and their delivery...it's like the commercial says...freaky fast! When we order from the one that is near my job they are usually at our door in less than 20 minutes!

Personally, I like Jimmy John's better than Potbelly. The veggies are fresher and more plentiful.  I'm also just not a fan of toasted subs.

The Beach Club at JJ's is fantastic -- turkey, cheese, avocado, sprouts, lettuce and tomato.  One of my favorite sandwiches at any fast food joint.

Try the dill pickle, too.  It's a salty sour phenomenon that won't disappoint the most discriminating pickle fan.

Just moved in weeks ago but I've been to this Jimmy John's location twice so far.  Both times they have been the fastest Jimmy John's I've been to!  As always the food is good, and they always have enough of each type of Chips.  Since they are really fast, organized, and close to me I plan to go to this location frequently!
