Decent sandwiches. Fair wine selection (no prices on bottles for sale). Poor purchase policy. Poor service.

We stopped by to try this out. It is in a little alley way off Las Olas. The interior was a familiar sight, wine in self serving vexing machines. You choose the wine and one of the 3 pour sizes. This is nothing new but the manner in which you participate is different that our prior experiences with this kind of dispensary.

Elsewhere, you purchase by the actual drink(s). Here you need to purchase a card with a minimum purchase price. This means that you most likely will have some change left over on the card when you leave, unless you add to it and continue to drink. We didn't like that.

Next, the service was friendly but non-attentive. We were seated, read the rules, escorted to the counter to purchase our card, then basically ignored. We took our drinks, looked around, and noticed there was food. had to aggressively capture the servers attention to order some food.

We moved from inside to out to finish all then wandered away never to return.

Great place for a light lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Nice fresh sandwiches and tapas matched with wine suggestions. Quiet inner courtyard off the street. A fantastic way to sample a bunch of different new wines.

Used to be a great place, but has gone completely downhill.  We were here a year ago and had an excellent experience, so we searched out the place this year.  What a difference!  My wife and I are both very experienced in wine, and the servers here are not. Half the wines were empty, the place was not busy, and two of the wines we had were faulted.  When we told the staff, they did not care.  Stephanie said "it is probably just not your style of wine" when the other guy said "what do you mean by faulted?".  Clearly no idea.  Then I asked her if they taste every wine before serving it to customers and she said "they are all fresh when we open them."  HAH!  She finally snobishly offered to "make us happy" but only with their "house wine" which was crap.  I asked for Stephanie to at least cover the bad wines we dumped to which she said they can't do that.  long story short, if you know anything about wine, do not come here unless you are looking for a good laugh!  Oh, and ask for Stephanie!  :)

Over priced fron crapy wine! They had music in the court yard though which is kinda nice! Bathrooms were filthy and like 4 employees standing there talking doing nothing- go clean the bathroom idiots!! All in all- yeah this business won't last long

Just ok, wine is overpriced & not very good.  I have better wine at home.  Dont think we actually got the 2 for 1 deal advertised....I would not return.  Too many other good happy hour deals in town.

I came here on a Tuesday early afternoon at 12:00.

The restaurant was empty which was good for me because I was celebrating my birthday that day.  That should be taken intro perspective when reading my review. The service was great. The staff was very friendly and since I was there early I got a few free tastings since they were clearing out some bottles. The waitress even told me about tasting events that take place there.

The food was amazing. I had a baguette with mozzarella and tomato and it was delightful. The wine selection is pretty good.  They also have a good selection of cheeses, including my favorite- Brie. Also, the menu tells you which wine pairs well with the meal. Lastly, the pricing is very fair and parking is at those lots nearby for $3 first hour, $1.50 every hour after. You can eat here and then walk down to some boutiques!

The little patio area is so cute and relaxing. Definitely want to go back in the fall time and enjoy that little area.

I recommend this place for anyone that is a wine & cheese connoisseur.

Our first time here and it the perfect little place. Tucked back in off of Las Olas in the perfect little nook. Great selection of wines and the staff members are extremely knowledgeable & helpful. We will definitely be back and we recommend this establishment to all.

Rare for me to choose a random new place to celebrate my birthday (being that I am so picky and all)
    Glad I did!

The signage is seen off of Las Olas but it's not actually on Las Olas.
You walk through a passage that leads you to an adorable open courtyard and there you see the entrance to the cafe.

The first thing you see is a checkout counter and when you turn left you see the actual cafe. It is small and quaint. I would say they have about 45- 50 different types of wine on their vending system. The wines are separated into categories: red/white and then cabs, merlots, etc.

There are different options you can choose while here. You can buy a card which is $2.50 and then load it with different amounts $20-$30-$40 etc. You then choose if you want to purchase a sample, 1/2 glass or full glass from the vending system. If you decide to purchase a bottle of wine from the vending then the $20 from your card gets applied towards the purchase of the bottle. Good deal! Some other options include doing the $ 20.00  wine tasting which includes 5 different types of wine and a platter with cheese, crackers and fruit.  Some of my friends chose this one. I chose to split a bottle with some friends. The bottle gets discounted if you have it in house, about $ 10.00 off the marked price.

We were a party of 9 and we pretty much took over the place most of the night given that we were sitting dead center. I think it was a bit overwhelming to deal with us at first but they succeeded. Matt, our waiter, was amazing all night. He was patient and on top of everything. I would say he pretty much bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with our experience. And that, we were!
We made a lot of requests (like dimming the lights and switching the music) and he happily obliged! It can't be easy to deal with 9 women I tell ya!

We ordered appetizers right away. The croquetas took a little long to come out but they were worth the wait. So good! The empanadas were also pretty great. I did not care for the hummus or the baba ganoush too much. Not bad, just not impressive. The Paris salad has greens, goat cheese, dried cranberries, and a to die for mustard-shallot vinaigrette. That dressing was incredible!!!! It also comes with sliced baguette. The Canadian bacon brie melt and prosciutto di parma sandwiches were also outstanding.

They brought out a molten lava cake to sing Happy Birthday with and a peanut butter dessert but I can't remember it's details (darn wine amnesia) other than it having white chocolate in it too! Very good. I did not have coffee but some of my friends did and enjoyed it too.

Matt then itemized our checks to make it easier for everyone to pay. The chef came out at the end of the night to speak with us too! All the girls have been raving about their experience at LOWC! Everyone had a wonderful time and most importantly, duh, I had an unforgettable birthday night!

As a side note: SHAME ON YOU to the two women who sat outside and who skipped out on their bill after consuming about $ 100.00 of stuff. I hope the cameras caught your sorry ass mugs clearly so that you pay for what you did. SMH

The aged manchego melt w/ the duck pond pinot noir is amazing!!! The olive tapenade compliments the cheese. Great mid-day lunch.

With the weather being so nice this weekend I wanted to take advantage and stroll down Las Olas in search of a nice little place to eat outside. We stumbled upon Las Olas Wine Cafe and I'm glad we decided to stay. It's off the beaten path and has a sweet little courtyard all to itself. Perfect for a cozy little lunch. They have craft beers in a fridge and wine in a dispenser by the glass. A server was very helpful in assisting me pick out a great Savignon Blanc. We sat outside of course and ordered the Southwest Chicken wrap and the Oven Roasted chicken wrap (both under $10). Both came with a little side salad and were amazing! They each had a lot of meat and great sauces.

It was just a nice relaxing lunch with a delicious meal and yummy glass of wine. I can't wait to go back at night or even just go bring a book and sit with some wine one day.

Las Olas can be a sleepy strip, busy with curious tourists, or romantic and relaxing.

Sometimes, you don't necessarily want to dine in a cramped area with your neighbors plate within arms reach, and sometimes, you have no choice.

Dining choices are a plenty, whether it be Caffe Europa, Solita, Cheesecake Factory, Johnny V, etc. The same places you always see, that you ultimately resort to out of hunger and wanting to make an executive decision before turning into a grumpy troll.

That is, until you walk to the 'almost end' of the strip about to do a turn around, and you come across this sign. Almost magazine-ishly glossy/flossy, it demands you read it. (Plus, anything that says Wine Cafe, my ears perk up like a Rhodesian Ridgeback at sight of a confused rabbit.)

There was this corridor that made you want to enter, so ...of course we entered. It leads you to a terrace area by a big shady tree and small wrought iron tables.

Upon entrance to the actual shop is a row of wine dispensers. Our server informed us that the cases are pumped with Argon... Argon?? I scanned my brain and remembered that my grade school teacher told us that Argon gas was used inside museum cases to preserve artifacts, hence, keeping the wine fresh.

Friday and Saturday nights they have live music and the chef came out to tell us that on occasion, comes out to sing Knocking on Heaven's Door without a mic, and we ensured him we would definitely make it back for that.

Great wine selections to choose from. Purchase a wine card and you can taste test as you go, buy a bottle @ retail price ( +$10 corkage fee), or order by the glass.

Good food, great service, small portions, a bit pricey

This little gem is set back off of Las Olas with the cutest little courtyard. It has wine machines inside, where you purchase a card and use that to vend either a taste, half glass, or full glass.  It's a fun experience, though the wine choices seemed a bit weak.  It can get really pricey and the money on your card dissolves fast, so you expect a certain level of quality in the selections. It you are going to purchase two glasses, you are better served buying a bottle.  The cost is equal.

The food was tasty, but the portions were small for Tapas. Overall, the place felt a bit overpriced for what it is.

Otherwise, the servers were incredibly friendly and we enjoyed the few hours we spent here. The location is nice if you're looking to be on the strip, but to get away from the bustle of Las Olas. You barely even realize it is there at first.

I always like to give new restaurants a few visits before passing judgement, so I definitely think we'll return.
