I understand that this place is in a college bar area, so they're trying to capitalize on people's lack of coherence by selling $5 slices of pizza.  It's business, I get it.  But if you're going to charge $5 a slice, at least make it edible.   This place had the absolute worst pizza I've ever had. It tasted like cardboard and water.  In addition, the staff was not friendly, and I won't even get into the details on their numerous health code violations (I'm a certified food service manager).  I know no one could possibly consider entering this restaurant sober, but no matter how incoherent you may become, try to remember to avoid it!

the pizza guy tried to rip me off by three dollars (twice).  I ordered a large pizza, actually this pizza was burnt.  It used to be open on Tuesday and Wednesday.  And these days the pizza guy PABLO opens it when?  and he keeps changing the time.

I have dropped my rating to 1 based on the fact that a representative of the company would rather spam a comment on mine and others reviews instead of owning up to failing and striving to work at making it better. Businesses fail for a reason, if you don't take care of customers, you WILL go out of business. Location only goes so far.

I walked in after a night of partying for Black Wednesday.

We were immediately greeted by a loud outspoken Caucasian woman who was clearly drug or high and she seemed as PC as I can say this....a Lady of the night.

My friend and I ignored her banter and ordered a pizza.

An African American man walked in with his buddies behind us and they were CLEARLY not intoxicated. Maybe a beer or two but not drunk....

The out spoken woman started verbally attacking him and harassing him almost borderline being very prejudice and I can see how he was attempting to defend himself verbally.

The owners asked the gentleman to leave....and to my dismay I had to interrupt by shouting he's not the problem.

The way the owners were treating the man like he was threat was uncalled for and I felt embarrassed for them.

TREAT YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT!

Also. I won't be back because the pizza was not good anyhow.

This place is horrible. I have never encountered  such rude service. The place was empty and they refused to serve us a whole pizza. When questioned, the employee swore at us, told us he didn't care and to get out. They lost one sale that night and many in the future.

This place 100%, absolutely needs to close.  Not only is the pizza mediocre at best, but the staff (particularly the young, tool of an owner) is terrible.  It's funny how a place survives on incredibly expensive pizza, no bathroom, no tap water, and awful, rude service... first and last time I ever dine at this place.  I can assure you, I will go hungry rather stop here again.

The only reason this place continues to thrive (or at least survive) is because most of the time its clientele is too tipsy to notice the lousy pizza!

Granted, we went here at an off-peak time: I imagine that when the bars are letting out they aren't offering a  small selection of cold, semi-congealed slices. We grabbed a quick slice (choices were limited to pepperoni or plain cheese- we went for the cheese, which look slightly less poisonous) before an 11pm show at the nearby Greeenhouse Theater.  Luckily, we all survived to see the show, but the nasty taste of this (overpriced!) pizza lingers. Avoid.

this place is right next door to maxbar so after a rather uninspiring night we ran in for some late night food....unfortunately this place stayed right on par with maxbar to finish up a mediocre party night with mediocre pizza....and oh yeah, a slice of pizza is 5 bux, and that my friends is called highway robbery...especially since the best thing about this joint was that some drunk person dropped 20 bux and a friend found it and bought us a slice....the pizza crust seemed like it was some ready made unfrozen dough and the rest was just not that great....skip this place and wait til the next day to go to Cafe Luigi to grab some great NY style thin crust pizza..

I had a fun visit to Lincoln Park Pizza last night!

It started when I was denied a a glass of tap water because I was a thirsty, paying customer. I was told by Cashier Man that I would need to pony-up $2.00 for bottled water since they don't have tap water. I pointed out the tap water on the soda fountain right behind the guy, telling them that I'd be cool with that. He said no again; I would have to pay if I wanted any water.

Ok, so I'll admit....I was a little drunk, but not wild....well, until this bullshit happened. I immediately pressed Cashier Man on the issue, tossing out the hypothetical of "What if I had a health condition where I needed water?"

Cashier Man shook his head. I then inquired about the legalities of this situation. Pizza Maker Man nearby started laughing. I did not find this amusing. I proceeded to tell Cashier Man that he was a Nazi. He started speaking to Pizza Maker Man in Spanish, and I followed up with a "I can understand you, motherfucker," even though I really couldn't. He shut up, handed me my pizza, and I sat down.

Ate the shit pizza and decided to go back for more, because I'm hungry and riled up....and, most of all, I love to be right. But, whatever, I was having a good time.

So, Pizza Maker Man is now a one-man show, other guy disappears. Makes me feel a little bit better. Ask PMM if he would mind giving me a glass of tap water. He says no "because of the owner".

BECAUSE OF THE OWNER.Who would run a business this way?!??!?!?!

I decided to share this information with the new customers who just sat down. They were slightly surprised and friendly, but didn't seem to care much. I believe I was successful in dissuading these other customers from ordering beverages. At least I like to hope I was...but maybe not.

Anyways, I finished the slimy pizza sans hydration, left a mess on the table for my worker friends to clean up, said my "F-yous" and strolled along on my merry way...

This is usually the spot I hit up after a good night of drinking on Lincoln Ave. Whenever I am at The Apartment/Lion's Head or that other club across the street (I can never remember the name), this place brings me back to life afterwards. 1-2 slices usually does the trick.

The pizza is as good as it gets for late night pizza. Sausage pizza is my slice of choice here. They are usualy pretty fast with getting more slices ready for the demanding public. Usually a pretty long line and thats probably because not too many places are open at that point in the evening on the block.  Bring cash, because they don't take credit/debit

I thought about trying this pizza sober, but I was afraid it would not be as good. I think I should just keep this as one of my late night spots.

It is in Lincoln Park and they sell pizza...technically.  (I'd say about room temperature)  What's with no ice in the fountain drinks...who does that?  Many better options in the immediate area are likely.

Not great, but not bad.  When I lived right next to this place some 8 years ago, i'd get it post drinking fairly regularly and it did the trick.  I happened to be in the area the other day and stopped in for a slice.  It was exactly the same, not great but not bad and did the trick.

(sorry, but that review was pretty dire and i'm almost ashamed to tie it to my name. almost)

I am happy to see that all reviews on this place are correct! This place is horrible and the staff is extremely rude. Go across the street to Bacino's for better pizza and better service!

Creating a pizza is like a creating a painting. Anybody can do it, but should everybody do it?

When I was in there to order, the pizza on the table for single slices looked like it had been there for breakfast. It was now running close to 9:30pm. I decided to go ahead, and order fresh.

A friend and I, decided on the Vegetarian, with cheese on half. It was tough to order, because the man taking the orders/cooking the pizza/cleaning, didn't seem to fluent in english, and was repeating everything we said, multiple times, but not exact, so we had to repeat it, which made him repeat it(incorrectly), which made us...you get the point. It took a while, almost as long as the pizza took to cook, just to get the order correct. But, at least he did his best to understand.

The pizza turned out allright, but not great, like I was told it would be, by a drunk girl at a party(I should've known right there). I liked the spinach, and whole tomatoes on the pizza, but I expected more.

Yes, the place looks like they ordered everything inside from a design tuscano catalog. It's not extravagant, or classy, it's just overpriced mediocre "art" that average people think is great. One wall is exactly the same as another wall, with a different arrangement.

At $4.53 for a single slice, of really old pizza, your best bet is to just get a fresh, whole pizza, for about twice as much. That's if you don't feel like going anywhere else, where it would be easier to order, and probably follows the health code a little more.

    J.

Like the decor, but expensive pizza that ain't even that off the hook?  Maybe when you are drunk, you won't care, but I care sober. Never going back unless money grows on trees.

I went here after exiting The Apartment with a group of friends one night and it's conveniently located on Lincoln around the bars and offers late night, inebriated dining. The service was friendly it's a shame the price isn't. 4 dollars or more for pizza by the slice that Im assuming was a Red Baron frozen pizza. I can't complain too much because my rich friend bankrolled the entire evening including shots of patron, endless amounts of beer, and a multitude of jager bombs, and of course late night pizza. I'd go here again but only because I was too drunk to realize you can buy a small family dinner at most greasy fast food joints for the price of a few slices of pizza here.
