We were in a pinch. We needed an Italian specialty dolce and were near my home. A little help from Google and this place popped up. I wasn't even sure it still existed especially in Millburn. It did exist and I am glad we found it.
Their selection in such a tiny location is similar to Corrado's in Clifton. Imported Italian oils, sweets, pasta, cheeses...it was truly a "gem". We found the unique item we were looking for and will surely be back to try their Italian cold cuts and sandwichs...

Mia Famiglia is a gem to be enjoyed and treasured.  The food is authentic and it is no overstatement to say it is wonderful.  Everything is made on premises and the sandwiches are incredible.  I can't say enough good things about this place being a standout and far beyond the mediocre offerings in the area.  Besides there being a daily changing menu of offerings there are high quality Italian staples available.  The selection of EVOO alone is worth a visit.  The OO is well priced and some high quality Sicilian EVOO are half the price as you could pay in a specialty shop.  The fresh made sweet and hot sausage are the leanest and tastiest I have ever experienced.  Definitely worth a visit or two or....

One of Millburn's best kept small secrets.  The take out is fabulous.  You can buy their tomato sauce(better know as gravy) to some of my more knowing friends and make your own great dinner or just buy everything there. Also, great Italian products you don't see anywhere else.  The best olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the world.  I buy it for gifts all the time!

Still going strong.  The fritatta sandwich is outrageous; potatoes, broccoli rabe, pork sausage, romano cheese.  Yum.

Careful coming here...you will show up looking to get a sandwich and walk out with that sandwich...another sandwich for later...some olive oil, pasta, a chunk of imported provolone, taralles and all of the other speciallty Italin imports you grew up eating.
