Mugs and Jugs has gone through many changes. It used to be a great place for REALLY good wings, not the case anymore. The food has become a bit low grade and if you get take out it is rarely if ever correct. We will mostly likely stop eating here although it used to be a regular spot for us. Just not very good anymore.

This place is miserable, the management is horrible and would always avoid me at all costs.

We were here for a pay per view and all of our "hd" tvs were displaying the standard definition version of the show which was 10 seconds ahead of the audio being output!

The event was unwatchable. Everytime I tried to talk to the manager he would scurry away and let the lower level guys say "let me go tell my manager" but wouldn't do anything about it. The food is miserable as well, the chicken tenders taste worse than the frozen ones from the budget aisle at the grocery store. They are breaded with something that has the consistency of sawdust. I feel bad for all of the employees that would have to work under such unprofessionalism. The waitress have us good service, but when the food and experience was poor there's not much you can do.

The only reason this is a 2 star is because the kids that we took here had a blast with the karaoke.
Met up with a girlfriend of mine and some people she knew here. The service was absolutely horrible. I used to waitress a few years ago and I understand that with a big group you have to have a little understanding, however we had a group of 10 adults and 8 or so kids. The kids were actually playing in the game room or singing so they really didn't need any tending too. The adults ordered for them and they just came and ate or drank as they wanted.
So the adults drinks were constantly getting empty and staying empty for about 15 min before our waitress would ask if we would like another round. So we really could enjoy our drink because it took so long to get the next one. Also she would only take one or two orders at a time, which would take even longer. We finally got to ordering our food and that she managed to go around the table and get everyone's order. Then it took more than 45 mins for out food to arrive. I believe she actually forgot to put it in, because when she came to check on us we asked about the food and she kept pausing as though she was trying to think of what she could say. Now all of us pretty much order appetizers except one person that ordered a chicken sandwich, and when that finally made it's way out the bread was soggy.
I won't be going here anytime soon again. If you are a waitress and have a big group ask for another server to help or know what your doing so you can handle the group.

I came here off a recommendation from a coworker who kept going on and on about how great, big, plump, and tasty the wings are here. Maybe I had an off experience, but the wings flat out sucked. The wings I ordered had zero seasoning, were dry and smallish, were overcooked/burned/overfried, every single bone was broken and the temperature varied in the wings, with some of them cold and likely to have been sitting under a heat lamp waiting for sauce before they were served to me. Seriously, these wings were nasty. Anyway, I made my coworker try the leftover wings I refused to eat, and he said that he would have sent them back (I had a carry-out order). So taking also into account the negligent service (no line, and there was no one at the take out order window to help me, and I counted 6 people avoiding eye contact with me before one of the 6 came back and decided to help me after an almost 7 minute wait), I'm never coming back for food. I might however come back with coworkers to gawk at the servers. The pantyhose (a "skin tone" color I have yet to see on a human being) and outfits they wear (or fail to squeeze into) are ridiculous.

Food is always good, biggest wings in town, great menu, lots of tv's, game room for kids, lots of beer choices, full bar, good prices.  Can't think of anything else I want or need in a sports bar.

Started out great, good wings.  Then they did not have 3 of the beers on the menu.  30 minutes later, they seat a table of 6 kids right next to us, and parents and kids start yelling back and forth. We were right next to 6 kids in a bar, the parents a full table away. Then a couple brings a dog in in a stroller. I love dogs, but inside a bar and food place?  Then we could not get our server to pay so we could leave. Has potential, but needs management!  Do not plan to return, let the kids have the bar........

Was not as good as I remember but we had a fun time. The service was good and the price was right. I'm not a Hooters fan so this to me is the best wing place in the area. So, yay! I'm a fan.

C'mon...the name is "MUGS & JUGS" (with "jugs" referring to what you would assume). It's average fare in a slightly more family-oriented Hooteresque atmosphere. Decent wings and burgers.

I have to say - the Karaoke was a spectacle worth seeing though. They do karaoke most nights of the week, but if you go on a Friday or Saturday you will get the full experience (it gets packed).

You will see some horrifying things, including little pre-pubescent girls singing totally innapropriate songs about sex while their family cheers loudly. At least daddy wore his clean wife-beater and collector's edition Earnhardt Senior hat for the evening!

It stuns me that I have been here three times for various gatherings of friends. I would never personally come to a place like this voluntarily, as I am (1) not a huge wing eater and (2) not a fan of this type of dining atmosphere, and (3) the 'horroroke' is only amusing the first couple times.

Came here around 6:40pm... on a Sunday.
I was not greeted upon walking in the front door...

I'd say it was about 65% full...
our party had ordered 50 wings, fried mushrooms and corn bites? and a few pitchers....

food was all good, average, nothing stood out.
it was karaoke night, sing if you want. some decent singers this night, some terrible singers (as expected).

i had to ask several people including the host, and my own server to change the channel on the TV to the Olympics (it was on a boat cleaning infomercial, not like anyone would mind)... a little annoyed about that.

the experience was... ehhh... I'd rather go to Hooters...

I can't believe people say the wings are bad here. I've had wings all over, and these breaded ones are the best!!! Huuuuuge wings, combine sauces for delicious flavors. I'm not giving 5 stars because the watered down beer comment was right. But all winghouses taste like the have watered down beers IMO, maybe it's our taste buds

This restaurant has gone down hill. I used to love it, but will not go back. I ordered the steak and shrimp dinner and it was awful and the waitress wasn't very nice. She acted like she really didn't care to be there and was just waiting for the night to end.  The steak was tough and the shrimp was rotten. I'm not kidding. The second I put the shrimp in my mouth, all I could think of was the rotten shrimp at the bottom of a bait bucket. Now it gets better. When the waitress came over and I told her about it, she responds with "Doesn't surprise me and would you like another side to replace your shrimp." Yeah, a 2 dollar side will make up for the shrimp scampi. Are you kidding me? From now on, I'm going to Hotter Hooters. At least if I get bad food there, I will get a sorry with a smile.

Not the best place for wings but when you don't wanna go to wing house, mugs n jugs is the next best place. Their naked wings are all right and the boneless buffalo wings are also pretty good. I've never had their other dishes so I can't speak for those.

Service is decent but can sometimes be pretty poor.

The karaoke bar can be a curse and rarely a blessing. If you can handle constant loud noises and horrible and/or drunken singing then it shouldn't affect your visit here too bad.

Went here to have dinner with my mom. She had some kind of groupon and it's close to were she works. I must say, it was quite awful. I got a blackened chicken sandwich and a ceaser. My mom got a burger. The chicken sandwich was not blackened and had a giant vein or tendon or something going through the center of the breast that you couldn't chew. The GRILLED chicken was also all sorts of greasy, which was perplexing. My moms burger was all sorts of overcooked and mushy and greasy. The server was really nice, though.

This was the third stop on my "Breastraunt Tour" , and what i have to say is...Holy frozen bags of food. I can't speak for the wings, but man all the other food was just bad.... almost as bad looking as our waitress. I'm sorry, i know. Props for not discriminating Mugs 'N Jugs, but if you are going to hire a person of that... physical caliber, please also give your waitresses the option of not wearing just underwear. I have to say the shorts are more revealing than at the Tilted Kilt, but unfortunately I wanted to look away instead of look at. Now that I'm thinking about this place im not sure why i gave O'boobagans the worst score of the melon related eatery's. Although not as creepy, Mugs 'N Jugs may have been worse. Redeeming facets though, trivia and beer towers. Maybe if we had just stuck to wings and had a different crew workin,  this place would have been rated higher.

Wings are okay if you like them breaded. I tried the hot honey BBQ and thought the sauce was really good. Not hot enough for my taste but some of the other people that tried them we sweating. Also tried the Jamaican sauce which I thought was a little spicier but had really good flavor. The blackened wings weren't what I would call "blackened" but the flavor was still there from all the spices. Their fried pickles were really good besides being extra greasy! Sauce was a spicy chipotle that was ok. The calamari was very good. They had a peppery taste in the breading and were well seasoned served with a simple side of marinara sauce. I will definitely get these next time. Service is hit or miss. One of the bartenders must have been in a bad mood and it came through in her rude service. We had another waitress when we sat down and I thought she did a good job.

They do have happy hour until 7pm, just check the prices they charged when you get the check. Again, it would come down to the server if the check is correct. They also have karaoke on weekends and it is quite entertaining.

Mugs 'N Jugs is my FAVORITE restaurant to go to for wings. They have THE BEST wing recipes. I always get the mild boneless wings. Sooo good. Free refills on drinks and I've never been upset with the service. I don't care so much about how they stole their idea from Hooters or how the girls look. At least their wings are better.

I am a "wing nut" and Mugs has THE best wing recipe of all local restaurants I've tried. They are the only wings to rival my own recipe which took me 8 years to perfect! Service and restroom cleanliness are variable depending upon the manager of the day.  Prices are competitive, and be on the lookout for specials.

Overall, this is a slowly growing chain that I would like to see expand.
Get there EARLY during tourist season; if there's a low priced special, the place becomes either Little Canada or God's Waiting Room....

My daughter (17), grandson (10m), and I went to Mugs 'N Jugs for lunch today. I have never  been, I was was craving some wings. The place is very sports bar-ry and noisy, also nice and clean.  They even have an outdoors are to sit and eat, but we chose to eat inside.

Question of the day: Why don't the male employees have to wear bootie shorts, hmm??

    Anyway.... I digress.

To start, we ordered the Spinach/Artichoke Dip with chips - YUM. Although we picked out all the "au natural" chips, leaving behind the super bright  red & green ones.

We got the sweet tea (free refills) and - YUM.

Then I had the 1/2 lb. Traditional Buffalo Hot Wings (Boneless) with onion rings - YUM!!

My daughter had the 1/2 lb. Honey BBQ WIngs (Boneless) and french fries. She said they were both good, although the fries were a tad soggy.

We were both only able to eat half our meals before we were about to pop, so we skipped desert, although I am now dying to try some fried cheesecake!

Bill came to $31.50. Tipped our waitress Jessica $8.50 b/c she was very nice, attentive, and her butt cheeks weren't hanging out; unlike some of the other girls there. She looked like a nice, respectable girl paying her way through college or something - not like a hoochie. lol

My grandson was in heaven though, with all the Jugs walking around... hahaha such the little flirt.

I love Mugs 'n Jugs. I'm a fan of the original mild sauce on the ginormous wings they serve up. My girlfriend and I only get 10 wings (to share) and a side of curly fries and we come out satisfied. Heck. Last visit, we stranded a wing. Service is always on top of drink refills, food flies out of the kitchen pretty fast. You can't beat the price in my opinion. AND Thursday nights, they do karaoke. Tons of TVs around the dining area. Full service bar area off to the side. Outdoor, tented dining area. This place is AWESOME!

Ordered food and it wasn't fresh, great and gorgeous bartender though.  Later ordered a dessert, it took a while but they gave it to me for free.  I am going to give them another chance in the future.

    2.8/3.0

Best wings in Pinellas, but slipping.  On our last visit the wings came out barely warm.  There is obviously some pre-cooking going on in the kitchen.

    *PLEASE STOP PRE-COOKING YOUR WINGS*

This restaurant sits in a prime spot but seems to be cursed. Several restaurants have come and gone in this spot, maybe Mugs and Jugs will stick around? Can you guess what the place is like by the name??? It seems like a lot of restaurants try to copy Hooters with the female servers dressed in short shorts and little, umm... 'enhancing' tops. There also seems to be a hierarchy of quality with these establishments. The top tier would be the originator, Hooters. Below that you have the Wing House-type places and at the bottom of the tier would be places like Frogger's, and yes, Mugs and Jugs.

The restaurant is pretty big and clean with booths, tables, a bar and plenty of TVs. When we first came in they attempted to seat us right behind a large group, then realized this wouldn't work and moved us. I guess the move threw off the server's section because there was some confusion before they figured out who was helping us. Eventually someone decided to take the job and got us our drinks. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and took one bite and almost died! They were super spicy! The menu didn't say ANYTHING about it being spicy. I don't send food back often but this was just inedible. They rushed the food order but by the time I got my food everyone else was about finished. The manager apologized but nothing was comped, as it should have been. Our server was very sweet and apologetic. My mouth was still burning when we left the restaurant!

I wouldn't completely write the place off from one bad experience but I'm not going to rush back either! It's a place I might go to watch a game and have a beer and some wings but that's about it.

Wait service was poor. Had to continuously ask for refills. Wings were not hot and it was not tasty. The philly cheese steak was lacking in flavor.

I did see other tables next to us that had better service, so it was waitress and not restaurant wide service.

If you want cheap and greesy, this is your place. A low budget Hooters (if that is possible).

Mugs'n Jugs is a twist on the Hooters concept. I wandered in one Sunday night during a trip to Tampa to see the Devil Rays play and watch them clinch their first AL East Championship. I'm a big lover of Buffalo wings and always try to sample some whenever I'm on the road.

The night I attended, let's say the mugs were nicer than the jugs. Although service was very good and friendly, they were not much to look at.. One kick I got-one server was VERY pregnant and was looking forward to her wedding in a few months. You gotta admire that!

The wings themselves were probably the largest I've ever eaten and are offered in a variety of sauces and heat. I did not have anything else on the menu. The beer is cold and a wide selection is available. The place has a huge amount of TV screens-and I believe-show every football game being played in the country.

Mugs'n Jugs is an OK place to have good wings and a cold beer and watch sports on TV.

Any place that offers grilled buffalo tenders is aces in my book! I live in Boston now, and would pay to have them delivered! Yum!

Great service, good prices, quality bar food!

The wings were better than hooters and the waitress that was helping us out that night was much more hotter than the hooter chicks that I saw. So lets get back to the wings. Damn good, did i mention that? We had the caesar salad and it was okay, but the wings were my favorite. The waitress/ servers were pretty hot that night and didnt see a prego one, but that would have been interesting to see. Good wings and curly fries as well. I recommend this spot! Peace!

I love restaurants that rip off ideas from other restaurants.  Mugs'n Jugs is your garden variety Hooters with worse outfits and with the addition of a large karaoke stage.  Karaoke is a nightly occurrence and is filled with your usual favorites.  The same DJ hosts karaoke and doesn't do a great job reving up the crowd but his whole job is to enter song selections into the computer and make sure that the music is much louder than the person singing the song.

The food is your typical sports bar place - wings, fries, burgers, etc.  The drinks are watered down but cheap.  The Mugaritas are tasty but filled with ice and resemble lemonade once finished.  The nonalcoholic drinks are bottomless, which is nice, and the servers do bring you a new glass when you get refills.  They also provide you refills for nonalcoholic beverages whether you want one or not.  That's good service.

The waitress are all clad in black spandex which can be interesting when the pregnant waitresses are on staff that night.  They are friendly and efficent and are willing to split checks.

Mugs'n Jugs also has a supposed age cutoff where the kids are kicked out after a certain time but that wasn't enforced when I was there.  The two tween parties with the girls singing songs they didn't know at ear splitting volumes was a tad LOL.  And the infants running around at 12am with dirty feet made me question their parents parenting technique.

Mugs'n Jugs is a okay faux hooters when you want to get your sing on with a group of your friends.  With a name like Mugs'n Jugs, you shouldn't expect awesome but you'll be pleasantly supplied to find yourself in "that was nice" land.
