I thought I'd been missing Old Chicago, because it had been a few years, but the pizza wasn't as good as I remember. Perhaps my tastes have changed, but there is much better pizza for better prices in the area.
The service was very good, but the pizza was below average. I don't like burned pizza, and the cheese tasted like it belonged on a Totino's. If Totino's or Jeno's is a 'D', then this was a C. Even late night would have been a low grade.
DW and I had dinner here as we were in the area. Â I thought things weren't going to go well when we were seated and was about 3 or 4 minutes and no one came over to greet us and get our drink order. Â This was even though we were two table away from the POS system and I made contact with several servers. Â The manager passed by and I hollered at him for help and let him know we hadn't been waited on yet. Â He apologized and took our drink orders. Â Our server came over just as the manager came back with our drinks. Â After that our server was on top of things making sure our drinks were full and getting our food out quickly. Â We started off with the artichoke dip which was very good. Â They serve it with garlic bread and sliced veggies, such as carrots, cucumbers, celery, red & green bell peppers. Â It was a nice change from most places which serve tortilla chips with their dip. Â DW had a burger and fries. Â I had the Chicago 7 deep dish. Â Not really a true Chicago deep dish, but more like a pan pizza. Â It was very tasty though. Â The wife said her burger and fries were also tasty. Â Prices are in order with most other places. Â Overall not a bad place to try.
