Ehh...this place has potential, as it is fairly nice inside, has a few TVs, live music on some nights, and a good beer selection.
However, you are more likely to feel like you are crashing a private party because the owner and all his biker buddies are usually sitting at the bar. I've been there 5 or 6 times and I always felt like an outsider. Very uncomfortable. He's the previous owner of O'Houston's and that place had the same vibe, and ultimately closed.
Barley Mow a block away is a much better choice, in my opinion.
Great selection of beer. BUT they are playing a hallmark movie, sound of movie on full blast and lights all the way up - plus a woman is sitting here crying because of this stupid movie at the bar. Seriously? There is a big group of us here who wanted to go to a BAR not a freaking chick flick movie. Fail in my book. Don't come here on a Wednesday night. Evidently the bartender doesn't car about anyone else except for the one patron that doesn't have television at home.
Review Source:This is a fun place. Â The owners are extremely friendly. O'Shys hosts a drum circle on Wednesdays and has twice now hosted the band "The Craic" which is an amazing pipe and drum group. Â This place is the hub of Largo's first Friday event. I am sure this will grow. Â Bottom line this place along with the owners and staff is absolutely awesome.
Review Source:I think this place changed owners. I tried going twice this week & there were kids running around there all day on a Saturday, which meant no cursing (in a bar?!?!). The bartender I used to go in to see knew a ton about craft beers, but last time I went in there he was there but wasn't behind the bar - instead there was a woman in charge who didn't know anything about the beer selection at the bar, or about craft beer in general. In the past, they've had good music on Fridays...once I came in and there was an insanely good funk band playing here, this time it looked like they literally been replaced by a band of tepid high schoolers and a bunch of underage kids. If that's what I want to see on a Friday after a long work week, I can go stand in line for the latest Twilight movie. This place is a cheap beer bar with no food or liquor, clearly it's supposed to be a watering hole, but they have nothing there that would make an adult want to park in here. Are they turning it into a rec center? They also keep postponing First Friday every month, which doesn't bode well. Sadly, I think this place is looking to change, but not in a direction I'm feeling :(
