The food is "ok" but nothing special.  The prices are WAY too high for Chinese food.  $5.00 for edamame is insane, and $12 for fried rice is about 30% more than anyplace else charges, and frankly, PF Chang's is just not that special.

Service was mediocre, had to ask 3 times for a refill of my water glass.

Our favorite restaurant. Food is always fresh with a great selection. Ordering with the mobile iPhone app is awesome!

I must be a complete loser because I don't understand the fascination with this restaurant. Seriously. First, it's soooo damn loud...imagine eating dinner at a bullfight. Second, the food is overproduced and over-the-top. Do you really want to have lettuce wraps again? Third, it's dark...not in a romantic sit close to my wife kind of way. Its dark as in eating in a dungeon kind of way with creepy fake chinese statues over your shoulder.

Whatev's, it's a place that my kids like to eat so I take one for the team.

We chose to eat here after passing up the restaurant while in Honolulu. We were impressed by the portion sizes, the choice of eating utensils (Chop sticks or Silverware). The staff was questioned about the menu and was answered quite easily and readily. Great atmosphere for couples. However, at this location, if you have small children that require a booster then request a table and not a booth. If you get a booth the table edge sits even with the seat edge and the child can easily slip between and get injured. That being said, if you are round in the middle then the booth sits comfortable. Our waiter was busy about the floor as we only lost her for a total of five minutes. There were small mistakes made but easily adjusted. Some people complain about their bad experiences but need to realize you have to overlook the simple mistakes. This does have outdoor seating (out the doors of the restaurant but under the roof of a mall) but don't expect fresh air dining but many passersby. I would return....

I was pleasantly surprised by my PF Chang's experience.

I came here for lunch to get a bit of work done, and was impressed by the entire service experience. The food was good, nothing incredibly special. Foodwise, you know what to expect from PF Chang's, and it satisfied. I had the Orange Peel Chicken on the lunch menu, which was slightly spicy and delightfully flavorful, and not too large a portion. Nothing mindblowingly delicious, but solid.

The service was really excellent. Granted, I was one of few people in the restauant, and the only person at the bar since I was was flying solo. The host stand was very warm and friendly, and the bartender was excellent. I was able to just sit on my laptop and get some work done while she refilled my sodas and cleared my dishes and checked up on me discreetly. She was warm and cordial but not overly so.

Not sure what evenings are like, but was a nice reasonably priced, lunch.

First, let me start by giving credit to the chefs.  The menu is exceptional and the quality of the food is always outstanding.

Now, let me tell you a tale of tragedy and woe.  The last time I went there, we had made a reservation at 6pm.  We were seated at 6:25pm.  During those 25 excruciating minutes, I asked the hostess for an update twice, once after 10 minutes, once after 20 minutes. She addressed my concerns with all the care and compassion of a prison guard. I think my favorite part was when she responded to my question about how long the wait was expected to be with, "Well, take a look around.  We're packed.  What do you think?" Needless to say, if you got a reservation at P.F. Chang's don't expect much because apparently they don't know what that means.  Moreover, be prepared to get a tongue lashin' if you ask why they didn't have your table.  Shame on me.

This isn't the first time that I've taken a verbal blitzkrieg at P.F. Chang's.  I don't know what the deal is, but it's almost like they are intentionally putting pissed-off people at the door.  Is there some sort of secret marketing plan going on?  Are you trying to do the soup nazi thing? It's not working.

If I didn't live in St. Paul, I'd opt for take-out and enjoy the good food without having to deal with the staff, but the drive is too far and it's not worth it.  I don't plan on going back until they stop putting demons at the hostess station.

We went back after our horrible customer service experience a few weeks ago to give P.F. Chang's another chance, and to use our Chinese New Year Red Envelope. Katie did a fantastic job with her customer service and restored my faith that P.F. Chang's does care about its customers. She did everything that a good, attentive server who cares about her job should do. Katie was very pleasant, made small talk and appropriately tried to upsell, all before I told her about our previous experience. And as always, the fried rice combo was delicious and gave me leftovers to bring to work the next day.

The food was OK and I'm not all that picky of an eater. Americanized chinease food, thus it was rather busy. Everything at this location feels so crammed and you should be comfortable with talking to the tables next to you as you dine. Always enjoy the company of family though. Maybe that's why a gave it a 3...thinking more like a 2.5 would be fair. It won't come to mind very quickly if I am searching for a place to eat.

I ate here because I was stuck at Southdale for some reason I can't remember. And I mean stuck, it involved cars and snow, this much I do know.

I expected to put "Chinese" in sarcasm quotes, but I also put "food" in sarcasm quotes.

I do not mind joyfully bad food that comes from a steam table and you know it's bad and it's cheap. There is no excuse for then repackaging stuff from the dumpster behind that dive for 12 bucks, which was my chow fun, I think.

The ambiance of this location outshines the food by leaps and bounds... Trouble is, save for once, we only eat it if we're taking it home for a big family dinner.

It's not bad food, it's unhealthy food, and you can really taste it.  As long as you're ready for that when you arrive, I assume you'll enjoy yourself.  There are several items on the menu that I would categorize as delicious, but again, you can't confuse it for healthy or authentic.  It's just... american food with spice!

Again, in the right mood, it's good, but just know what to expect.  Fried appetizers, fried entrees, and decadent desserts.  Still gets a YUM, served with a surgeon general's warning.

    Surgeon General Tso's Warning...

Food is really good especially the lettuce wraps. I've been to this location twice for lunch and rushed both times.

The first time our waitress just gave us the check and didn't ask if we wanted to order anything else after drinks.

The second time we ordered drinks, an app, and lunch specials. We were not finished with our lettuce wrap and they were taken away without asking. Next my girlfriend took a drink break from her soup(didn't even move it to the side) and the waitress snatched it.... without even asking if she was done and it was more than half full! I like to relax at restaurants and not have to guard my food!
I'd say go for the good food, but guard it!

P.F. Chang . . . What can one say about the the suburban "want-to-be" upscale asian bistro.  The food is ok. I have been to locally owned places that I like better for the food, but I like the ambiance of the place and it is a decent option when in Edina.

The food here has always been good. I'm a big orange chicken fan, and their take on it is a little different than most. It is still great though.

It is usually a little cold inside, even on a hot day. Wear a sweater or something, you'll be glad you did.

They push their dessert menu on you, quite literally, a lot. Be prepared to say no a few times!

My friend and I had the dinner for two for $39 and although it was a good value (1 soup each, 1 appetizer, 2 mains, 1 dessert each), it just wasn't PF Changs quality.

We had the chow's chicken which was good but the cantonese shrimp was very dark and a bit overcooked on the outside.

Not one of my favorite meals.. But cheap and filled the void on a cold evening.

I have been to many P.F. Changs all over the Country. This one was no different other than it was a little smaller. The food and server service was okay. The hostess and other management service did not impress me at all though. For example, while we waited 15 minutes for a table for five, there were two employees chatting it up right at the hostess podium while I looked at at least three tables that needed to be bussed. Also, I was in the bathroom when a employee filled the paper towel dispensers and I only got a growly look and no "hello" or "how's it going". I tried to smile at him, but he looked very angrily preoccupied.

Overall, what you see is what you get. If you have been to P.F. Changs before you'll get the same experience here. The food is good-not great. And the atmosphere is busy with an acceptable amount of unique activity going on.

I would go back and probably will.

Excellent food and great service - can't go wrong. (Being a fifteen minute drive to the MSP airport is also a nice perk.) Don't miss the Asian pear mojito!

Reliably good food in a bustling setting.  We've regulars as my son is particularly fond of the Sweet and Sour Chicken.  The lettuce wraps and crab won tons are another good choice.

We mostly carry out and they've reserved a few parking spaces for folks like us.  You just head back to the bar area on the left side and someone will help you with your order.  Somewhat pricey for Chinese, but good food.

They now take reservations - which are a must on Friday/Saturday nights unless you have plenty of time.

I have eaten at many different PF Changs, in Honolulu, Las Vegas, and of course Edina.

This one in Edina used to be my favorite. The food was always good, the portions were great and the service was grand. Well, something has changed! The food still tasted great, but the portions seemed to have been cut almost in half over the last 3 or 4 visits. The first time I noticed the portion getting smaller, I thought maybe it was just me, or just a mistake. The last time I went in though, it was almost half the size I used to get, and the price hadn't changed one bit. When I asked the server about it, I was told that "That is the same portion it's always been, and I've been here for almost 3 years", to which I replied "This is half the food I got from 3 months ago, and every time and location I have come to a Changs restaurant". I was not offered an apology, to speak to a manager, or anything else, the server just walked away ...

I was completely appalled. I will of course, give them another chance, cause I love the honey glazed chicken, but if I have the same sort of experience, I will have to find another place to get the chicken.

I was suprised by all the negative comments considering I've always liked P.F. Changs despite it being a chain.  I'd like to think that my taste is not that far off but I guess since I've only had a few items there my perspective is limited.

WIth that said, I love the Ma Pow Tofu!  I get it everytime and go there with that dish in mind.  I also enjoy the crab rangoons.  My friend is always wants something super spicy and said the Dali Chicken was great.

The Mai Tais are as big as your forearm, potent as hell, and come with a pineapple spear garnish.

The food is terrible, but after the first Mai Tai, you stop caring about that.

    Bratwurst Fingers Happen!

Went here on a a recent weekday evening. I've been here before and my party really wanted to go there. I went with trepidation....I'll say right out of the gate, I like Pei Wei, even though it's a chain.

I've been to this location 3 times, I've liked it the first 2, this experience was not pleasant. The parking set me off to begin with. The lot at Southdale is more effed up than I ever remember. I walk in and there are a ton of people waiting for table at 6:30 pm. I say to self, "I thought we were in a recession...."

We are seated almost in the door way and smashed up against 2 other tables. It's loud, we can't talk and it's pretty dark. We order 3 cocktails and 2 diet cokes. One cocktail comes along with one DC. They order appetizers and still no other beverages arrive. We have to remind her because, 'oh, I forgot what you wanted again and the others are coming.'

I did not try the lettuce wraps or the crab puffs because I'm going to have an entree and the others are going to shares some dishes.

My hunan pork comes and it has the consistency of a tire and the saltiness of a meat keep preserved by salt instead of a freezer. I eat a couple bites and cannot stomach any more. The others seemed to think their dishes were okay. I sure hope they tasted better than the looked. I know one thing didn't - the garlic snap peas. I tried one and they tasted like rotten peas in a weird sauce. Ish. I can make better at home.

When she came by to box up the left overs I told her no because it was too salty to eat and she did take it off the bill, but none the less, I did not really have dinner that night, unless salt is a meal.

I will not go back and cannot be persuaded to go back. I might be thrown into another salt coma with bratwurst size fingers.

Don't go, save yourself - I'm warning you.

Just as bland as I remembered.  A friend was in town and her mom wanted to have dinner her so I obliged.  Luckily I read a few yelp reviews before hand and ordered the Vegetable Tofu Curry, which was edible but not memorable, it had plenty of veggies, tofu and they included some peanuts on top which I cant decide if I liked or not.  There was more coconut than curry so it was more sweet than hot.  The portion was enough for 2.

My boyfriend had spicy chicken of some kind and hated it, apparently it wasn't hot at all and we couldn't believe how little chicken he got.  We agreed that most take-out places have better food; but then again we didn't go with high expectations.

The service was terrific, I would give it a 4.  The wait staff was extremely kind and attentive.  The out of towners are not adventures eaters so they enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.  I wouldn't go to satisfy my taste buds but it worked for those who like American Chinese.  And the prices are quite reasonable (they don't jack them up like Cheesecake factory next door) so I wasn't upset about the tab.

Very nice atmosphere, nice place.   The service is typically good, some of their food is good, I can't say anything is bad but, the thing that get's me is I know half a dozen Chinese restaurants where I can buy the same thing for $5 and it tastes better.  Our server kind of sucked as well, totally messed up on the moo shu, let me wrap'em next time.  No Hoisen sauce, I watched as she shredded every single pancake and tried various ways of wrapping it.  I thought at one point she was going to pick it up and lick one end so it would stick together.  Also, was it my imagination or did they bring brown rice to our table?  We had a non-trivial party but, maybe I missed that part where they ordered brown rice??  I stuck to the fried rice (which was not good) but, I failed to find white rice.  The dandan was good, lettuce wraps were okay, the two fried seafood which could have been fried pork with the same sauce was also good (it's fried).  Here's the kicker though, when asked who wanted what leftovers, not a single person stepped forward.  We left them.  Chinese is the perfect leftover, just toss everything together and warm (I like to stir fry it, make fried rice but, hey if your at work the microwave works).  Nice place, I have not given up on it entirely.  The black iced tea was good +1 star.

not authentic at all, but hey maybe that is what some people are going for? because i dont know why, but the restaurant was packed. the thing that gets to me though, is the food is overpriced for such small portions. oh yea, and that sauce they mix at your table, is it supposed to be good or make you feel special? we dipped into it for a taste and then didnt give it another glance.

I was torn about whether or not to write this review. Mainly because it means owning up to the fact that I came here of my own choosing, which is a tad embarrassing. What can I say, I had a magical experience at a P.F. Chang's in Charlotte three years ago that involved dynamite orange chicken and the Great Wall of Chocolate. Now every so often I secretly crave the Chang's. But based on what transpired at lunch today, I can't foresee ever coming back.

Now, part of the problem may have something to do with location: We went to the one at Southdale, which immediately sparked my intense and (almost) completely baseless hatred for all things Edina.

All kidding aside, the food was so terrible that I came as close as I will ever come to sending it back and walking out. It was so blatantly awful that it felt like the kitchen was trying to piss me off. As much as I really, REALLY wanted to send it back and get something else, after being a server for two years, I just can't bring myself to do it. And I'm not convinced anything else wouldn't have been just as bad.

If you value your taste buds, avoid the Chang's Spicy Chicken and the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce at all cost. The sauce on the chicken is sickeningly sweet, and clashed with the spicy pepper flavor in a really gross way. The chicken "nuggets" were insanely chewy and tough, as if they had been through the fryer twice. No veggies accompany the dish. After one bite, I wanted to push my plate away, and would have had I not been starving. My bf had the exact same reaction to the shrimp lunch plate. As soon as he swallowed the first forkfull, he declared the dish the blandest thing he'd ever tasted. Also starving, he dumped a ton of soy sauce on it and powered through about half before being too grossed out to continue.

The service in no way enhanced the meal. The guy was pretty out of it and kept repeating incorrect orders back to us. He also forgot to put in one of the appetizers, and left way too much extra crap on the table, so that we had almost no room to eat. He did not seem at all interested in helping us have an enjoyable experience.

I don't know if that mythical plate of orange chicken I had so many years ago was just a fluke or what, and I'll probably never find out. I am so disappointed that I insisted on coming here over the countless authentic, tasty Chinese places in the metro. The only redeeming qualities about this place is that the soups were pretty decent (but someone please tell me how you can fuck up hot and sour soup), and they have $2 dessert cups. I was at least happy to see that the chocolate cake was still as good as I remember it. But this is no way good enough to warrant return visits.

I'm appalled that anyone eats here. But somehow the place was packed. I really don't get it.

I don't understand why this place is always so packed. We got about $60 worth of takeout for 4 people (two appetizers and four entrees) and, let me tell you, I would have rather eaten at Leeann Chin. Honestly.

I ate a few bites of almost everything (curry vegetables, lettuce wraps, shrimp in lobster sauce, shrimp dumplings) and it just tasted like salt. As I was eating it I felt like I had heartburn and, by the next day, my mouth felt as though I had eaten steel wool for dinner. Gross. I forced myself to finish the leftovers. I know people rave about those veggie lettuce wraps but they were just bad. Kind of like I-just-threw-up-and-my-mouth-tastes-like-burning-because-of-all-of-the-bile bad. We only live a few minutes away so it's not like our food was sitting out forever before we ate it.

Ok, the shrimp dumplings were pretty awesome. I'll give them that. (I can't think of any other positive, hence the one star.)

Maybe the entire experience is best when you eat in the actual restaurant.  I'm not going to find out because I'm never going back.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to write a review on this restaurant, mainly because I don't pride myself in dining in the 'burbs... let alone in malls. Oh well. This was my fourth time dining here and it was alright. For a Wednesday night, this place was packed. This location isn't as huge as the one in Maple Grove. So we waited for a good 40 minutes before finally getting a table. Overall, the service was slow. It just took the server forever to do anything. After we ordered food, it took about 15 minutes for her to bring drinks. After that, it took about 40 minutes for her to bring the food. But before that, she came by and said "Oh, I thought your food was here. I should go check on that." Umm yes, you should. Because you are our SERVER. I had the chicken salad which you can't screw up. My friends had the sweet and sour chicken and soup as well as spring rolls and snap peas. The portions aren't super huge so you could easily have a dish to yourself. While waiting for the check, my friend went to the bathroom and lo and behold, our smart server was in the bathroom... on the phone... in one of the stalls. This went on for a good 15 minutes before we finally summoned someone else to take care of the bill. When you're in a busy restaurant like that, customer service should be your number one priority and it just didn't seem like she cared.

Well, I dined at the Maple Grove location for a last minute b-day party.  I can't remember what I ordered...I think it was some noodle thing with chicken.  It was way too salty, the veggies were lacking and it was about $12.  I did like the decor and atmosphere.  I think the mood lighting kicked in exactly at 8pm.  Ha, we all stopped mid sentence to laugh.  I don't think I'll go back.  If I do return, I may try the lettuce wraps.  I heard they are quite good.

I was first introduced to Changs in Vegas.. That was back when I "didn't like" (or in otherwords, refused to try) Chinese food.  I love their food.  It's an interesting atmosphere -- not your typical Chinese dive.

Lettuce Wraps are pretty decent, for an appetizer, but the Spicy Chicken is  my personal favorite of the entree choices.

I'd heard a rumor they were going to open one by Maplewood Mall, which would have been nice since it's a lot closer than driving to Southdale, but that never happened.  So I very rarely get the chance to eat here.

P F Chang's is to Chinese as Red Lobster is to seafood.  If you don't know Chinese cuisine you might enjoy it.  Many better options in the Cities.  Service is good but I really don't appreciate the wait staff droning on and on while they mix the sauces at your table.

Also there Mongolian beef is super tasty as well. It can be super crowded...if you need a seat the also serve dinner at the bar. Good for a pre movie dinner.
