It is clear to me why the three businesses before Pharaoh's failed in the same space.
The service is poor- requiring you to go to the counter to order anything- or wait for the hourly coal-check to take place.
The prices are very high, even by sheesha standards. $9 for a pot of tea? $4 for a cup of juice?
Furthermore this place has arbitrary rules- only 4 to a single hookah- the fifth guest "necessitating" a "mandatory" purchase of a fifth bowl. At $13 a head, I don't think that this is a fair practice.
The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed- bordering on empty- so if you want somewhere to go and hang out without others- albeit with loud, obnoxious top 40 pop hits playing over Arabic-language music videos (which I would have much rather heard than the silly hybrid combination I was subject to for the two hours our head took to burn down.
