As always, a great sandwich. Service today was just awful. No hello, no thank you, just attitude, sass and a cold, blank stare from the cashier. Not even a receipt to see who rang me up. Again, a great sandwich.

This is my go-to for lunch before work, really more often than I want to admit. I always get the Wreck--may fave!!--and sometimes a side mac salad or cole slaw. Sometimes a Dream Bar is an added treat.
Everyone who works here is always friendly and has a lot of personality, and service is always fast. If the line gets long, an order-taker comes out and takes orders from the people in line to move things along, so I've never had a substantial wait.
And the prices are good! Six dollars and change for a warm, toasty, freshly made tasty sub? Hells yeah!

Pot Belly Really Skimps on the veggies...and it's pretty normal for them to give you a 'tude when you ask for extra lettuce. But all in all it's quick and it's potbelly.

I don't know that Potbelly's needs a review but what I will say is that I always get a solid sandwich each time I visit one of their locations. The DC salad is good too and the ice cream sandwiches made with vanilla ice cream and those oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies are the truth!

Great place to grab a quick and healthy bite before heading out into the great Miracle Mile / DT Chicago.

I saw Potbelly started out as a mom n pop sandwich shop that grew big. It still tries to retain that local / small feel by inviting musicians in to play in their front.

We missed out on bfast (ends at 11AM), so we grabbed 2 sammies:
    x Skinny T-K-Y - skinny turkey on multi-grain bread $4
x A Wreck - salami, roast beef, ham and swiss cheese

Both were delicious, but if I were to order again I'd get A WRECK.
It's got some delicious chili peppers in there and a very good sauce (duno what it is).
Each item on the menu has the caloric count. Their "skinny" menu basically has sammies with less bread (less cals).

The only downside was having to repeat my order 3 times. They do not have a very efficient system set up where employees know what your order is from beginning to end.

I dig this Potbellys.  Caters to tourists, so it's a great spot to pick up an off-peak sandwich.

That said, one time the trays were super sticky and gross, but not in a good way.  The sticky trays haven't stopped me from coming back, but they have stopped me from touching the trays (I get take-out).

Once I forgot to ask for no mushrooms on the ham, egg, and cheese bagel, and it was actually surprisingly delicious.  Next time my not asking for their removal won't be accidental.

Potbelly's is a chicago staple and a must for anyone who hasn't been.

Those who liken Potbelly's to a Subway or Quizno's couldn't be more wrong.  Potbelly prices are just as cheap, the food quality is way better, and the overall value is just way better.

I've probably been to Potbelly's at least 100 times because when it comes to quick lunch options there's really nothing better than a Potbelly's

I always get their chicken salad sandwich on wheat with pretty much everything on it. I've tried other sandwiches but this is my favorite.

They have real milk shakes made with hand scooped ice cream and possibly the best chocolate chip oatmeal cookies that I've yet been able to match in taste by making them at home.

I really want to give this location one star, and it really is not based on the food itself.  I was very disappointed in the service I received.  I came in here last Wednesday around 11:00, running late for work and wanted to grab a sandwich for my lunch break for later.  I walked in, and there were no customers in line.  I walked up to the counter and I stood there, ready to place my order.  There were 8 employees ( I counted), behind the counter, one employee standing right in front of me, looked up at me, then continued to work on whatever it was she was doing.  So I waited, and waited....then another employee looked up at me, then turned away and so I continued waiting.  I was so disgusted at the customer service I was receiving, I almost just walked out.  Finally an employee asked me if he could help me, so I placed my order.  Maybe it was because I was standing at the middle counter instead of the far right counter.  You would think an employee would ask me to step down to place my order.  I do have to say though, the cashier did thank me and told me to have a nice day, but very disappointed in the rest of the service I received.  The food itself I give 3 stars.  I have always like potbellies for their sandwiches.  But I hope the customer service at this location greatly improves.

I saw Potbelly everywhere in Chicago, finally I could not resist and tried it out.

Basically it is a sandwich joint without much twist. The ingredients and choices are not that different from Subways or Quiznos. They do try to make the menu to be more interesting but ultimately chain sandwich shops will be chain sandwich shops.

I admittedly have a soft spot for these sub-sandwiches. Potbelly delivers good sandwiches but priced higher than Subways, which I found them to be good also.

Final words: It is good to try once or twice for each city or region's own chain stores. But for the prices Subway will suffice.

For real, Potbelly is the shit.

Doing some morning shopping on Michigan - I realized I was running short on time and had to hustle back to the hotel before heading out to Wrigley.  Fack - I didn't eat want to eat lunch at a ballpark.  Lo and behold - the seas parted and I stumble across a Potbelly on my way back to the hotel.

Pop in - ordered a Big Wreck (Salami, roast beef, turkey & ham with Swiss cheese) with *everything*.  Half-trot back to the hotel and I realized my crew was ready to leave.  I take my Potbelly sandwich, stuff it into my jacket pocket (the sandwich isn't small -- I just have huge pockets... so my knots can fit) and hop into the cab.

We were in a van cab - 5 of my cohorts were surrounding me as we were stuck in traffic.  My sandwich growled.  I was damned hungry and I didn't want to make a mess in the cab.  But the traffic got even worse.

Fuck it - I pull out my sandwich.  HOLY FUCK!  The paper bag is near transparent from all the sandwich grease.  I check my jacket to make sure I didn't get sandwich dippings on clothes.  Shit - grease stain my shirt.

But fuck it - I absolutely devour the fucking thing on the cab ride over.  With all my friends jealously looking on as I eat my delicious sandwich, making animalistic grunts and spilling the 'everything' contents on my fingers and face.

That was a damned delicious sandwich.  My friend half-heartedly asked me, "How was it?" I'm in too much sandwich bliss to answer.  Cab driver offers me a paper towel.  I give him a healthy tip.

In a haze, I stumble into Wrigley and manage to get a beer and find my seat.  My friends are eating ballpark food as I drift off in my bleacher seat, beer in hand, Potbelly in my potbelly and in sammich euphoria.

    Potbelly: please come to Canada.

First!  Also, there is a giant pole separating the cashier from the sandwich pick-up station.  It is actually a load-bearing beam. First day they are open for business.  They were moving the crowd well. I am just glad to have another option by work.
