The food is very tasty. I had never tasted fried pickles, delicious!   The DJ was not dance friendly. He played gangsta music with videos of booty disgusting divas in near worship of thugs who consider themselves to be gods.  We requested dance music many times, but the dj must be receiving kickbacks to play anti social music.

Prime Time has great potential just realize they are in Fairfax not Annacostia!

Nachos are alright, quesadillas are meh, and pizzas are delish!! Taco Tuesday and wing Wednesday! Service SUCKS! During happy hour you get excited about the cheap food until you see whats on the menu and think WTF? yeah it's ok nothing special. I know it's bar food but I have had better bar food. It's not that bad though, doesn't break the bank. Just stick to their pizzas. Don't order their wings on any other day aside from wednesday and same goes with the tacos don't order any other day aside from tuesday.

    First time going.
My wife's coworker recommended we try it out.
I heard a couple years ago, their
    Sunday BRUNCH was horrible.
But I guess they upgraded their menu and the quality of their food.

My wife and I went for BRUNCH on Sunday.
    The food was very good.
Not dry and it tasted good.
They had my favorite steak (prime rib not over cooked, but instead Juicy and had red in the center) and also had my
favorite type of crab (Snow crab).

    Their dessert tasted good
Their waffles with whip cream on top was MONEY!

I only gave it a 4 star because they are only open
    on Sundays for BRUNCH.

I'm suppose to go back with my best friend after he gets off his meat fast =)

This place is right next to my house, so I stop in occasionally. Usually for "Tuesday Taco" night. Love the staff, but i'm 40, and it's a place for a younger crowd. Loud music, bar oriented, etc. I have met several Washington Redskins there....;) If you're 20-30, 6 stars, but my old .....4 :) Great "Looking" staff, you'll be pleased, good place to go, just talk loud. Their pizza is incredible! I keep telling them to deliver, i'd eat it 3 nights a week!

I went here on a date to watch the Mayweather fight. They were charging $10 to get in (not bad) and it was packed (as expected). We took a couple of laps around the bar and there was absolutely nowhere to be seated. After a while and thoughts of standing the entire night, I upped my awareness and noticed somebody get up from the bar. I left my date (for the sake of finding US a seat) and politely asked if the seat was taken. The night was looking up! So I had a seat and he was cool enough to stand beside/near me while we had drinks. The bar tenders were attentive enough (given how crowded it was). It wasn't awesome service, but it was fine and I didn't have any major complaints. This place gets a 4 because it showed the fight for a $10 cover otherwise it would have gotten a solid 3 for being a decent bar to grab a drink.

Let's start this off with me saying: I LOVE bar food.  Grease, cheese, fat, meat. Gimme more!

I'm not giving this place an OK because I am a salad-lover dissing a good batch of nachos.  I just didn't think that it did anything well.  Service was infrequent and uneven.  The menu was not compelling; it is rare that I find NOTHING on a menu I would like to purchase. Especially at Happy Hour.  Though there were specials, the server did not alert us to them or tell us that there were Happy Hour versions of the food we had ordered.  It took over 15 minutes for anyone to even get to the table in the near-empty section.

I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla.  It's hard to get that wrong, but there was little chicken with the tortilla soggy on the underside.  The Guacamole had a very strange off flavor.  This should be a slam dunk, but instead it was a strike out (Sorry to mix my sports metaphors).

With so many great sports bar options, I doubt I will be back to this one unless their menu overhaul that they are advertising proves spectacular.

Also, splitting the check was a nightmare.

Really huge bar with a few pool tables in separate section. If you're looking for billiards, I would suggest going to a place with more tables, but this place is good for just hanging out and having a few drinks. The only thing I tried off of the food menu was the spinach dip, which was pretty good. Parking is a little hard to find as it is in the same shopping center as xsport as well as a bunch of other small restaurants and shops.

I came here after dinner at Olle.
I've always driven past it and decided to give it a shot.
I guess I am not a fan of sports bars?

Well, we did order wine, and you're probably not supposed to order wine at a sports bar.
    The wine was nasty.
However the server was really nice.
I think in the sports bar grading, it deserves 5 stars-it seems really fun if you like sports bars!!

I recently came here for happy hour with a group of friends in December.  This is a great place for groups since they have lounge type seating and high top table seating as well.   I would stick to draft beer however since the drinks were inconsistent.  One bartender in the main bar, his drinks we all thought were watered down or something.  Other than that, there plenty of tv's to watch your favorite team play.  We ordered nachos to share and chicken tenders, pretty basic bar food which was fine.  The waitress was awesome because she successfully kept track of each individual check!  I will certainly go back.

The setup is super nice with huge comfy booths and a ton of TVs playing with all of the days games on.  The drinks were cheap and the food reasonably priced.  The staff is friendly most of the time, however a few of the servers have their heads up their butts and look at you like you're crazy for asking some very simple questions.

The menu consists of your typical sports bar food and they could definitely do a better job with this.  Possibly have the cook come up with some signature dishes that people specifically go to Prime Time for.  As of now, I only go to watch a game that's on, never just for the food.

Service was OK, I loved the fried pickles (the sauce is spicy...) nachos were OK, but I was hankering' for them. The wings were good, but I grew kinda tired of them within 3 bites, and the fries leave a lot to be desired. Only big problem was the jerk on the couch...but the management have nothing to do with him. I would go back for a special event. Prices are good for a sports bar...but that's to be expected...one thing I liked was the server kept my drink full.

Came here for a friend's birthday to watch the Redskins vs. Giants Game this past Monday night. It was perfect because they have TVs EVERYWHERE. Our group got up to around 20 people. I'm pretty sure that someone in our party had made reservations for us ahead of time and we got a couch and some ottoman type stools to sit on.
Our sever, Holly, was very friendly and patient even though we kept her running around and she was very busy once other large groups began to arrive.  She also did a great job with all of the separate checks which I know can be a pain in the ass since I also serve myself!  Thanks Holly!!
The Happy Hour prices were good, as were my margaritas. The food was pretty good as well, not like some sports bar food I've had elsewhere.  At the risk of sounding like a fat kid, the fries here are bomb! My pregnant friend and I were eating them and she says: "They're like crack, because you just want to keep eating them!" It's totally true, it's not just because she's pregnant! Haha!
I liked the atmosphere here and the couches, good place to hang out. I would definitely come back.

This has become our favorite happy hour spot. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just an excellent appetizer menu and a good selection of brews on tap. We love the chicken wings and loaded nachos.

Service is awesome, indeed, one of the reasons why we enjoy coming here.

    Highly recommended!

Staff was very friendly, ambiance/tv selection was great.

Drinks were pretty cheap and the bloody mary's were good.  (homemade mix...very tasty)

Wife had the southwestern salad and enjoyed it.

I had the wings and was not a fan.  I love chicken wings, they're one of my favorite food groups.  I ordered them  half hot and half Caribbean jerk, which is a dry rub they said (which I usually love).

The wings came out and they had messed up the jerk - no big deal, she said they'd fix it.  She came back in two minutes and they were correct - it' was pretty obvious that the cooks were lazy and decided to re-fry the wings for a minute to get the other sauce off and then put the dry rub on there.  There really wasn't any flavor on them so I asked for some of the dry rub on the side.  Waitress comes back with a cup of oil with a little bit of the dry rub at the very bottom - completely unhelpful.  So the caribbean wings sucked.  The hot wings weren't very good either - and it's pretty hard to screw that up.  So for the wings alone they get 3 stars.

That being said - I'll probably be back, I liked the staff, the environment and the cheap drinks. I'll just eat before I come next time.

I was in the area for a seminar and we all went here for lunch. They only thing that makes me sad is that I don't live close enough to this restaurant. This place has some pretty good food. Yes, it may clog your arteries, but it is good none the less; their burgers and fries... simply amazing. If I am in the area again, I will be sure to pay a visit.

I hosted an event here for over 150 people - and it went off without a glitch.

The event was a celebration, but also a fundraiser for a local non-profit. The owners were so great to work with and they offered more than I EVER expected! The event went from happy hour and lasted until almost 11pm.

They let us use custom drink tickets to pay for drinks at the bar, they brought in food runners to serve our guests all night long, they picked house drinks as a specialty item for our attendees, etc. This place ROCKS!

The food was good, the drinks were served quickly, the wait staff was extra attentive and even re-arranged the entire bar area to fit our needs.

Even though the event was catered to women, the lounge area was comfortable with TONS of TVs for the men/husbands that tagged along.

I definitely recommend Prime Time for hosting an event, hitting up happy hour, dinner, or a late night hang out!

PS, the DJ was just getting started as our group was leaving - wish we could have stayed longer!

Happy Hour, college football, NFL, Monday Night Football, holidays...there is never NOT a good time to hit up Primetime.

I love everything on their menu! You can sit at the bar, in a booth, at a table, at one of their lounge sections w/ couches or even outside when it's warmer out.

Always staffed by a great team of people, it's hard to go here & not have a good time.

They've also recently expanded & added a game room with pool tables, arcades and another bar.

If a local night out is what you're looking for in fairfax, be sure to swing by. Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun are all good nights to hit it up.

    Cheers!

    Great atmosphere!
We went on a Saturday night and they had a DJ And some friendly staffs!
We ordered loaded fries, wings, and pizza.
The pizza said voted best in nova so we ordered it but it was not so good...we probably will stay away from the pizza. the other food were nothing special but your typical bar food. But honestly, I go to sports bars for the ambience so this place gets a four stars for the ambience :)

They also have pitchers of beer so that's a plus :) and the place is very clean!
Although the drink prices are not the cheapest, the ambience makes up for it!

We will be coming back For game days!

I really like this place as a bar. They have a variety of beers. I was also happy to learn that they had Flying Dog's Ragin Bitch on draft. Yum! They also had random deals on beers like a bucket of Shiner Bock 5 for $15.

The seating is nice if you have a small little party. There is couch w/ a coffee table and little stool chairs that are around it on one side of the bar. A lot of groups hang out here.

One of my favorite thing to learn about this place was they had a boxing machine that scores you on how hard you can hit. It was a fun game and a great way to talk to strangers if you are into that sort of thing. :)

I laughed my ass of when this place tried to turn into a light club. I mean, it is a freakin' sports bar. Not a place where I want to watch sloppy drunk guy do any type of dance moves while drooling over sloppy drunk girls.

I did order some food here to soak up the booze. I had their grouper sandwich and it was just okay. It came drenched in tarter sauce to the point every time I took a bite the piece of fish fell out of my bread. The fries were just okay, I did like that they were seasoned fries. My husband had a bacon cheese burger and said it had some funky tasting sauce that he wasn't a fan of. Earlier in the evening others had ordered corn dogs and pizza fries. Again it wasn't anything special and overpriced.

I am a huge fan of UFC fights and hate going to bars to watch them.  I like to actually "hear" , not just "see" the fights on TV and Prime Time accommodates that.  Most places that have the fights in this area get super busy and never have places to sit, Prime Time has a ton of seating and doesn't get too crowded.

I also love the fact that you don't have to sit at the bar to enjoy the fight, they offer a full dining menu and dining room seating during the fights! I really loved the wings and the dining room seats all have great tv views.  What better to snack, drink , sit back and watch the fight!  Highly recommend Prime Time if your serious about watching a sporting event and aren't necessarily looking for the bar scene.  There is a bar, but you don't have to sit at it if you choose not to.

I'm not into sports, but I AM into bars, so I suppose it's no surprise I found myself here for happy hour one day.

The place is very spacious and everything is brand-spankin' new. I was seated with about 10 other friends in the "couch section" against the window. It was a row of leather couches and other chairs forming a circle. It was great for conversation, and a nice exchange from my stiff work chair.

I can't recall any tremendous specials during Happy Hour that day, but I was really only there for the company (and a blue moon).

Our server was attentive, and excellent. She split all of our tabs individually without request and by memory, which was awesome.

I had a good time, and I appreciate the ample parking.

Hell, I'm just glad a sports bar opened up in the area that isn't ICONS!

This is a sports bar with a serious identity issue. First the Pros:

TV's everywhere, if it is sports and worth seeing it will be on in there!
Place was packed and our waitress never missed eye contact every trip by to ensure that we were all set.

Cons: As long as you have no intention of hearing what is going on with any of the games or even at your table then you will be fine.... This is a sports bar that thinks it is a Night Club... I love me some music, but I could not talk to the waitress, it was more of a screaming to order. This sound system totally rocks, great bass and the DJ was pretty damn good, but the problem still is the fact that Primetime Sports Bar & Grill is a want to be Night club. (Given that this was a Saturday evening maybe this the norm for a Sat.)

Food was typical bar food with some extras, I ordered 1 set of medium and a set of inferno Buffalo wings, but was not impressed with either as they didn't have much flavor and the "inferno" was not much hotter than the Medium.

All in all I would go back again to see if it was just a one time thing...

So I really don't remember much about this place other than our wretched-looking server and the terrible music videos playing in the "background."

First off, our server looked like a bad version of Cindi Lauper - Yes, that's pretty terrible! She barely ever came to our table and when she did, you had to speak fast because she didn't want to be there for long (even though we were being nice and conversational). I ordered a  beer and about 20 minutes after I finished it, she just brought me a new one. It was late and I didn't even order it. That really takes some talent!

Next were the music videos. First off, the music was playing so loud that you could not even talk to the people at your table. But the worst part was there was this incredibly long inappropriate music video playing for what felt like at least 12 minutes. It was some video about a wolf or something and the guy was naked all but his head, which was attached to his groin area rather than the top of his body. My friend and I just kept awkwardly looking at each other and laughing. It was so uncomfortable in a funny way. Many of the other videos were 80's fitness type video with women in leotards. I could just not get into the vibe of the DJ there. They should have told him to change that really bad video!!

The only food item I remember was the nachos. They were pretty good. My husband has since gone back to watch some games with friends and they really enjoy hanging out there for that, but I think we just had an unusually bad experience there one night. I would definitely give it another shot in hopes of another waitress and a better DJ. He recommends the seared ahi tuna and says it better than tuna served at some of the other places near by.

Went to watch some March Madness games last night. Seating is not hard to find in this place so it was nice. There are many TVs and Big Screens there to watch any game you want.

Food: Back Back Ribs (Full Rack)
    - Wow...Full rack is like 2 full racks at any other place (a lot!). Was good and meat fell off the bone so was prepared well. The sides you get are also in large portions. I basically had a whole lunch for the next day.

Drinks: Normal prices like any bar in the NOVA area.

Service: Friendly, didn't have any problems as our server was nice.

Other: DJ came in around 10ish. Music was pretty loud where you had to yell to talk to someone but crowd was small overall. Seems like a pre-game meeting ground before you go out into the city. For March Madness, it was surprising to see about maybe 40-50 people overall in there (they have a good setup in there for sports). Looking for a not so crowded place with variety of food and drinks for sports...this would be ideal.

It passes the requirements of providing decent food during NFL Sunday. It's easy to park, there's plenty of tables if you arrive early enough, and there's no smoking (for those of you who are still on the cigarette habit - you've got to do your thing outside).

    Wings: Average
    Location: Average
Service: Typical sports bar service...you receive good service for the first 30 minutes, and then you spend the remaining 90 minutes of the big game trying to find your server.

    3 stars.

Terrible location. Located in the backend of a shopping strip, I still got lost after my Garmin tells me I've "reached my destination" (eff you Garmin).

Typical sports bar. Everything here is mid-range, from the food to the service.

    1) there are TVs EVERYWHERE.
    2) Outlets everywhere.
    3) They do have wifi, but it's security protected. Might have to ask staff for password.

Great place to catch a game and chill out.

Nice little local watering hole. 3 stars for service and food. 1 star for location. Living out west takes it toll on always wanting to go out to D.C. so PT is a nice compromise.

The food here is that of bar food quality. Deliciously bad for you but what we all love and want. Melted cheeses, deep fried, saucy and greasy.

Be wary, on busy nights cops lurk around the corner - not that you should be drinking and driving anyways but it is intimating regardless.

All right, I'll write a more useful review.

Don't worry, it still gets a good rating! :)

The atmosphere of this bar is awesome.  I highly recommend watching a game here.. esp. basketball games.  There's a lot of tables, a bar that seats a lot of people, TVs everywhere, and even 2 big screen projections!

The staff is friendly too.. even when the restaurant goes chaotic, they still remain calm and continue to serve you and treat you well.

As far as drinks, they offer a wide selection of beers.  They even offer pitchers for the beer drinkers and pretty much anything you want from a bar.  My favorite is the passion fruit mojito.  For food, I haven't tried much, but they offer the basics you get at any bar like chicken fingers, fries, chips, etc for appetizers.  However, they do serve things I don't expect from a sports bar, like a fajita and steak!  A server walked by with a sizzling fajita and the aroma trailed behind it!  It smelled pretty awesome so I think that's a good sign. :)

This is not bad for a bar.  Happy Hours that last until 9PM on weekdays ($3 beers).  Plenty of HD TVs and looks like a fairly roomy establishment.  I could see it being annoying on really busy nights, but on any regular night, they have bar stools, tables, and even loungy couches to sit in with a big group of friends.

I wouldn't mind coming back to throw back a few beers.

Why do our local bars insist on poor customer service?  Prime time is a very well designed spot, you can tell a lot of money has gone into it.  Went in as a group of four - sat down on the couches that line the wall - were told that we weren't supposed to be sitting there but would be allowed just for the day - ordered cocktails that were watered down terribly - also ordered the happy hour mojito which contained less than half a shot of liquor and an overly concentrated mojito mix.  They didn't offer replacements and we didn't bother asking.

You go to a bar to unwind and relax...chat with the bartenders and meet friends.  This place has nice TVs and drinks...you have to try to ruin a good mood...Somehow this place manages to create a grim atmosphere and fill it up with bad vibes.  No smiles anywhere.

Twilight zone.  It might be a party spot at night...but I don't see a future as a neighborhood fixture without changes.

This place is your average sports bar with tons of tvs, and a large bar area, with the added flare of female servers in black hot pants.  After an epic day of watching college football and the U.S. Open all day at home, we met up with some friends at Prime Time for, what else? More college football and tennis.  Only they weren't showing any tennis - only football.  Boo - it was the women's final too.  By the time we left, they had a dj spinning a strange mix of music and there was a bouncer by the door.  Weird - does this place turn into a dance club at night?  I didn't want to stay to find out.

So why even an "A-OK" rating?  Our server.  She was great.  For example, one of us ordered a sandwich with a side of coleslaw - the sandwich was good but the coleslaw was blegh - so she easily brought out some fries to make up for the coleslaw for no charge.  I'm pretty sure that I won't be back since, overall, this place misses the mark for me, but I was pleasantly surprised that we received such great service here.

As an avid sports fan, I'm constantly in and out of various sports bars in this area for things such as UFC/Boxing fights, football/basketball/hockey games, and events such as the Olympics or World Cup.  Living in Herndon, it's often discouraging for me to drive all the way to Arlington, DC, or just about anywhere inside the beltway to simply watch a game.  So when Prime Time opened up in the heart of Fairfax, I could not wait to go try it.

Since going there for the first time, I've been back many times since.  The atmosphere of this bar is amazing.  The waitresses are beautiful, the owners and managers are exceptionally friendly, and the food was delicious.

On top of all that, the bar provides a DJ and dancing in the evenings in addition to all the big screen tvs located all around the bar for sporting events.

I most recently came to the bar for Cinco de Mayo and had one of the best May 5 celebrations I can remember in several years.  The highlight was this special draft beer that came to us in this giant "blender-shaped" apparatus that contained a cylinder of ice in the middle of it to keep our beer cold.  It was phenomenal.

I love this place, and I will frequent this place often.

OK I can't really give this place an accurate review because I couldn't even get IN.  I was so mad I drove all the way from Frederick to Fairfax and the bouncers (particularly one guy) wouldn't let me in.  My friends had already been there early and had a table.  Btw, this was on Saturday.

They ate and were watching the UFC fight.  By the time I came to meet them, there was a line forming outside, like a club, to get in.  A couple of the guys from inside came out to let them know that they had one more person coming and I was here.  The bouncer said that there were too many people in the venue and I had to wait for some people to leave before I could get in.  A couple people left from our group and he still wouldn't let me in.  He said I had to wait in line like the rest of the people, which by the way wrapped around the corner.

We waited for about half an hour with some of the people from the table standing outside with me to keep me company.  The line didn't move and he still would not let only me in.  I could understand if it was a group of people that wanted to get in and that was the reason why he didn't want a bunch of us in.  But we had already taken up a table and a few people had left also and it was just me.  This one particular bouncer had already singled me out and was just not going to let me in.  I could also see he was letting other people in that he knew.

I mean anyone that is going to be that big of a jerk about letting me in doesn't deserve my business so boo to you bouncer guy.  You are not also getting any of my friend's business as well.  So NO, I will not be going back there ever again.

ok, as promised this time i came in and actually ordered some food to go with my tasty beverages. I ordered the crabcake sliders...i mean it sounds unique enough right? Mistake...the crabcakes were way too rich with a slightly intense aftertaste of some mixtures of seasonings... I'm not a foodie or wannabe foodie so excuse my review for not being the most descriptive.

our server was a charming, fun and very attentive young woman who, after hearing my displeasure over the platter apologized profusely then told the manager  (Nick) who also came out to apologize and allowed me to pick another item from the menu. He was very nice, conversational and very personable.

So although I didn't like my original platter, nor my alternate (i got the cuban sandwich as my consolation prize) I'm still giving the place a good rating. Just minus one star for not liking the first dish, and minus another star for not really liking the other...the grouper sandwich that my friend ordered was GOOD though so that regained more of a half star...but since yelp doesn't allow half-stars i had to concede with a full star.

ok that was more indepth than i wanted to get into but lol you all get the point

Have to agree with Robert on this one. Was SO excited when saw this place was opening, "great, a sports bar right by our house."

Ummm, no. Waitstaff is horrible. Took 15 minutes for someone to come over in an EMPTY restaurant. Had to go to the bar to get someone to come over.

Friends ordered the pizza- yuck. Took 30 minutes. When it came out it was chewy, and COLD. Seriously, how long was it sitting there?

    Will never go back.

I was delighted to know that there was a new sports bar down the street from me, very convenient, but perhaps the convenience is the only thing going for this place.

There are plenty of TVs so whichever game you want to watch you bet it'll be on. I've never tried the food. They have pretty inexpensive drinks. The staff however is horrible. It took standing at the bar for more than 10 minutes trying to wave someone down before I left and made my boyfriend try and order us drinks. By the way, they were not busy at all. He happen to get some blonde chick to get our drinks where she then proceeded to take her damn time. She first went to flirt with some other dude across the bar, then chic-chat with her employee, and adjust her jeans where her belly fat was flopping over before she managed to get our drinks. Please sweetie, you are here to do a job not to look cute (because you def don't look cute so just do your job right). The other bartenders were just as slow.

The bathroom was disgusting. Didn't they just renovate this place? Why not spruce up the bathroom or better yet at least maintain the cleanliness.

They have stools and couches that insist they are "Vegas style." Oh and I laugh at the fact they serve Natural Light as their house beer. That's classy folks. This place definitely draws a trashy crowd. Underage girls and obnoxious dudes. I rather drive an extra few miles to Hard Times or Velocity Five where I can get better food, more efficient staff, drink specials, and whatever else a sports bar should offer.

What used to be Bravos Italian Cafe has now turned into Prime Time Sports Bar and Grill. The beer is plentiful. Decent bar food is served at the newest Fairfax hangout spot. A HDTV can be found at nearly every angle and they host NFL Sunday Ticket!

Overall, I think this place is OK. I came a week after it opened. Tried the food which was mehhh (tasted the chicken and fries). Same old bar food. See High School reunion faces all over on a weekend.

But this place will join the ranks of Rain, Buffalo Wing University, Bridges, and Auld Shebeens as hotspots seen on their grand opening, to just another "local" bar when partygoers don't want to make the trip to D.C. In essence, another flash-in-the-pan waiting to happen.
