While I hate to admit it, I eat Qdoba a few times a month. It's as close to fast-food as I get. It has become a Sunday evening staple.
This downtown spot is a great location, but can be hit or miss on the service inside. Sometimes the food is fresh and everything looks great... sometimes it's the opposite. But with no Chipotle or any other competition downtown, this is my staple Mexican to-go.
The naked pork burrito has been my favorite for years, plus it's only 600 calories and 8g of fat, which is hard to do at a place like this (don't even look up the nutrition facts of their queso!). They marinate their pork in green chiles and a multitude of other spices, it is pretty darn good.
All-in-all this is a good spot for inexpensive, fresh 'fast-food' Mexican.
I love Qdoba and it is a chain...which I normally am not into, but the chicken queso burrito and breakfast burritos are outrageous! They also have a cool loyalty card, where you can accumulate points (I got my first free burrito last night)!
The reason for the 3 star is because of accessibility issues. I live downtown in Fletcher Place and it is sometimes faster to go to the southport location because of parking issues downtown. Overall, the quality of the burrito is pretty legit and the service and staff are friendly! Plus, you get a great view of the monument from the restaurant if you eat outside.
